when i saw the title i was thinking that by the rule of "never touching the ball" they would count one rule as being that golds cant get "goals" for saves/challenges that are within a certain range of their own goal, and judging by how they didnt, it almost seemed pretty true that whenever it wasnt a 3man defense crew sitting in the goal, they never really touched the ball

@@SuperAdam2468 to be fair that goes against the initial idea of the match. The idea was "if golds play vs pros would they even touch the ball?", that implies that the golds should play as if it was a standard game, and not just a game of trying to touch the ball in all situations. They completely neglected all form of defense and tactics because of it, and it made the entire game kinda pointless. Yes of course a team of total ball chasers will get touches, but a similar team that plays to win by classic terms would probably get a lot fewer touches, if any. If done properly, the golds should not have been told the win condition beforehand, because it greatly biased their playstyle towards something very unnatural and counterintuitive.
Also, I think if a touch leads to an own goal it shouldn't count to their win. Only if it's a full save.

On a serious note, I agree that the Gold league players shouldn't have been told their "score" condition. To be told your condition and be made to play a completely different way than normal by it ruins the point of experiments like these.

@@julianvukic3242 Yes, I expected more from golds, because frankly people underestimate golds a lot, and aerials are nothing new in gold territory, so in this video, the golds' aerials surprised me.
@@julianvukic3242 The golds can go for aerials only when the game speed is slow enough for them. When playing vs pros, the ball is already gone when the gold player starts thinking they should jump.
When you face that kind of insane players, a gold who certainly could go for an easy aerial in a normal match, is not quick enough to reach an aerial before the pro does. Playing against very good people always make you look worse than you really are

Golds getting accused of ball-chasing , but I notice they are playing a pretty reasonable rotation and are not ball chasing. Their touches are almost all defensive. Meanwhile, the pros are double-committing pretty significantly during the last two minutes. Just sticking up for my golden brethren. It would be a lot of fun to try something like this.

I mean this is really the only way to make a gold feel good about themselves
A few suggestions: This gold team was obviously greatly influenced by knowing their win condition which made them all total ball chasers regardless of the situation. I think a better condition was if they actually played to win by classical rules without knowing the true win condition. This way, they would play traditionally and think more about defense and positioning, rather than just chucking themselves at the ball every opportunity they have. That was also the philosophy behind the original statement of golds not even touching, that statement considers golds in a classic matchup, not just a game of ball chase.
Secondly, I think that a touch that still leads to a goal for the Pros should not count as a goal for the Golds. If it's a full save, then yes. But if the ball still finds its way to their net, them touching should not be rewarded a point. Otherwise they can just camp the goal (as they often did), and easily maintain balance/lead even when the pros score it's a 90% chance that the golds also get a score out of it anyways.

@@LZYDOG Of course golds ball chase more than anyone would like, I'm not debating that xD But still, this was an extreme of that, they were hardly even ballchasing, they were just trying to touch it regardless of what would happen after that, because every touch means a goal in their situation. At least in regular games they'd think about where they want to take the ball after they hopefully chase and catch the ball lol. All I'm saying is that this is a significant difference that changed the showmatch from what the initial point was; that in a normal game with normal objectives, the gold players would not get the ball more than the pros would score - which I still believe is true.

I also felt it highly impacted their gameplay, they stayed mostly defensive, as they knew they didn have to score real goals, and they can also get scored on a lot as long as they can touch the ball at least 2 times ONCE before getting scored on, then they have to touch it once / getting scored on.
