Join journalist Millie Kerr as she captures the unforgettable sight of these bats emerging at dusk to feed, and spends some time with leading bat expert and photographer, Merlin Tuttle to discuss the threats facing these often misunderstood mammals.

Tuttle is a legend, an angel for bats in the entire world
They're truly a specular sight to look at 😍🤎
These bats are wonderful to the environment, and being at risk of becoming endangered because of developers constructing yet another industrialized, polluted, danger to our ecosystem is what this species is faced with.
+Vivian Duncan Shows why humans are the cruelest animals.

So, what ever happened with the development in the area? Was it created or defeated?

Thank you for sharing this! It's so important that we Christians stand up for the creatures God made which play vital roles in His Creation, our ecology.
How come their are not any other kinds of mammals than bats that can fly?
That's a good question ... they seem to fit some kind of ecological/evolutionary niche.
Oh my goodness I can't believe I actually misused the word "their". I should really know better. How embarrassing.

To the question of mammals with "true flight":
Flight is a very difficult thing to evolve into. So it shouldnt be too surprising that true flight in mammals is a very rare (unique) thing, given that birds were already around and there was no completely free niche to claim.
The first birds appeared about 155 million years ago. Placential mammals around 90.
