I believe the performance of every single member of the main cast of this show is capable of winning an Emmy, but personally I would give one to OT Fagbenle if you familiar with his work he is basically showing chameleon level range here, however if anyone would probably get nominated it would probably be Ruth Negga ( What a last name by the way) and Jake Gyllenhaal but Ruth has a higher win potential. Great performances all round, any thoughts?

Barbara should leave Rusty doe. Like she is making things worse by cheating and emotionally cheating at that. She as well is just as delusional as Rusty. How does she really think things will go back to normal after all the things Rusty has done but I digress.

lol i understand 100 percent what you’re saying but it’s also like some women will do anything but leave! She will cheat back to try and get even. Co-dependence. She was 20 when they met and was pregnant 6 months later. Also when people immediately after infidelity they usually return. It's very hard to just up and leave with no financial plan. Divorces take a while. But If the series plays out like the book/movie then it's guilt that keeps her there.

The show wants us to believe that maybe Tommy did it. However, imo Barbara is way too calm about this entire ordeal. You really think Barbara didn't know that the affair started up again..think again. Why did Rusty say to his wife in the previous ep that she plays some part in this ... Maybe he is protecting her ...because Barbara was also there that night.. Rusty is not innocent at all

  • @ayandey137

The way she was murdered needs anger but in a very articulated way.
Tommy, well is he that articulated?
Rusty and Nico seem the type of people that can do something like this. But they can't, right?
One weird theory, It was kyle who bludgeoned her to death, and then Rusty came back and saw it (kyle still present) and covered up the murder, and since he was drunk he can't recollect those memories

It's Raymond! have a feeling that the second sperm sample from the Bunny Davis case is Raymond's. It's possible since she was a prostitute that Raymond was the customer before Liam Reynolds. Carolyn sees this in the file and hides it, later confronting Raymond with that evidence. If that gets out it seriously jeopardizes his reelection . We've gotten to know Carolyn's character and I wouldn't put it past her to hold that over Raymond's head for promotion. So he has to take out the only person that could expose him. It's possible he knew about the affair and it was an easy way for all the evidence to point towards Rusty, but it would never be conclusive enough to convict him.

Rusty is so outrageous and quite insane. He is doing too much at this point. The whole Bryan thing can be a little far fetched but like Mya said “that is not our case”. Rusty is trying so hard to get a fall guy instead of letting the ppl he HIRED to represent him to work. It’s so frustrating seeing how self centered and careless he is. Personally, it’s pissing me off 😭😭😭. Now I can see how Tommy can be a suspect as well but my eyes are on possibly Barbara or even the son.

I have read a lot of speculation about Raymond but I can't see Carolyn being attracted to him as a lover. Certainly not as compared to her attraction to Rusty, who is closer to her in age, stage and physicality. I definitely see Tommy as having the potential to think he had a chance with her and I do believe that he was obsessed with her and extremely jealous of Rusty in more ways than just his relationship with Carolyn. He wants to replace Rusty, romantically and professionally. He has both the ambition and the drive but he is paranoid and has become unhinged over this case. Whether or not it is because he is the killer or was involved in her murder. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was the driving force somehow.

Why was Tommy looking at that evidence of Carolyn like he was bout to freaky in the office? I don’t really care for the affair with Barbar n the bartender it’s dragged out now! Thoughts on this episode:
    1. The show's emphasis on Barbara suggests a deeper exploration of Rusty & Barbara's marriage(most likely the demise of their relationship). Revelations during the trial will strain their marriage further, potentially offering motives or connections to Carolyn's murder.
    2. Tommy's undeniable past with Carolyn and his desire for acceptance and power raise suspicions. They have yet to introduce Tommy's personal life. I think the show's lack of focus on his personal life may change during the trial, revealing his possible involvement in Carolyn's murder.
    3. Convincing the audience that the daughter committed the murder would be challenging, given the physical strength required and the need for compelling motives. However, the show is involving the son, Kyle, more, suggesting his potential role in the trial's twists and turns. The tempering of the bicycle is going to cause some fallout once Tommy finds out. They probably won't make Tommy the murderer, just a character to cause additional drama during the trial.
    4. By referring to Carolyn's residence as an "apartment" and featuring her living in one, the show likely intends to introduce neighbors as potential sources of information that could either strengthen or weaken the prosecutor's case. They could have made her live in a house/townhouse. Or just have the dialogs written so that the characters refer to her place of living as "Carolyn's place". But they say "apartment" every single time. We are 100% going to see Tommy bring in neighbors as witnesses (and possibly backfire?).
