Thanks for sharing another excellent video. Absolutely awesome. I obtained my Opal card back in 2017, while up in Nelson Bay NSW, though since then, I have been back in Victoria and I have not been able to use it again.
The reason why the numbers are so high is because they continued on after the numbers of the old trams. The last of the old trams was R1 2087 (2001 is at the Tram Museum at Loftus). The first trams on L1 (the Dulwich Hill Line) were 2101-2107 (2107 is also at the Tram Museum). I don't know why the Randwick trams did not continue on with this tradition.
phil please take note of where the trams stop on the platform. perhaps some drivers are learning but i noticed some were short meaning the last door was not on the platform. also the app anytrip has the vehicles number - both 2170 and then the actual number 10
Haven’t been on parramatta light rail 🚈 yet. But going on it soon

I like how frequent these light rail come through...
Can you still tap on and off inside the light rails..or only outside...
Like all other Sydney light rail lines, you tap on and off on the platform, not on the tram
Thanks.. I was only asking as I left Sydney before these trams TOOK OVER..
