Skull and Bones was legitimately snubbed from winning one of these awards considering it's an even bigger failure than Concord. Lost more money, longer dev time, somehow even more confusing gameplay logic considering the game people wanted was literally in another game before it, and with more government bodies pissed off.

I'm just gonna skip the entire show, and watch a recap of the new game announcements/trailers the next day.
The DLC makes sense imo, seeing as it sold very well and had far more content than most “full games” But to each their own, I agree with everything else mentioned though, I was extremely disappointed with last years “sports” category too.
Racing IS a sport, not the same kind of sport as football or basketball, but it still is one. No sports are the same. The 5 games in 4 different categories are all excellent in those categories; I agree with the dlc part, that one is just stupid. Proves we need a dlc category!

At this point, I'm just watching to see if things do go wrong. That's when the Game Awards is at its peak. Usually at the Game Awards, they only believe in two flavors of video game to advertise: Modern Anime-style, and AAA Realism. They stopped believing in Scrimblo Bimblo-types, unless their name is Crash Bandicoot. That's gonna backfire on them eventually.
At least half of the nominations for 2024 were a joke. It was a pretty weak year for video gaming. I don't know why these games awards have any legitimacy.
