My biggest problem is that a slight surplus and a slight deficit only seems to be a range of 800 calories, based on a maintenance calculation that is already inherently imprecise with the added complications that even slight variations in diet and even walking on any given day can slingshot you over or under such a fuzzy target. It’s exhausting to try and determine any of this.
Not sure that's what I want. I've been thin my whole life and I like being that way, it's really a part of my identity. But I do want to build muscle, to be atractive, being muscular thin. If bulking is more about becoming big with not only the muscles but also the fat, that's not something I want. I like being skinny, I just need some more muscles mass
I'm at 23% but still want to put on some muscle first. Bit cause getting into food tracking is easer with more calories and building the habits and disciplined for when I cut back
I have to disagree with giving the dirty bulk such a bad rep and telling people to never go above 500 calories surplus, there are skinny folks with extremely fast metabolisms who cant put on weight if their life depended on it and on top of that have an extremely small apetitie, and we are more than you would think. I got out of it by eating as much s humanly possible. I never gained over 15% body fat and it was the best thing I have ever done. NOTE: While I am saying eat as many calories as you can. I am still saying they should be "healthy foods", I am just saying that the upper limit on caloric surplus for it to be considered good for you, its complete and outer bullshit
But if you have a fast metabolism you can just add more calories in until you see that you're gaining weight, just keep it in a slight surplus. If you eat more food it doesn't equal more muscle. You will gain the same amount of muscle if you in a surplus of 500 or surplus of 2000. It's just extra fat you'll have to lose later on. That's why you want to be in a surplus of 200-300, that way you're gaining minimal fat and still putting on muscle.
@@steviejrr I know and u are 100% right unfortunately the margin of error is wayy to big to only do 200-300 surplus, u have no idea how much your maintenance level fluctuates day to day so to be on the safe side I aim for 500 minimum. @@Lowkeiii Haha yes I've seen it a lot of times before. I've been one of those persons before too and there's a high chance you'll be as well. So what will you do to prevent that from happening? Give yourself a tangible goal. Like setting reminders in your calendar
@@Melvin420x12 thanks for the tip
@@Lowkeiii No problem! So, how are you going to prevent failing?
It depends
Just started my first bulk after a cut, im doing it clean lessgo
How’s it going?
Amazing
You can progressive overload without increasing volume, you simply increase intensity/more weight with same volume.
Thank you
My biggest problem is that a slight surplus and a slight deficit only seems to be a range of 800 calories, based on a maintenance calculation that is already inherently imprecise with the added complications that even slight variations in diet and even walking on any given day can slingshot you over or under such a fuzzy target. It’s exhausting to try and determine any of this.
That’s my secret. I’m always bulking.
The permabulk from birth till where you're at rn, is, and has always been, the best 😮💨! 😆
helpful thx
Not sure that's what I want. I've been thin my whole life and I like being that way, it's really a part of my identity. But I do want to build muscle, to be atractive, being muscular thin. If bulking is more about becoming big with not only the muscles but also the fat, that's not something I want. I like being skinny, I just need some more muscles mass
ORRRRRR in my case you’ve done all of these things are your still skinny and your metabolism reigns supreme
I'm at 23% but still want to put on some muscle first. Bit cause getting into food tracking is easer with more calories and building the habits and disciplined for when I cut back
I’m cut , doing the bulking process right now , slowly increasing my protein & calorie intake , I must say It’s uncomfortable but I want my dream body
Bulking this summer

Me watching this with a 20% bodyfat% already :
HMMMM
What about what to eat when bulking?
Bros cut is gonna go insane
Cause if I aim for 300 then I am going to be cutting some days by accident where I moved less than normal. I would rather risk gaining a lil fat and ensure weight gain. Its been working for me for 2 years and I have a reasonable 15bf
@@enriquesuarez7113 That's why I track steps, my every day is the same except for weekends that's where I usually eat a little less. as long as the scale is saying I'm gaining a little weight, it means I'm alright.
@@steviejrr I admire ur effort, but its not just uncertainty in your maintenance, also in ur food, nutrition facts are not 100% accurate. Also its impossible to track ur weight every day, cause hydration levels fluctuate, which impact ur weight. If gaining weight fast isn’t super important to you, then what ur doing is best, but if u wanna gain weight fast id increase the surplus aim to at least 400, but do what works for u, I think ur prob doing great
@@enriquesuarez7113 That's true, I tend to drink the same amount of water every day. Exactly 4.5litres is my goal. I don't wanna gain weight fast, I hate cutting so if I can gain as little fat as possible I'm happy.
looking for tips for a 6ft2 male looking to gain 10kg of body weight while having most of the mass gained being muscle.

Can you do a video on calisthenics body
Whoever listens to this has never reached a respectable bodyweight. Just eat whatever you can get and then top it of with some shakes because you will never eat enough.
I was unable to bulk past 78kg mark, so I gave up. And now am cutting, to get rid of my baby fat on my face, to try looking better in the summer.
olive oil, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, whole eggs, naans, honey, whole milk
there’s plenty of ways to get more calories in brother
Bulking in summer>>>>
DIRTY BULK OR BUST!!
"increase volume overtime" is a b.s. no need for that one. 10-20 Sets per muscle group per week is what we needed. We can stick to that range forever.
Focus on progressive overload.
I’ve been bulking my whole life, time for a cut
help! As a beginner who’s 20% bf which year = more gains (6m low deficit losing 0.33kg per week+6m lean bulk) or (3m higher deficit losing 0.66kg per week+9m lean bulk)

I am currently 15, 80kg BW and my bodyfat is at about 12%, I want to build more muscle, and I am willing to go on a cut after the bulk? Should I go for it?
You have to bulk until the weighing balance says full
My bmi is 19.7 sr and iam 14 yo ive been bulking since cutting
if u train to failure, u eat til failure.
Can u explain what is harder to build muscle being skinny or fat , and thank u for the work loving what u doing
It's probably harder the faster your metabolism is.
I bulk weekend, birthdays and holidays, and cut weekdays, lazy sundays and when My girlfriends mom finds a New healthy recipe 😆 been between 60-75 kilos the last 5 years i have been doing so and I am extremely happy with how My body has improved 😄 its All about balance, no? 😂
