Definitely a fan of the final version of Venom's voice. To this day, I compare it against whatever modern incarnation they have going on.

That first unused sound is actually in the first level inside the bank. After you open up the second area with those numbered switches, that sound bite plays when you enter the second room and see the enemies and hostages

Venom's voice is more likely a temporary placeholder to fit the mouth flaps animations with what he'll say. Remember he and Carnage are the only characters to move their mouths when speaking, and Carnage barely speaks.
6:36 is from the intro level when you swing to the bulding before the end of the level. 6:48 sounds like an alternative version of the previous one I mentioned.
6:53 is from Hostage situation, after you pass the door that is unlocked via switch #3.
I feel like the one at 6:48 is also used in the PS1 game. I could not tell you where EXACTLY, but I have a vague memory of it around the same area from 6:36

Yeah, I was shocked when it showed Venom throwing an entire Mexican family into the sewers, yelling "have fun stealing jobs from American roofers down there". It was a different time, I guess.
That’s amazing, so much of what seems as simple design flaws or graphical mistakes actually had meaning behind them like as you mentioned how when monster ock chases you the meter has him wearing sunglasses when he clearly isn’t. Even as a child when I looked through the storyboards I wondered why is the lizard there when he most definitely hasn’t been seen in game since the maze level.

That early Venom voice sounds like a temp track that one of the devs probably recorded. They wouldn't have considered using echo filled voice over lines in the final game.

used to play this game since I was 3 years old with my great-grandmother watching me. she called the characters by some funny and obviously incorrect names. gold memories. played it again in 2018, remains fantastic! wish they could remake it

I remember playing a Spider-Man demo at a game store that looked very similar to that 1999 E3 footage. However, this had to be closer to the release of the 2002 movie, so I assumed it was either for that or Enter Electro. I have looked up several demos though and this is by far the closest to what I remember.

I actually like the red eye thugs,the scorpion model,the lizard model and the symbiotes both final and beta monster ock
I used to have the fake version, and it in fact was somethat unplayable, some levels were missing, defeating venom would do nothing (you just continued un the level without nothing happening) the training levels we're all broken, and the final level (monster ock) would end before (as soon as you got to 3rd floor it was over), there was only normal dificulty, and the level select was all unlocked

The unused music sound; complied.Xa (67), makes an appearance in the PC port, when you reach the building with the henchman on it and right before helicopters get shot down, I think.

The sound file Compiled. XA 67 sounds like a piece used in the level hostage situation. I remember it playing when a guard walks into view on it. Meander effect?
is amazing that i can find all this about one of my favorite video games as a kid, i loved the hell out of the game and its sequel, i love it so much, and venom is probably the best ive seen him since Separation Anxiety on the SNES, thank you all so much for keeping my favorite video game in public view

They used the blue scorpion costume to create symmetry between the game and the then-newly rebooted Spider-Man comic line, "Spider-Man The Next Chapter." The reboot comic didn't last long before they returned to legacy numbering so it's probable that most people who played the game didn't even know about it or the inspirations it had in the game, hence the common complaint about Scorpion's design in the final game.
That first music sound was from when you're in the bank and hurry up and shoot up to the ceiling right as the one guard is coming around the corner.

Compiled.XA[83] and scary0 had to be some of the coolest unused sounds clips in the game. They sound so freaking cool
murtizta that would’ve been so cool. Almost like with the Monster Ock level and the Killer Croc part from Arkham Ayslum but better. Lizard would be a great stealth villain to take on.
Sad that he was reduced to a mere cameo when they hyped him up so much...
murtizta maybe it could’ve been like that when you’re at the sewer entrance. After entering the sewers, you then battle him on top of the subway. then he stalks you through all the levels after until you reach the second fight. Substitute Venom with Lizard and it would’ve been so cool to fight him in his lair.
Basically substitute Venom with Lizard, or give Venom a smaller role. Hell, you could even have them work together to stalk Spidey.
That would be the shit.
Thank God they changed Venom's voice, I guess they were going for the big dumb villain thing but definitely went overboard

3:26, walls look like in that level where you are on top of a train. Also 6:36 plays at the first level in the bank, when you open door via switch, you walk there and the thug walks out of a corner triggering your spider sense. I would love to play the earliest version that was on E3 :/ the city looks interesting.

The third meter from the demo looks like a timer, since many levels in the full game have them, and it appears to go down as the demo goes on

i know this is old but that first unused sound plays in some version of the game when you approach one of the henchmen in get to the bank
1:27 I believe that third bar was mean't to represent the enemy's health, and it was moved to the left to avoid confusion from the last build of the game. That's just me though, I didn't grow up with ANY of these games. 🙁

this game and the 94 animated series are my favorite incarnations of spider man outside of the comics. this game was incredible when it came out and is still amazing especially on dreamcast
I wonder if someone from Neversoft/Vicarious Visions or Activision still has Spider Man 2000/Enter Electro source code or its gone forever. I wish some company did Spider Man Duology Remaster/Remake like Crash N.Sane Trilogy
I'd rally for a remaster of these games any day. Thing is, that Activision doesn't own the license to the Spider man video games anymore so it would be almost impossible to get them to cooperate with Sony to make one. Which really saddens me because of the immense nostalgia I have for these games.

i think the 3rd Meter is for either webbing up an enemy by holding a button or a separate meter for shooting web
The Compiled.XA[67] & Compiled.XA[81] tunes can be heard in the first 4 bank levels of the game, I've encountered both sounds quite commonly when playing these early levels. I've not heard the others tho so its probably changed or removed.

I think maybe that the third meter is some kind of timer,I'm looking at maybe it's because I don't have my glasses but it looks like it wasdepleting and became fully depleted when the helicopter showed up.
I couldn't be the only one who was scared by this game as a kid but still played and enjoyed it
Hey can you give me a hand? I've been trying to play this game but theres a few glitches going on that make it unplayable. When the helicopter is chasing spidey and he has to swing to a box and the box falls, he is suposed to swing in this scripted sequence but he doesn't.
