Hacer la pelicula de Selena fue lo que hizo que los latinos conocieramos a jlo y a partir de ahi prestaramos atencion a su trabajo y después de eso la continuamos siguiendo porque es una artista impecable los performance de los american music award son su mejor carta de presentación. Y me da gusto quehaga homenaje a Selena eso demuestra el respeto y admiracion que le tiene. JLo is her own person but when she comes out to honor Selena she respectfully fully embodies Selena's entire essence. I believe jenn looks so good for her age just so that we can have Selena a little bit longer than we did. What a gift to be able to be accepted in such a big way honoring someone else's legacy but also becoming a version of her that no one else can be. A person her family and her fans fully appreciate and love is a very hard thing to do. I don't think it's been done by anybody else in the history of ever. Thank you Jennifer

This had me crying through the entire performance. To see all the success and all the years Jennifer has lived and been able to flourish at her craft and know that that was robbed from Selena and I have to give it to her family and husband to do these performances. It must be so hard. I feel like Chris was so sad. It seems like the older we get the sadder it is. My heart goes out to the family and its nice that Jennifer comes back time and again to do these tributes to Selena.
Its extremely difficult to not be so saddened. Selena was everything and she was so close to having all her hard work truly fully pay off 😞 may she be resting 💔

Igualmente. Yo tenía 6 años cuándo empecé a conocer sus canciones quería algún día conocerla decía en ese entonces, hasta que mi mamá me dijo que ella había fallecido hace 11 años.
Es verdad estaba muy joven y no merecía partir tan joven, Selena se a convertido en la cantante leyenda mas importante de todos los tiempos aun la queremos y la extrañamos yo la escuche a los 10 años con amor prohibido y me enamoro hasta el día de hoy.

Breaks my heart still to this day. Chris looks at like he's about to get emotional. I would too. He's been through alot even after she passed on how her family treated him. Crazy I'm glad he now can be who he is and talk about his wife that passed without her family threatening him.

Cheers to JLo, I grew up with Selena and watching the movie countless times. JLo really did shine in this role. But, Selena's vocals were at a completely different level. Her riffs were so complex but effortless. Her vocal fry for the raw emotion was natural with years of perfection. There are so many examples of Selena sounding completely different depending on the sound she was looking for. She was truly talented.
Jlo isn't Selena and she can't sound like her. So how about we appreciate JLO for her abilities while she's here
