This is helping me so much right now thank you. I'm currently trying to learn ASL on my own because getting lessons would be to expensive for us and also I just thought it would be nice to have a third language that's easier than studying a book and all the crazy workbooks. You make slow and easy to understand while some others are going too fast without explaining anything. Also, I'm so glad that I found your channel, I literally just started watching today.🤟
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I appreciate it. I remember what it was like to be a student and how a simple explanation can go a long way. I’m happy to know that my style of teaching is working. 😊
My son is 5, on the spectrum and nonverbal. While I’ve made it thus far w/o truly learning asl, its about time to fully commit. Instant sub. Thank you for all your help
Thank you for the refresher. I haven't used asl in years since Mt son gpt hearing aids a few years ago and the truth is if you don't use it you lose it.
@ASLLOVE Funny story: after my first year learning ASL, I began watching the translator at a church. After the sermon, I chatted with the pastor. He asked me how I thought his current translator did. I said bluntly, "Based on what I saw, your deaf attendees have never heard a single sermon you've said." 😆
Sweet stuff, thank you once again for taking the time to teach us, I make sure I tap in to some class time daily, even if it’s a repeat video to make sure I get the information down. 🤟🏽
Keep up the good work. Im quite an amatuer when it comes to sign but your videos are the only ones Ive found that help me learn. Im quite visual so I need the video as pictures alone arent enough. Thank you so much.
Could you please repeat what it is that you are signing after you have shown it? I just started watching you tonight, but there have been a few videos where I have had to go back after you have shown the sign because I missed or forgot what it was supposed to mean. Thank you for posting these.
Hi and thanks for watching! I can understand the need for repetition (watching a few times is good too). In these recent videos I have voiced less to allow the focus to be on the sign. Moving forward, I can add more repetition.
Thanks im learning more and more thanks for the conversation starters they have been helping me but I have to practice which is why i rewatch your videos keep it up I can’t wait to see more how do you do like im confused or like do you want to hangout sometime or like how was your day going
@@ASLLOVE Yes, I was thinking it might eventually replace ASL interpreters, but it's always nice to have a human element. I suppose we could consider how AI will affect ASL in school, workplace, and other settings.

Thank you for watching and for taking the time to learn. It’s a commitment but a little every day and it will start to get easier.
My job hired a deaf man and I wanted to brush up on my sign so I could speak to him
Thank you so much
Thank you for watching. Being able to communicate at work will be a huge help.
Really helpful
Thank you!

@@megandopson8173 It’s so true, you lose it quickly. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to review and renew.
Dana is a gifted teacher.

My doppelgänger? 🧐
Hello again. Do you think AI is going to have any effect on learning ASL over the next few years?
Hi there. How do you mean exactly? Maybe via online instruction?
@@ASLLOVE Yes, I was thinking it might eventually replace ASL interpreters, but it's always nice to have a human element. I suppose we could consider how AI will affect ASL in school, workplace, and other settings.
Understand is like a lightbulb coming on?
