I wished Billy had completed Nicky Harris's "This Magic Moment" produced project we started at Audio Arts.. But Alas! Nicky was a good friend to Billy.
I'm pretty sure Billy was with the Band of Oz before the 'late 70's/early 80's'. I remember him from 1973- 1976? He was the best lead-singer/front-man that I can remember. I was playing in bands in Greenville, NC the early-to-mid 1970's and knew Billy back then; he was the best! I think the Billy Bazemore/Band of Oz era was their finest moment! IMHO Billy could have been a world famous singer/entertainer, yes he was that good! rip.

Big John Still has the chops, sure miss him in the Band of Oz he did so many of the signature songs

9 years supported him . Had to throw him out.. sick of the drugs. loved him. But he caused me my job.
