Actually I sampled from two other video games also.
One is Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. (It's the horns.)
The other is Donkey Kong Country. (Drums near the middle.)

This song reminds me of this one time when I was like 12 years old; I was sitting in the den area in my parents house where we had the TV and 3 of the 4 walls were lined with windows, and the sun was shining through so brightly I could barley see what was on the TV. I stood up frustrated with the obscene amount of glare, and as I was winding up my purple GameCube controller, I felt like this super Mario spirit essence within me kind of tell me that real adventures lie in the brightness of the day, and that’s where the shine sprites, stars, and 1-ups are. It’s like super Mario energy is within us all to go get the princess, or the shine, or the coins we want.
