For some reason I don't mind when soft cover books get chunky since they sort of curve around the chunk 😂 I dislike it more in hard cover books that get an alligator mouth. idk why one bothers me more than the other lol
Omg yes the alligator mouth is such a good analogy! Lol we will see how chunky she gets, as long as my cover can close then I’ll be fine! Thanks for being here ❤️
I'm so late to the party but I love the jewelry items you'd picked for yourself! I'm one of those "treat yourself" kinda gals - I particularly loved that bracelet you chose. I'm cracking up at the Uno Go! pack because I was just at my local Dollar Tree an hour ago and saw the SAME CARD PACK and told myself "No Mel, THIS you DONT' need" 😂 I've stopped using my A6 over the past couple of months; life's just been so busy and I've only just started daily planning again - even then, I'm using an undated planner in case I skip a day. I still keep looking at the Cousin but, meh, can't quite make the leap. One of these days my comment will say I GOT THE COUSIN! But today is not that day. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend, Tori!
Omg SO funny that you also considered the Uno pack 😭😭 I love mine haha I definitely recommend! Life definitely can cause so many planner changes and that’s okay! I’m going through my own weird little feelings with all my books so I’m right there with you 😭💕 hope you have a great weekend!!
I came to mention Aura Estelle B6 as well. Weekly horizontal with dailies. They were on sale so I have one on the way. It's my perfect size and I don't like vertical weeklies. I wanted to try the Paper Tess Design, but the shipping was almost as much as the planner. Enjoyed your flip!!!
I also had the same issue with the new TR paper when I was still using my Cousin - pens that had never even ghosted before were suddenly bleeding through! So bizarre!
@@torionpaper I have! I’ve not started using it yet as I want to finish the memo book I used as a stopgap first. But the paper feels amazing! So hyped to get started in it!
Just a note, since you mentioned the B6 size…I love love love the Jibun Techo Days B6 slim. I’ve modified how I use the days and idk if you would like it, but it’s a great size and I love the paper
I’ve heard so many great things about this planner! I’m so glad you like it ❤️ i prefer the B6 over the slim but I’ll definitely check it out! Thanks for being here 😊
Hi Tori, I just wanted to share that I love your videos on the Hobonichi planners. Jo referred to your channel and as it is a coninsidence we both are from 6th of April 1997 (this as I have b-day twins at work and private life but not from the same birth year as me). For my new job in cybersecurity I'm in the market for a planner but I got overwhelmed by the Hobonichi options and I'm not sure what I want in my planner (as long as it isn't indexed like a western-European agenda as that limits me too much in setup and layout). My planner ideally would have stencils for weekly planning, bullet notes/journals and agenda and so far I have the: Travellers company passport shaped planner, Kokuyo Jibun Techo and Hobonichi on my shortlist. Which one would you take if my situation was yours?
Ooo birthday twins that’s so fun!! Hmm what size are you thinking? Something with a lot of writing space or something a little smaller? I’ve never tried travelers or the Jibun techo but they are super popular! I like hobonchi because I am really picky about fonts and layout but if that’s not something that bothers you maybe start with the Jibun since it is the most affordable option and see what you like/don’t like and go from there??
@@torionpaper At the moment I am experimenting with a A6 Midori notebook for sensitive info logs and small work journalling. I mainly had A5 notebooks and agendas in the past so I suppose either of those would work. It’s a shame my contract started halfway through the month otherwise I would have gone Hobonichi with no hesitation. They are more widely available at Dutch resellers than the Jibun Techo (still found 2 suppliers tho). I’ll let the 2,5 weeks paycheck decide if it’s gonna be the Jibun Techo or Hobonichi (Travellers I’ll get later this year to try out, my local store Appelboom has a lot of opinions regarding them and I always enjoy a 15% discount per reviewing my earlier orders). Thankyou for giving your point of view and opinion. Cheers from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
@@yoshi555king i definitely love Hobonichi and will always recommend them, but I know the price isn’t always the affordable for everyone. You’ll definitely have to let me know how it goes and which one you end up getting! I hope you have a great week!
@@torionpaper So far the local suppliers are out of Jibuns and hobonichi refills so I just put through my order at Appelboom with Travellers notebook and making the violet blackberry collection complete
Thank u! I'm experiencing the same thing with the new tomoe river paper and I was wondering if I was hallucinating bc nobody else seems to be mentioning it. I use fine and extra fine fountain pens so if it's almost bleeding thru for me, I'm wondering what people who use medium nibs do. Was wondering if I shld change planners next year even tho I've been using hobonichi for years now
Oh, same here!!! I used fountain pens F and EF nibs and I got not only ghosting but also bleeding. Same with GEL PENS. 😂Yep, gel pens!! Bled on the next 2 pages, it never happened to me before. Some people say it is because of hand oils or cream but it is not my case. And I don't press the pens too hard when I write. I don't know what it is but the Sanzen feels so cheap, scratchy, easily damaged and poorly made, yet so expensive! The Sanzen wrinkled with a soft eraser. And got damaged (torn) while LIGHTLY erasing Frixion, hello?! Not worth the cost (at least for me!). I gave up using my Hobonichi this year, I was not enjoying at all... And no I am not buying another bunch of pens to try, not again! Haha! I feel so bad, guilty, and regretted so much buying it, it was so expensive and I am not using it... haha! But I am glad to hear I am not the only one experiencing issues with that paper 😅 ❤🩹
Oh dont feel guilty! How were we supposed to know? I've been using the Weeks until this year, when I decided to try an a6 hon instead. Same thing - I was like...is the gsm different, why does it seem to wrinkle more when I erase things than before? Oh well...I say repurpose! If ur not using it as a planner, use it as an ink swatching notebook or something. That can be fun and useful too!
I use a medium nib for most of my pens and it’s definitely hit or miss on some pages but in general the writing seems to be ghosting/bleeding way more than previous. I still love the feel/look of the paper and would be interested to know if other brands using the Tomoe paper are experiencing the same things or if this is just a hobonichi thing!
Thank you for sharing! I got my first hobinichi this spring in A6 and its the smallest planner ive ever used. Do you use acrylic paint in yours or something else?

Ahh yes I could definitely see the shipping costs as a barrier for some people which stinks. Thank you for this suggestion! 🩷
Perfect time to get into poetry! It's national poetry month :)
Loved this flip through, your book looks great!
Ooo I didn’t know this, that’s so cool! Thank you for being here ❤️
I love your daily art work, it’s beautiful 😍 I have also found my fountain pen ink shadowing and almost bleeding through on the new sansen paper 🫤
