The best atmosphere ever at the Emirates.Lets give every away team 10k a game.Thats what football is about passion. Not prawn sandwiches and selfies Every German team that has ever played Arsenal their fans have always been great
First apologies to every arsenal fan who feels offended by our cologne invasion to Emirates on Thursday. Please be assured that this was definitely not the intention. Many Cologne fans have a sympathy for Arsenal and not only due to Lukas Podolskis time over there. We have been waiting for 25 years for our first european away game and we have more than 100.000 club member in Germany and much much more fans. For most of us it was simply a MUST to be on our first away game and Arsenal was the perfect destination for this historic (from our prespective ;-) game. I think everybody who is a passionate football fan should understand this. It was simply no option for us to simply accept Arsenals regular offer of 2900 cards and say 'ok...I got no card so I simply stay at home'. Please be aware that we got more than 60.000 applications for the 2900 tickets (and application was only open for members). Our officials tried their best to get more tickets from Arsenal but there have been no concessions from their side. I can understand this reaction if there is a high demand for the tickets from the own fans. But what they did instead was to allow up to 4 tickets to be bought by Gunners for a ridiculous low price (compared to PL games). This basically set the grey and black ticket market on fire and has been in the end been the root cause for the cologne invasion to home blocks in Emirates. It would have been easy to reserve a few neighboured blocks for cologne supporters in order to ensure fan separation. And sorry for the 50-70 dickheads who tried to enter the block...
Don't be stupid. Illegal ticket touting by train stations near the emirates stadium. There's one thing passionately supporting your team, another thing marching en mass and causing serious problems.
Aroh Rl_9 About koln fans >>>> THAT IS ARSENAL FANS TO DO TO MAKE WENGER RESIGN!!!!!! Look they are insane and got react from uefa, and gooners must do the same if WENGER fail again this season!!!!!!
we can't deny the fact that their fans was amazing even when they we're losing they still sang like they won, but overall good performance from Arsenal bring on Chelsea!!
how could they be suprised? England bombed germany since 4. September 1939 germany answered noumerous bombings and almost 1 year later since September 1940...
I was in the clock end with my sons. Along with about 6 teenagers we were totally surrounded by Koln fans. Despite being a bit wary to start with it was one of our best nights in the Emirates. Atmosphere was off the charts and the majority of Koln fans were great Saying all that there were loads of kids and other families who moved out of the area as they did not feel safe. That is a situation they should not have been put in and someone will have to answer for that.
I think you needed to be there......last night was an experience not normally seen in the UK. Not one I'll forget in a hurry anyway and something unlikely to happen again any time soon. We can all criticize other teams fans but being an Arsenal fan I have to be honest and say the atmosphere is not always that good at the Emirates, especially of late. So last night was exciting to say the least!
I've been there Thursday. I'm a fan from cologne and had a ticket for the away section. What we don't understand in Germany is that your club only gave us 5% tickets even when our offficals told you how many guys where comming. And we didn't saw the problems sitting next to Arsenal fans. In Germany we habe three kind of sections within our stadiums. Home, away and NUTRAL! In the last one you always have supporters of both clubs sitting next to each other so we are used to it. For us this is no big deal. Home and away section are the singing areas and you should not go there with a different jersey. We had 50 idiots travaling with us an trying to rush a gate but 19.950 guys where unbelivibale, respectful and made an amazing support in and outside the stadium. Cheers to your police an stewards. They were realy relexed which was one of the reaseon the situation was ok at every time. I know how different the police can act especially in Germany
Robbie, im a 1. FC Köln supporter and german commentators asked why arsenal didn't organised a public viewing for the away fans outside the stadium or something similiar. because there were signs a huge number of us would come to London and even announcements of our fan clubs and others were done that we would be numerous in London yesterday. beside all that Thank you Arsenal for a wonderful Europa Night in London after over 20 years and thank you for your hospitality. This is what football is about, even though the result of the first half had a better taste for me!
Yes well behaved forcing their way in and fighting with Arsenal fans and stewards, true heroes. If Arsenal fans did this in Germany all English clubs would be banned from Europe.
Hi Robbie I loved the atmosphere last night thankfully the Germans are good for there club and the game as a whole. Around the tickets we all know the touts have run free for to long and there’s serious questions that have to be answered around this fact. One question is a worry that what if this was a Turkish team or Russian team would there have been a more different story ??
You have to admire Cologne fans. Koeln had an average attendance of over 40.000 in zweite Bundesliga. I would love to see the same dedication and support also from Arsenal fans. Bear in mind that they have not performed in the last 40 years or so. DT, Claude, Troops and other mourners should be paying attention to these fans.
So what you are saying is that if Cologne would have won the game it would have kicked off? So 20000 fans embraced the game whilst loosing and you think the main problem would have been if you would have lost the game? i am an Arsenal member and a Cologne supporter all my life. Sorry I have to say that but you guys are pathetic. You just do not like the fact that you have been shown in your own stadium what real passion for your club looks like
Etienne Schloemer going to premier league football is for the upper earners. No average man could afford a season ticket or more than a couple of games a season. Germany have price caps on tickets so anyone can afford to go. Our league is one big business venture. For the few not the many. Go to a lower league game and the support is there.
Their support was mad !! Something to learn for the Arsenal and English fans in general. We need more spirit and fight from the fans especially Arsenal
Koln bottom of Bundesliga with no points so far this season. IMAGINE how many fans would have come IF they had a decent team or qualification hinged on that game or they had a greater allocation than 2,900 !!!
Hi Robbie was in the north end in a corporate box and I can confirm that there what looked and sounded to be an all German box down boxes down from us. All had a good sing song but didn't cause any grief. Think there's always gona be a few doughnuts but in general I thought they livened the place up and I loved the drum and the flares. It was like 90s Italian football. The waiting outside wasn't to much fun but no one was exempt even Roy Hodgson that was also stuck at that entrance.
Robbie showing off his private train...so humble. As for the Koln fans, they heard Kroenke was gonna buy their club so they wanted to voice their opinion!
Tell it like it is, you're blessed that these fans came, they made the game fun instead of the deadwood Arsenal fans. The real question is how away fans were louder than Home Arsenal Senior 60+ fans
Cologne told Arsenal that many Fans will come but Arsenal does not Listen so it is Arsenal mistake... Only 150 policeman was a joke from Arsenal. For the game Cologne vs Belgrad are over 1000 policeman at work.
I've done it once on Chelsea's ground. In fact we were around 15.000 Romanian fans that bought tickets all over the stadium, apart from the 2000 official tickets, trying to cheer our Romanian team. Everyone from Chelsea were amazed and a bit upset, but we did not came there to make problems or anything like that. We wanted to support our team, be part of a great show and applause both teams. Fair enough that we celebrated when our team scored, but we also applause when Chelsea scored and won. There are 3 things that need to be discussed on this subject. 1. If Chelsea fans, or in this case Arsenal fans, would not sell their tickets, no Romanian or German would be able to buy extra tickets! If you want to blame someone, blame the fan that back stabbed his own team for few pounds, and because he can't suffer to see himself to such small occasions. Huh, arrogance! I remember i paid 90 pounds for a 30 pound ticket just to be there. 2nd, this is where true fans show themselves. Some consider Europa League too demeaning for them, but for others, just seeing their team playing in such big matches, is the moment of a lifetime. And 3rd. You should never be ashamed of who you support, or how big or small your team is. If you love that team because they have Ronaldo or Neymar in the squad, you are not a real fan. Now, were all those who sold their tickets to the Romaians or Germans, real fans?
at least for once the Emirates Home End actually experienced some passion from fans even though it was from Koln fans...you guys should learn from them...Their fans put Arsenal fans to shame!
It's funny is it....if an English club pulled that they would be kicked out of the competition....yet we all feel happy for the Koln fans having their big day out.
Greetings from Cologne. I think one of the problems was a simple translation error. Arsenal gave out a warning that cologne fans would not be allowed to enter the Arsenal home blocks. In Germany the home block is that part of the Stadium were the Ultras and Hardcore fans are housed. After the middle line the blocks are usualy called neutral, becaus home and guest fans can mix up here. The concept of strictly separate home and guest blocks is simply not known in germany. So that warning meant nothing to us, because we were going to purchase tickets as near to the guest block as possible. Thats common practice at german bundesliga games.
Was great to see some kind of atmosphere at the Emirates from fans dressed in red for a change. Just shows how intimidating that place could be if it had a decent pro active positive crowd every week, never gonna happen though is it?
no it wont ever happen, arsenal fanbase have been socially cleansed so only $$$ will be able to afford this, these people will not protest as they do not have the heart as the proper arsenal fans do,wenger and kroenke r a cancer on our club who need to be cut out and eradicated, the next step after that will be to drive the theatre goers and ex rugby watchers away so we can have our club back again lower ticket prices to same as german prices which is 75% cheaper so the proper old fans can return and play championship football in front of 20,000 proper fans like the koln fans
I was behind 4 Koln fans at H entrance. In one their hands were a piece of paper about A5 size coloured red with the barcode set in the centre on a white background, it had no writing on it and definitely was not a ticket. This was used to gain entry directly in front of me. Was this barcode a generic one for stewards etc. If so how did it get into German hands. Was it simply photocopied?
Hey, I'm new to this channel. Can someone tell me what the fans are singing in the beginning? To be it sounds like they said something something arsene wenger something
Forgive me for seeming ignorant but I'm Australian and I'm not familiar with how European football works but in a continental match, are the opposition fans not allowed into the stadium of the home team or are they segregated to a limited section of the stadium? Because in Aussie Rules if you buy a ticket it's yours and you sit where it is. A reply would be much appreciated
When you love youre Club you do anything for it no matter for what price! its a shame you call yoursel supporters and go home in 70 minute! So thats football Colture Football isnt a movie its love and for many people in germany the biggest part of their life!
I know a Cologne supporter who legitimately bought a ticket in Club Level. He wanted to see the game, he couldn't buy it via FC Cologne so he found another means of getting it but you have to ask how was that possible?
What I want to know is how so many fans were allowed to travel because I thought there was a limit to how many away fans can travel according to how big the away end is. Arsenal only allocated about 3000 seats to the away end for the Köln fans so they should only allow a maximum of 3000 Köln fans to the game. It's basic logic, I don't see why UEFA don't do it that way
Might be basic logic, but the truth isn't that simple. Imagine the start of your next holiday to Europe, where the French guardians in Dover tell you to turn around, because yet another 3000 Englishmen have already entered France the last two days by plane, train or ferry and more are not allowed (by the UEFA) to visit the CL-game in Paris the next day… Fortunately, we all don’t live in a society like that! It is not even advanced logic that 20k away fans who really want to visit that match are going to buy their tickets from the mass of home members who simply are not interested in the disappointing EL. Both were well known facts in advance! Instead of facing the reality Arsenal offered up to four dumping priced tickets to each member and ignored all the requests from Cologne’s officials who were said to have strenuously appealed for more away tickets. It looked like they just feared, that too many away fans could take over the atmosphere in their own stadium… Nevertheless, this was the case. But due to their ignorance in advance they faced some significant security risks and they even seemed to be surprised. If they just have sold the 20k tickets in an extended away end officially, given the bare fact that still there would have been enough home tickets, the whole logistic would have been much easier and we now would only talk about a fantastic night, where the better team won and the atmosphere all over the stadium was as great as it can be. Maybe even the 50 idiots who really made trouble at the entrance would not have done that, if they had their official tickets. Last but not least, we have been there, too, and in our block in clock end we simply had a really great time and didn’t see or feel any problems in that mixed area. Thanks a lot, to the stewards there and to both fan parties who all together clearly demonstrated how football should be!
It was the clubs own fault for giving such a ridiculously small allocation when it was obvious that there would be loads of empty seats in the home end as Arsenal fans didn't want to go.
The manned guarding cost for the Emirates must be huge but what is the club getting for its money? I have been stopped and "searched" twice by the outer ring of guards in all the time they have been there and the guards at the turnstiles conduct an inadequate pat down search but never question what is in my pockets. What's the point? And then on Thursday with events as they were they completely abandon the searches at the turnstiles! As Robbie said, we were very lucky that this didn't turn into a very nasty situation. All of the Cologne supporters I encountered were good natured and just happy that their club was back playing European football.
England Teams need an Ultra Scenes like all others Teams in europe have, but i think the Clubs and the EPL dont wont this . I dont know why ? The different between Football and all other Sports is the passion and the love from the people for their Team
I was there had no idea what was going on queuing to get in only to be told that it'll be an hour delay I didn't hear it a few times because there was a helicopter flying over. Went to get my bag search steward said that weren't doing any searches at all. Just have to say a big thank you to the stewards and the police for maintaining the authority they were amazing as some fans were getting annoyed about it. There will be many questions asked and I have a feeling that the internet ticket system will get a revamp as a result
I see the full responsibility on Arsenals side. Even though there was hardly any interest of Arsenal fans for tickets, Arsenal decided to sell only 2900 Tickets to cologne fans (the minimum that they are forced by UEFA to give to away fans, the Cologne management asked for more as there were 20000 requests for tickets, but Arsenal declined). As Arsenal Fans didnt buy tickets, many cologne fans just bought Arsenal membership so they could purchase tickets for other ends. Also alot of Arsenal members bought tickets and sold them to cologne fans. Thats how they got in. The whole situation could have been avoided by selling more tickets to cologne fans in the first place; there still would have been enough tickets for all the Arsenal fans that went to the game. This is the only solution I see for the game against Red Star, as they also have a big group of supporters on away games... I agree with you that once the situation was there, the authorities did the best of it.
As an american, where there isn't any fan segregation. I find it strange why this is such a big issue, are all the fans obstreperous children? European Football fans must be crazy.
well its kinda a must, this was a one of rare event that considering some minor issues turned out very well. If Fans wasnt segregated then there would deaths and loads of them every week throught fotall in Europe.
Very lucky the incident as bad as it was did not happen the same night the tube attack happened as it was only a day after ? No doubt the police for Arsenal here would have been the same as the London attack too then and then there would have been policing crowd problems .
As wenger said in the not taken the eufa cup series . The Arsenal fans cauld take advantage and sell tickets to the cologne fans who wanted to be there more .
I wouldn't put it past the board that they allowed this to happen to make sure they don't give encouragement to WENGER OUT/KROENKE FANS because of the number of empty seats
Unfortunately, call it ignorance but it seems the shock of being in the Europa league had still not registered with the officials at Arsenal.... and they took not only their eye off the ball (pardon the pun) but forgot that fans of football are passionate wether it be Champions League or Europa League and they MUST do their research on the visiting team and organise their security and special measures accordingly.
This is what football is about, screwing the system to support your club. Go on Koln fans, respect. Too bad Arsenal and their fans didn't like it up them, they should have stayed in and watched Bake Off.
Touts my eye.The FC cologne fans snapped up the tickets, that the tourist gunners didn't want. This is how it's going with top premier league clubs especially the London clubs. The crowds are made up of tourists and day trippers.I mean where have the irons suddenly found a crowd from.Weve lost the edge!!
I turned up for the game, but decided it was all too risky so decided to leave, but not before 2/3 FC Koln fans stopped me for a selfie with them because they thought I was Robbie!! You kidding me? They were as drunk as lords, so that explains a lot...but not everything! LOL!
Is there any reason why Arsenal gave FC Koln just 3k tickets although the Emirates stadium has been far away from being sold out? There were beforehand over 20k cologne supporters willing to buy a ticket for the away-fans area. The representatives of FC Cologne informed Arsenal several times that thousands of cologne fans intended to travel to London although they had no tickets. How could the police and security person in charge be so naive to ignore those warnings? And why weren't Cologne Supporter welcome in at least some home fans areas? I'm really looking forward to welcome Arsenal fans in Cologne wherever they want to sit in the stadium and I guarantee they won't be intimidated by our fans. As a club, which is used to play in the champions league, you have no idea how annoying it is to hide your feelings if your team scores the first goal in an European tournament since 25 years - especially if the opponent team is a well-known club like Arsenal!
The best atmosphere ever at the Emirates.Lets give every away team 10k a game.Thats what football is about passion. Not prawn sandwiches and selfies

1 sniff 2 sniff 3 sniff 4 sniff
dontsniffdacoke guys
All those German fans buying tickets yet my season tickets still went unsold on the ticket exchange. Bummer.
Fair play to them for the traveling support
It's funny is it....if an English club pulled that they would be kicked out of the competition....yet we all feel happy for the Koln fans having their big day out.
The North bank was bouncing. Wow this euro football at its best. How did they get the drums in?
German fans are one of the best 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
It was a monumental moment for Cologne, 25 years, Arsenal officials should have seen it coming. They should just put it down as experience.
The Emirates is full of tourists and is too expensive for the majority of working class fans. So no, nothing will change.
I'm a Newcastle fan if we were back in the Champions League away to Bayern or somewhere like that we would bring A LOT of fans!
Hey, I'm new to this channel. Can someone tell me what the fans are singing in the beginning? To be it sounds like they said something something arsene wenger something
Naturally ultras will take over Emptyrates. Nvm it's Europa league you can't even get behind your team on European nights.
Mac Nicholson they're segregated to a limited section of the stadium but that doesn't just occur in European games, it also occurs in domestic games
Saviour Iwuala cheers man
Robbie is an absolute legend :) I watch ArsenalFanTV all of the time.
EUROPAPOKAL WIR SPIELEN WIEDER IM EUROPAPOKAL💪❤ WE ARE COLOGNE! ❤
dont commit suicide robbie.....we want arsenal fan tv and chill on sunday..Koln almost did that on first half last night....
Jayanta Sen ffs
?
what?
boi
No Robbie was waiting for his private train
When you love youre Club you do anything for it no matter for what price! its a shame you call yoursel supporters and go home in 70 minute! So thats football Colture Football isnt a movie its love and for many people in germany the biggest part of their life!
I know a Cologne supporter who legitimately bought a ticket in Club Level. He wanted to see the game, he couldn't buy it via FC Cologne so he found another means of getting it but you have to ask how was that possible?
I was at the clockend side and I was surrounded by FC Cologne fans
Robbie just overlooking his new high speed rail investment
According to Diane Abbott there were 1.2millon Koln Fans trying to get in the ground
Kind of sad that sports fans have to be that segregated.
It only seems to be football, Rugby is not segregated.
D Sanchez Why is it sad? It's better that way. Mixed fan sections are terrible, even if they can be done safely.
The truth is......FC Köln fans is way more class than arsenal period
Robbie at his train station looking over things making sure the germans aint took over
Good job Robbie very positive coverage
if koln fans did anything wrong, then Robbie would have sniffed them up.
I saw the thumbnail and I thought this was about the south London bomb blast!
Very lucky the incident as bad as it was did not happen the same night the tube attack happened as it was only a day after ? No doubt the police for Arsenal here would have been the same as the London attack too then and then there would have been policing crowd problems .
Football without fans is nothing.
A famous phrase, but not always true. Outside of professional and semi
As wenger said in the not taken the eufa cup series . The Arsenal fans cauld take advantage and sell tickets to the cologne fans who wanted to be there more .
arsenal fans were smart to sell their tickets to get a nice profit, i would of done the same tbh
I wouldn't put it past the board that they allowed this to happen to make sure they don't give encouragement to WENGER OUT/KROENKE FANS because of the number of empty seats
Unfortunately, call it ignorance but it seems the shock of being in the Europa league had still not registered with the officials at Arsenal.... and they took not only their eye off the ball (pardon the pun) but forgot that fans of football are passionate wether it be Champions League or Europa League and they MUST do their research on the visiting team and organise their security and special measures accordingly.
wish we had some more fans like these
At 49 seconds. Was it a German accent Robbie or was it the German language?
They gave arsenal fans an opportunity to buy 6 tickets per person brilliant idea
Robbie at the train station he just purchased xD
This is what football is about, screwing the system to support your club. Go on Koln fans, respect. Too bad Arsenal and their fans didn't like it up them, they should have stayed in and watched Bake Off.
Great idea with the ticket/I.d perhaps should do it throughout the stadium on European nights
why u didnt comment about wenger just went in the tunnel after the match..with ALOT of empty seats for the 2 consecutive time.. arsenal is in danger
We need that sort of atmosphere at Chelsea wish I was living in the UK
TBH even watching it at home, it was a fantastic atmosphere
Got to respect cologne fans, but I heard Arsenal fans were selling their tickets to them. That is disgraceful
Seems Arsenal have been charged with crowding in the staircases. Cologne charged with multiple offences.
Well said Robbie, hope you are not delayed by the bomb scare, as you said, if it had kicked off Millwall style, bloody hell, sniff
If arsenal had passionate fans they probably would b a good team
Only five arrests out of 20,000 German supporters
we where lucky that most koln fans where there as fans of football not fans of hooliganism
If we made half the atmosphere we would win the league every year
I turned up for the game, but decided it was all too risky so decided to leave, but not before 2/3 FC Koln fans stopped me for a selfie with them because they thought I was Robbie!!
