The history and beautiful shrine of the founder of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Durrani, was very impressive👌. Kandahar is historically a city of people who produced brave revolutionary leaders. Much love to Afghan brothers. From pakistan🇵🇰🇵🇰🇦🇫🇦🇫
I’ve watched many travel vloggers travel through Afghanistan but this series is the best no doubt. Carrie does an amazing job of showcasing Afghan culture, the food, the architecture and the history. It’s heartwarming to see the respect she shows the Afghan people after all they have suffered as a result of wars and the general disregard and aversion by the international community. InshaAllah she only meets kind souls like hers on her travels.
Hi Carrie! Using miswaak was the way of Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him and muslims still follow it today. We usually have it beside our regular toothbrushes in the bathroom. Miswaak has great health benefits too although we use it for the love of our Prophet mainly.
This is the second of your videos I have watched and I would definitely come to Afghanistan after seeing this. Everyone seemed so friendly and relaxed. I think I would actually feel much safer there than in many other countries. I have never travelled internationally and come from a western country, so I can't say that Afghanistan was on my list of travel destinations before - but now it is definitely on my bucket list.
Hi Carrie your videos make me homesick, I am in Germany and whenever I see the videos my eyes get watery somehow. Your work is truely admirable. You have to keep it up and I did not skip the adds on your videos.
sister carrie I want to tell you that , the most conservative muslim men always treats the women with respect and dignity . because the fear the law of Allah the most. although non muslims doesn't know about this that a conservative muslim man never hit or cusses a women and they don't look women with bad intention (opposite to how the media world portrays them), through my very own experience I am tellling u
Hi Carrie. The 'toothbrushes' that you saw in the beginning actually are called "miswak", and these are commonly found in Muslim majority countries, both due to their cheapness but effectiveness and their religious significance. They're made from a tree commonly called the "toothbrush tree" (salvadora persica), which contains antibacterial chemical compositions.
@@carriepatsalis Thank You for showing Afghanistan to the Afghan generation living outside Afghanistan. I have never been to Afghanistan. Thank you very much. My forefathers were from Kandahar. I am also the direct descendant of Ahmad Shah Durrani.
Welcome to Afghanistan, that meat is not beef. it's veel. Your translator probably forgot the word veel it must have been easy for him to say beef. You mentioned prophet Muhammad pbuh wow thats so lovely keep it up Turkman and Uzbek foods are so delicious that you can't hold yourself back. Anyway, thanks you for opening the gateway for others by showing tourists how easy and simple it is to visit Afghanistan. May God bless you Ameen
This is Miswak, which in Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him. He taught us more than 1400 years ago. And Muslims from that time use it 5 times a day before prayer when getting clean for prayer. ALHAMDULILLAH.
I am an Afghan and never been to Afghanistan but when I watch your videos I feel like I am in my motherland Afghanistan. I really enjoy your videos,, keep making the great videos. Best wishes..
Really appreciated this experience, especially respecting Islamic structure and it's nice heritage and demonstrating Ptophet Muhammad ( PBUH ) Cloack in Kandahar city.
It's sad that the Taliban still keep Afghan women marginalized. If they can treat a foreign lady with respect and really equally then what is the difficulty in extending that to their wives and daughters? More foreign ladies visiting maybe with time will change things -- I think everyone including probably most Afghans can agree this will be when Afghanistan can really open up. Prayers, Prayers.
Afghans are some of the most conservative Muslims in the world alongside countries like Saudi Arabia. I think in time they will loosen up but it’s important to understand why they are the way they are. I think they are fearful of becoming liberal because that brings its own social evils as a byproduct which are prohibited in Islam. For example, no man in their right mind would catcall an Afghan woman just because of the fear of consequences. The Afghan men would like to keep it that way lol. Dubai is a prime example of what can happen when a conservative society opens up. I don’t know if you’re aware but Dubai is currently one of the centres of s*x trafficking in the world. A lot of Muslims see that and would rather live with fewer “freedoms” but keep the values they hold dear to their hearts like family and the safety of their women from bad men/gangs. In the nearly 2bn Muslims, we face these challenges internally as well and are constantly trying to draw a line for ourselves; that’s the case for Muslims living in the West too.
Thanks for the lecture on us. You are totally wrong. Afghanistan has fundamentalists , liberals , seculars , socialists and center ideology loving ppl. Don't paint us with one color. I am an afghan and I am a socialist.
