wild i use a gx2 for trout to i want to pick up a ultra light tho i tried my buddies out the other day and got like a 13 inch fish and it felt crazy compared to my rod i felt like somebody attached a cinderblock to the end of the rod i was laughing nonstop
its never to hot for trout in my experience lol ive hit limits in 90+ degree weather you just got to fish for them slower when its hot they get lazy in warmer water i think
It’s not that you can’t catch trout, it’s just that if you are catching and releasing then the hotter temps really affect the health of trout. And really get a net trout are really sensitive fish.
try less pressured ponds and lakes my local pond seems to only have small trout but when i go up towards Tahoe and hit any lakes up there i consistently pull out 13 to 15 inch trout for example spooner lake is stocked with tiger trout and i usually catch at least 3 15 inch fish and then a bunch of 13 inch and below fish i dont really like to keep fish unless their around that 14 inch market area it just feels kinda wrong to me but yeah hop on google maps and find like a high mountain lake and dont be afraid to hike i usually catch my best fish when I hike away from where people are

Lol yeah the ultralight is so much fun. You really do notice the difference when you switch over. I highly recommend you get your hands on one.

Love your attitude. I catch trout but they’re always too small to keep…
Thanks sharp. Are they stocked trout? Almost all stocked trout are over the limit where I live.
@@NikolasMarshall I’m not sure…
