We switched like a half year ago from the PPG primers for our bodywork to Roberlo Velox, and that's the best primer i've ever used for that, it fills like sprayputty, sands really easy, doesn't need any flash off, also doesn't need wash primer, air dry's in 1 hour, and our finishes improved alot after that. We only use the wet on wet primers from PPG, because they're very good.
@@Onemoretake01 Yeah all the way back in 2020 I ordered a FLG5 on sale for $120 from them (such a good deal) and I remember it didn't take too long to come to California. I bought from them cause it was a super good deal but I also don't wanna deal with fakes which are everywhere nowdays and they're an authorized retailer.
Awesome vid man. Primer gets over looked its the most important part of painting. Its your adhesion for the colour. Im still on the Syrox not additive yea just different mixing ratios for norm to wet on wet. 💯
In the states they got a primer called mastercoat i painted a bicycle and it came off in about a month wasnt impresed but it was on chrome i guess i could have scratched it better in some places and in others i could have treated rust better
We also use an airdry primer from cromax the same concept as the extreme clears from standox , its dry in 5 minutes with an infra red light and it easier to use on larger repairs then uv
I live in Pittsburgh, I kinda have to use the brand “Pittsburgh Plate Glass” :) I’m just an amateur at this, but my RV could do with a coat of paint. Given that it’s 35’ long and 12’ tall, a primer that you can recoat for 7 days sounds great. I will probably have to use a scaffold and move it along. Pretty sure I won’t be maintaining a wet edge for the entire paint job. :)
Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us Gunny, some primers are the same here and in the US but I think the TDS is different due to the different regulations for it's use, I won't mention the brand name here but I use one well known primer plus someone I know in the US uses the same one but here there is no mention of using it as a WoW so it's just a high build or a surfacer but on his TDS it's both of these but also mentions the mixing ratio for using it as a WoW primer where my TDS doesn't, very strange🤔🙏👍John UK
@TheGunmanChannel. Im need help please. Im trying to figure out what hvlp spray gun to buy to use for both base and clear. Can you please give me a few options

I wish my local vendors carried ANI. You've talked em up a lot for years. Love the channel, you're respected in my circles here in Texas!

A road markings' sprayer would be fit for the job😂
@@iNeedMoreHondas I did recently get a cheap cordless paint sprayer. I’m thinking of trying it, but I’m not sure how terrible an idea that is.
