@@ErikKSwanson- it is one of the ugliest guns you ever saw. Brass buttplate survived and "New=Jersey" and the rack/slot numbers are fresh and clear. It is depicted in a Williamsburg book called "Material Culture." This was a 1755 Wilson contract fusil. I also have a 1757 Wilson New Jersey contract fusil. Possibly confiscated by GW at Trenton

And they Pointed out how both Sides, would fully Encourage the Practice of Scalping, by way of Thier, Indian Allies. This Method of Scalping, during the Raids. This would then, Allow them too present the Scalp Locks, for Presents n Annuities given by the Two Colonial Powers. In Exchange for the Deeds these Indian Auxiliaries, Accomplished for the Forces & Officer's, they Fought For. Before the French & the British started the Practice. IT is Said, that it was the Spanish,& Portuguese, plus other Cultures. In many Different Places as well. An they say man is a Nonviolent Race Basically. Well that's BS. If you ask Me.
So, its true the america land actualy is own by the indians? The british coming and took this land away from them? And put new rules and law without indian agreement. How dare british/french sign these land as their new one...
Could muskets be used while raining..? It's always baffled me how armies with such weren't fought while raining; and for the natives to not realise this is questionable..
@@ErikKSwanson ..that's what i thought and have come to learn, yet we've no story or tales of natives attacking musketeers as an advantage during wet weather; I'm sure they've must've known this dilemma.. 🤝

There were certainly a lot of brutal acts on all sides during the war. And many violent, atrocious acts committed in wars right up to the present day

Muskets really don’t do well with moisture.
