Daniel James, Ashley Barnes, Mauro Icardi.
Mint idea
Karlinhio Tink cheers
Form is permanent they’ll get found out
Daniel Oliver form isn’t permanent
My Grandad trained with Third Lanark as a teenager & played games at youth level but his Dad passed away so he had to give up on playing football to go and support the family. We never got the chance to take him back to Cathkin Park before he passed but I’ve been myself and it’s really emotional imagining the thousands in the terraces.
Where's Doel? Doel is a small town in the city of Beveren. They used to have a small club named FC Scheldezonen Doel. Doel is located close to the port of Antwerp (2nd biggest port of Europe). In 1998 the Port of Antwerp wanted to expand so all the people who lived in the town would get to sell their house to the state for the price where they bought it for. Nearly everybody moved out of the town, except for a few people. To this day 18 people still live in Doel. It's one of the worst places to live in Belgium because a few miles from the town is a nuclear power plant named after the ghost town. In 2016 "New Saeftinghe FC" a club of 22 friends were forced to leave their field.
7 players who played on with medical conditions (like saúl and Edgar davids)
You forgot "Plovdiv Stadium" in Bulgaria. It used to be the largest stadium in the country with around 55 000 capacity, hosting matches of the local team Botev against Barcelona and Bayern, as well as a huge Metallica concert, but has been in disrepair since the 1990s due to numerous reasons.
Great shout, I've visited Plovdiv a few times, such a beautiful city, & this was the first thing that came into my mind when I watched the video.
Wageningse Berg in Wageningen, the Netherlands. Opened it's doors in 1899, but the first team playing in it was WVV Wageningen in 1911. WVV played in the 2nd tier of Dutch football after the introduction of it in 1956. It remained their ground up until 1978, when WVV's first team became FC Wageningen. They played Eredivisie football for 2 seasons, both of which they finished bottom of the league. They do hold the record for PSV's biggest ever home defeat, smashing them 6-1.
FC Wageningen went bankrupt in 1992 after both the local authorities and the Dutch FA refused to cooperate with their plans. At that time Wageningen was a comfortable mid-table team in the 2nd tier.
It's not allowed to tear the stadium apart, because it was build on a protected nature reserve. Now and then the University of Wageningen uses the ground to welcome new student, so I guess it's not completely abandoned, however they do nothing to stop the ground from rotting away.
As a kid I remember going with my friends to play football at the Fallowfield Stadium the venue of the 1893 FA Cup final, I think it was only finally knocked down the the mid 1990s by then it was owned by The University of Manchester
MJ C that’s so cool, being a kid in ur day sounds so fun

The Ewood Bridge (Stand Athletic FC) ground is a 5-10 minute walk from my house.

The Stadion Za Lužánkami’s story is interesting, to host a game as recent as 2015 and look decent for that after the state it was in! Such a shame it was neglected again after the spectacular
In Hungary there is a big abandoned stadium in town name Akasztó and the name of the stadium is Stadler stadium.
Never related to this channel as much as I do now, absolutely love these stadium videos
Please do more stadium related videos, as I find them fascinating to watch :)
What about the Olympic Monumental Stadium in Porto Alegre, Brazil? I heard that ghosts are haunting there.
Gremio.

Great channel
Number 1 is from my hometown. I rember as a kid, that 40 000+ fans on league games. It is very sad story and even if the movement between football fans to return back to this stadium is very strong the chances are almost none. Also the once quite good club Zbrojovka that was playing there is now playing only second division.
I went to stand athletic last year to take some pics. Nice little explore the ground even has a bus stop and the remains of platform the Ewood Bridge and Edenfield railway station on the other side. There is (was) another abandoned ground about half an hour away at Rossendale fc's Dark lane
Ngl I love ground hopping (visited Blyth Spartans recently which I really liked), and am a sucker for abandoned videos
I've been subbed a once early 2017
It's been a journey bros.

Have a look at Casement Park in Belfast. It's a Gaelic football stadium, but has been left to rot over the last 10 years.
7 Smallest Ever Top Flight Stadiums
That's going to be hard, because a lot of top flight teams in countries like Laos, Chad, the Comoros and Vanuatu use - or have previously used - stadiums with literally 0 capacity.

Stadion za luzankami is actually being used. The youth teams of Zbrojovka Brno play there and just 2 weeks ago the ground hosted a match with the zbrojovka Brno legends.

That has to be the funniest thing I’ve ever read. Shat my pants laughing. Generational comedic genius. You should do stand up
One interesting of an abandoned stadium is a Portuguese club called Salgueiros. They used to be a big club in Portugal many decades ago, and had since dropped off. A couple of years ago when they were doing the subway system in the city of Porto, they wanted it to go right under the stadium but the club couldn’t continue playing in that ground if that were the case. The city bought their ground and built the metro and there is even a stop with the name of the club exactly where the stadium is. Some stands were taking down, but it’s still there. The interesting part is that the new ground was never built because the owners ran away with the money. The club even stopped existing for a bit. They’re back now playing on loaned grounds and focus mainly on their academies
There's also a Stadium in the netherlands that is technically abandoned, called "De Wageningse Berg" which was home to FC Wageningen, a former Eredivisie team, they last played in 1992. Their amateur branch is still active as WVV Wageningen, where I played for 18 years.
top 7 closest stadium in europe, from the same division, that are not in the same city.
“50,000 people used to live here. Now it’s a ghost town”

There are several big ones in Brazil. Pinheirao in coritiba, Olimpico in porto alegre,
I've visited Ewood Bridge, it's a strange place, but worth a little mooch if your near
bro please make a video on
LUIS FABIANO he WAS SO UNDERATED!!! Not that many players in the world could do what he did in that game back then and still he never made it to a huge european force. It's a shame because now it is to late .
Tivoli - Aachen. It is besides the new Tivoli but there is an residential area now. The intersting thing about it is that the stairs that lead to the south stand is still walkable and the south stand is still noticeable. The old Tivoli was known as the stadium with the best atmosphere in germany. just 22.000 capacity but everyone who had the play there knows that this Stadium was actually a hell for away teams. If you want proof look for the video Aachen - Bayern DFB Pokal 2006/07 ... Bayern never won a cup game in the old Tivoli. It is quite impressive.
I was not expecting my hometown stadium - Tiger Stadium in Detroit - to show up at 1:28. It was a soccer stadium in the 1960s, though, and it was abandoned for many years, but it has now been demolished.
Worst nuclear accident in 1986?
Tohoku
2011 wants to shake things up...which makes me wonder if there's any football stadiums near the Fukushima plant, now I think about it. Everyone remembers the Ferris wheel, but I genuinely had no idea Pripyat even had a stadium. Or it was formed in 1970
I've been to cathcan park as my brother lives in Glasgow
there is a group on facebook and twitter actually bringing this ground back to its old days cathcan park project i think its called and there making good progress
@Marq LOECSTA it's glasgow city council that owns it not South Lanarkshire Council, thats a good bit away from Glasgow
7 players who snaked Ireland for england
Declan rice
Could easily name 7. Couldn't name an actual Irishman that did, though.
To be fair, McCarthy and McGeady snaked Scotland for Ireland
I love HITC sevens
You showed the Mane Garrincha in Brazil but I'm Brazilian and I know that, that stadium was not abandoned, it is still used for neutral beginning round Cup Games, and teams that sell there home advantage, play there this season there have been 6 or 7 league games there.
This is an ok channel!
I was hoping to see 2 grounds in this video, Cathkin Park was included but I think Bradford Park Avenues old Park Avenue Ground should have been included over Ewood, they were a top flight (Division One) side when they played there and the main stand is back to back with what was at the time a county standard cricket ground that hosted Yorkshire games.

Czechia, world leader in abandoned stadiums
Fascinating to you maybe !!!
Is the Donbass Arena still classed as abandoned? Since Shaktar Donesk havent played there since 2014 due to the conflict
The Donbass Area in Donetsk, Ukraine has not be used since 2014. Due to the conflict/war/invasion in the area (use your team of choice).
Mill Moore? Probably spelt it wrong but it’s the old Rotherham ground. It’s still there! It could be on the list but I got excited straight away lol. I’m a blade but it’s the next town to me
Millmoor, Rotherham Uniteds old ground. Land is owned by former Rotherham Chairman and when he sold the club would not allow them to use the ground so they had to build a new stadium, a big chunk of which funded by the local council, the new one holds only slightly more than the previous and is about half a mile from the old one anyway but Millmoor still stands slowly rotting away
Anyone else who is surprised that Donbass Arena is not on the list?
The Empire Stadium in Malta could of been on this list.
Thy are Soo lucky he have many stedium
I had expected the shaktar Donetsk stadium to feature.
Stadio Sant'Elia, Cagliari, World Cup 1990, abandoned 2017.
in the picture at 8:36 I'm sure the red thing is a bin but.....it looks a lot like the worlds most dedicated posty is doing his rounds.
The leagues from all the continents
There is a stadium in Plovdiv Bulgaria which is the wargest stadium in Bulgaria but it isn't used.
Great shout, I've visited Plovdiv a few times, such a beautiful city, & this was the first thing that came into my mind when I watched the video.
I’ve played at Cathkin park before

Abandoned football stadiums without the RICOH ARENA???

Best Clubs in Southern Asia
Toronto FC in 07?
Seattle Sounders in 09 (or the 70s)
Portland Timbers in '12 (or the 70s)
Providence Park (old civic stadium) was built in 1926 and until the Timbers were awarded an MLS franchise and it was refurbished it used to be an utter craphole. I've worked on two different refurbishments at different times over the past 25 years and while doing foundation work, we discovered human remains that had been buried for at least 50 years. Also some of the biggest rats outside of NY City, size of small dogs (Beagle or Terrier size) and absolutely unafraid of humans. A co-worker whacked one with a shovel and it ran up the handle and bit him in the face, true story. Great iconic small stadium now, very reminiscent of the great old small European football stadiums (except for the damn field turf). Even though it's the latest generation of field turf it's still artificial, there's no reason that a hybrid pitch like the one's used in England couldn't be installed.
Fifty thousand people used to live here now its a ghost town" Captain Macmillian
7 stadiums that is bigger than its support base
Doesn't have to be a list video just curious to your favourite stadium right now
Third lanark where some team dominated Scottish football for a while even with rangers then celtic in the league
you cool, man
Former Mallorca stadium?
Probs on the pronunciations btw 👏
After the stadium opened it hosted the 2012 Miss World Pageant won by the Chinese contestant. Quelle surprise!
"Nuclear"...
Didn't include Leyton FC in Walthamstow!
Used as a carpark for a curry house now, all they did was smash through the turnstiles and let cars park on the pitch!
Riverside in derry ?
I SUGGEST YOU CHECK THE HISTORY OF FLOWER LODGE,ONCE HOME OF CORK HIBERNIAN AND IT'S SAD CHANGE FROM THE STADIUM WITH THE BEST FOOTBALL PITCH IN IRELAND TO A GAELIC FOOTBALL STADIUM,AND MILLTOWN THE FORMER STADIUM OF SHAMROCK ROVERS IN DUBLIN AND IT'S DUBIOUS SALE AND REDEVELOPMENT AS A HOUSING ESTATE SESPITE HUGE OPPOSITION.
I find fascinating, how big inluence had Za Lužánkami stadium on the Brno fans. There was always big crowd regardless on importance of the game, but ever since relocation, the attendance is rather laughable.
7 most expensive goals
Dan Zorny wtf
What does that mean
huh
Just about EVERY Chinese city has an "abandoned" (ie. Unused) stadium. Almost every Chinese city has a large enough population to justify a stadium. But VERY few have a football team good enough to get people to want to pay money to watch it.
You heard of the Scarborough pirates, that's closed
