1:09:00 I just looked it up and turns out Mentos are from The Netherlands! Never knew that, so I guess you're not far off with how European the commercials look, lol
I was born in '81, and I have to say I was always a nintendo fan boy back then, and a big part of it was that Sega commercials ALWAYS consisted of throwing shade at nintendo. Nintendo commercials were usually "hey, look at how awesome our game is" but Sega was always "Umm....Nintendo sucks!"
Here's a fun fact, since you guys got me thinking about little Ceasars pizza... Little Ceasars is the second highest selling pizza distributor in the USA. Wanna know who's the first? Get ready: it's Cosco, no joke.
Your life is long bud. Take this time to yourself to work on self improvement. Go out for a run tonight. Have a cold beer or two after, and watch some more jaboody. And remember, unfollow her and don’t check her Instagram anymore! You’ll be tempted, but take it from me, you’ll have a healthier headspace when you fully distance yourself. Let’s go Scott! @@dartheria7914 have you had any corrective surgery for it? I’m relatively new to this and trying to decide to get the discs fused or not. I’ve heard it can either go great or cause problems with discs below the affected area.
That Bandu commercial unlocked a bunch of memories for me. I’d totally forgotten about it, but my family had that game when I was very little and I used all the wooden pieces with my blocks 😂 I don’t think I ever actually played the game lol
Wait why haven't anyone tried using a submarine in the Bermuda triangle? At least you won't worry about sinking but I guess the electrical interference and navigation would mess up
56:08 I believe it was from a 90’s vehicle safety bill since there were a lot of accidents and they thought bubbly cars would keep more people alive in front bumper pedestrian collisions.
You guys should check out a game called katamari damancy, it’s a crazy Japanese game where you are this little thing and you roll up stuff into a ball that progressively gets bigger as you roll up more stuff. You start with like erasers, thumb tacks, gum and eventually you roll up people, cars, buildings, states, entire continent’s and eventually stars
Not only was that interior of that Gremlin in the Levi’s ad denim, it was Levi’s denim. It was a special edition package that AMC offered. It’s nice to see Levi’s doing a little callback like that.
I have been going THROUGH it lately. Had three foot surgeries and have to roll my fat ass everywhere in a wheelchair. I’m crashing at my in-Laws’ place because my house is being renovated and when one problem’s fixed, another pops up. But this video has made everything better. I haven’t laughed this hard since ever. Thank you guys! 😂😂😂
I don’t know about turning off the TV, but “M.A.S.H.” reruns absolutely WERE the signal to change the channel for me. KRXI Fox 11, my local affiliate ran them right after the weekday Fox Kids lineup. As soon as I heard “Suicide Is Painless” playing, I switched it to Nickelodeon, Disney, or Cartoon Network.
When i was young my mom took me to my best friend's house. He was a preacher's son. His mom told us if we digged long enough we would end up in China. A preacher's wife lied to us to keep us busy?! We used plastic beach shovels for 3 hours 🤦♂️🤣😂
When little Caesars had the square pizzas only..those were sooo good.we used to sjateboard all the way there to get a couple pizzas before we hit the bus to the skate park..those were the days..
That pizza math @12 in, no doubt. There was a fast food chain that came up with a 1/3 burger, but it failed horribly, because the general public thought that was less than a 1/4 lb burger. Add to that on April 1 in 1998, Burger King offered a left handed burger, and were hammered by customers demanding it, and you will know people is stoopid.
I just discovered you and Los Santos this past year. Any chance you would sell the Los Santos t shirts again? Either way, I also want to thank you for making me laugh so much through a really rough year.
Yeah, I know about Cal Worthington. I found an old hat from his Ford dealership at a thrift store in my hometown in western Nevada. I had no idea who he was, I just liked it because I like cars and it was clearly old but in nice shape. I showed it to my mom (who is from Long Beach), and she clued me in. I ended up giving it to my uncle, since he’s more of a Ford guy than I am and still lives in the area.
The Altima had the champagne glasses on the hood because they were doing a callback to the very first Lexus ad. In that one, they put the car on a dyno, stacked a pyramid of champagne glasses on the hood and gunned the engine to demonstrate that it ran so smoothly at 145 MPH that it wouldn’t spill a drop. They really did it to boot, it wasn’t movie magic. Anyway, what the Altima ad is trying to say is that Nissan can do the same thing at a fraction of the cost, but you might have noticed that the camera cut away from the speedometer before it reached 145. Even if it could do it at the same speed, it comes off as somewhat hypocritical considering Nissan had already launched Infiniti by this point.
That Camry (the XV10) was the first one designed specifically for export markets. Up to that point, they sold the same one everywhere, but they decided to make one that was a little bigger for countries where people tended to be a little bigger. That generation actually was sold in Japan though, under the name Scepter. Eventually, the bigger Camry proved to be more popular even in its home country, and the smaller one was discontinued.
13:45 Fun fact: The way pizza commercials do this effect is by mixing the cheese with Elmer’s glue.
a fellow connoisseur of the skooma
This is peak Jaboody content, keep 'em comin' boys!
01:46:46 you guys watching the station sign-on was gold.
1:02:10 For anyone else that had a nostalgia bomb from this small riff that justin vocalized, the song is: 96 Quite Bitter Beings - CKY
40:58 Always Cracks me up! You tell em' Dee-Dee!
8:30 bandu is sebastian from the little mermaid
also, remember when commercials had 2 parters?! like that was a thing for a bit in the mid 90s?!
1:46:10 I'm surprised the boys didn't start singing tenacious D
Love how the kid in the Eggo waffle commercial turns invisible and then loudly says "hi dad!" as he steals the waffle. Not real stealthy there, hoss.
1:09:00 I just looked it up and turns out Mentos are from The Netherlands! Never knew that, so I guess you're not far off with how European the commercials look, lol
Dudes those 40V batteries could power some serious Tonka Trucks around my yard.

PPCC is here in Colorado Springs. That's funny. Haha
Those honey flavored chex are good!
You should look up the "Psychic Friends Network", they were sued for fraud, I bet they never saw that coming.
I love these vintage commercial hangs with the boys. Makes me wonder what 2010’s and 2020’s commercial reaction videos will look like!

Going through a tough break up so I needed this today, thanks Jaboody!
For real I’ve got some herniated discs in my neck and the only time the pain fades into the background is when I’m watching these guys

in a holding cell, its just people who are bored usually lol. but there is always that one guy who starts shit lol.
I had a friend that worked at Chi-Chi's in the early 00's. The fried icecream is just a pre-baked dome of angelfood cake over a scoop of icecream.

The guy singing the Bandu song sounds an awful lot like the guy who sang "Under the Sea" from Little Mermaid.

That kid moonwalkin was Joe Burrow

I think they have played that before a year or so ago.

Sears killed Kmart, not Walmart, I had to work there for a few months, and quickly learned the meaning of retail hell as a result.
Replace the pizza with whiskey and cigars then you got some of your audience
I'm a 90s kid I seen all of these commercials
I know I'm late to this but I have to say Sega CD did have one awesome game, Sega CD had the best version of Eternal champions
