Not sure where you got that info, the first route that used the E200 was the 493. Also, the OmniCity was first produced in 1996, meaning that it is the oldest bus in London by a year.

Thr Citaro has two generations and I think (I dont live in the Uk) and the ine you showed is the newer one and not the 1998 one
I know the 487 were using 58 reg buses I think until recently.
