@TroubadorPoet SPOILER FOR CS4 PROLOGUE that moment when claire sees millium's message with the photo almost made me cry god i love claire, she's both so stubborn and stupid in following osborne, but also deeply torn due to her feelings for -rean- her loved ones
Yesterday I just finished Hajimari after a 100 hour gameplay and I loved it. I started playing Sky FC on December 2017 and after spending 900 combined hours in all 10 Trails games I can safely say it's one of my favorite games of all time. I actually feel weird and nostalgic being caught up with the series as of right now, but at least I can safely watch all the promo materials for the next game without being spoiled on the story.
And here I am, sitting 2 hours after finishing CS4 ad realizing that in Hajimari we have to say goodbye to most of them. It's like the end of the Sky 3rd, when I was sitting at the end, watching how characters saying goodbye to each other and just staring at monitor with feeling of satisfaction and sadness at the same time. Still, can't wait for this game to come out, and still ready to buy it twice, just to support Falcom and those games. Thanks for the video :D

Started watching your videos recently. I have played all 4 Cold Steel games, but didn't know about the older stories (Trails in the Sky etc) when I started. So happy that I will get that chance in the near future. Thank you so much for this info. I'm in the US and saw a teaser trailer for Reverie but had no idea what it was about. And I was confused about C since there was a C in the Cold Steel series.
Thanks for watching! I was fortunate to play Reverie last year, and I make a habit of reviewing the latest Trails games if I get the opportunity to play them in English before an official release. It may feel like a long wait for it's Western release, but it'll be gone before you know it.
Just bought hajimari from ebay, will play it with the English overlay as well, hope I don't miss out on anything as I am a non-Japanese speaker. Great job as always, love your videos!
Every time I think of getting into the Trails series, I discover yet another game that I need to play. I really wish Falcon would release the Sky trilogy for current consoles because that looks the most interesting to me.
While everybody is hyped for Hajimari, i'm still sitting here and waiting for the PC Release of Cs4 next year. The Ending of Cs3 surely did not make the wait easier for me. :D
me too the wait is so long for CS4 that I forgot 80% of the story of cs3 - cs1, but there are so many games to preoccupy me. I'm also gonna wait a week or two after release of the PC version for the difficulty mod made by the community, since I know cs4 is going to be too easy.
I'll just tell you (without spoiling anything of course) that it is 10000000000% worth the wait. 4 is incredibly well done and has made me want to restart the entire series over again for like the 4th time lol
Same man while everyone is waiting on hajimari I'm waiting on cs4 PC to mod all bosses to be playable as I'm biding my time doing it for cs2 and cs3 can't wait for it to release soon
I started with the PC version of Cold Steel on a whim which led me to buy the PC version of Cold Steel II which then led me to buy all the stuff necessary to get the English patch of Zero and AO which then led me to buy the PC versions of Sky 1-3 which then led me to replay the entire series once more before buying Cold Steel 3 on PC. That ending though, I couldn't wait and caved, bought the Cold Steel 1 -3 on PS4 and played through all of them once more so I had saves to use in the collectors edition for the PS4 for Cold Steel 4 and I'm currently waiting to get the PC version just to play through my Emma save on PC since in my own head canon she is the true choice for Rean (which IV solidified my opinion given just how vital her role has been since II) and I'll likely end up playing through Hajimari on PS4 with those saves while I wait for the PC version of that as well to truly end the Saga for me. So while I don't entirely understand your struggle, I REALLY want to know how Rean/Emma is handled and it's killing me. Easily spent over $800 on just this series and I'm kind of grateful everything was shut down so I had enough time to get all of this done before IV's release. I regret nothing.
Man you are so passionate with trails, I love it!!! Right now I am revisiting my Childhood which is the Cold Steel series, seeing Rean's conclusion makes me so emotional man, can't wait to play the game after IV.
I personally liked trails because they put alot of effort for NPC's dialog, and damn those short little novals are good, they give you little addings to the kiseki world of literature(ya, can't wait for a yaoi one, LOL) . I also think the cut scene is great improvement, just like the graphics for sen3. I've started the game and like the same route you say, actually, all my friends love it as to the same reasons you said. alittle thing in between chinese fans is that we joke the battle system after the sen series turned to "Crafts no Kiseki" because of how Arts have totally turned almost useless, and how the order or so of new tactic broke the balance of enjoying a hard-ass battle. I personally think the order system in a game like Ys would work nice, like boosting the morale in battle and it actually has an effect, I really don't know if it's a Turn-based issue or just made too powerful. Man, I miss that Green Onion head in 17:39 .
I had to come and rewatch this, with the game dropping in 8 weeks, and my anticipation through the roof. Your opinions have only stoked the fire. The next 8 weeks are going to be murder, if only that I don't have the new game and I haven't finished Azure yet....
Another great video! My favorite route was Rean's. And my favorite Episode was "Memories of a Fiery Gaze"(Rean episode) I think this was a must after CSIV. The C route was also phenomenal with amazing characters. Overall a really good game and I'm looking forward to the next Arc with the new engine/combat/characters. I think something will be revealed in december? on the Falcom Shareholder meeting.
I'm thinking it will be a Trails game for the shareholder meeting this December, just because they've come out and said they are working on it. I think YS will be the year after due to the 35th anniversary of the series in 2022.
Finally finished Cold Steel IV and can finally check this video out :D And thx for raising the hype bar once again. Didnt actually know there were translation spreadsheets like those for the games. Maybe ill try that out once I have a more stable internet
Give it a go if you sort your internet out, it's very easy to implement. Even if you can't figure it out alone, Zerofield have an embedded video to instruct you how to do it.
@@TheKisekiNut Thanks a lot for the tips ^^ Probably will order and try after xmas hassle settles down a bit. Got a new stable internet connection now so it runs Remote play nicely :)
I'm 80 hours into Cold Steel IV and I juts finished Act 1. I'm very excited for the next chapters and I'm glad I have something new to look forward to while waiting for the Calvard Arc.
Nice video great to get me hyped for the future will waiting for my cs4 limited edition (shipping is a pain especially in the UK) but yeah glad to hear good things about this game and one quick note on the combat changing I understand the uncertainty from the fans but I see it as a chance for the games to look and feel even more epic as I love real time combat but yeah great video looking forward to whenever the next is 😀
The problem is, I think ys fills that real time gameplay role just fine so if they do end up doing that with trials it MIGHT feel redundant. Until we get official news on the change, My opinion for it is worrisome. They might pull something like what atelier ryza did with its real time turn order which I’m not the biggest fan of.
My copy is on his way ! I'm glad to ear that it deliver :D I'm more hype for this than PS5 Demonsouls Remake... and I'm a souls fans since og DeS on PS3 lol Trails is definitely my no.1 game series now ;)
I just wanted to say I just spotted the Crossbell series on Steam! Maybe this is common knowledge but I had no idea. It's not out yet/translated but heeeey, for those of us who are playing on PC this is good good news!
Avoid reading my comment if you don't want to be spoiled. The game is fantastic. It's up there with Sen IV for sure. The character catalogue is insane, and you can play as freaking McBurn! The best route was Rean's IMO but loved the new cast, especially Nadia because she reminds me of Sharon. I've already beat this twice on nightmare and abyss and definitely going to play it for a third time once I get my PC issue sorted. I'm just going to finish off the remaining episodes now that the spreadsheet is complete. Credit to Kitsune and the Zerofield team for making this possible :). Overall, it's an 11/10 for me.
How is it playing with the Spreadsheet? Did you use the overlay or just the spreadsheet on a second screen? Is it easy to get the hang of combat without knowing Japanese?
@@atlow2543 If you have played Trails of Cold Steel 3 or 4 in English the entire UI is almost the same. What you actually need is to first learn the quartz and statuses kanji in order to know what you are using and protecting yourself from (unless you play in easy where you shouldn't really need to worry about it that much), but other than that is pretty manageable. I finished Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 in Japanese with the spreadsheet and I am currently in chapter 3 of Hajimari. Learning at least katakana helps a lot with the Art names. Just give it a go.
I was wondering if the same gripe from your CS4 video would return here (that being the very large cast and general equipment management) and honestly, I'm glad it did because that's something I've always found myself enjoying! Up to CS3 at least. I'm also stoked to hear how satisfying of a conclusion it is, and can't wait to experience it myself. I remember the ending of Sky 3rd really tugging at my heartstrings and I get the feeling Hajimari will have a very similar effect on me. I'm hanging in there for the PC release of CS4 but I do wonder if I'll be able to hang on long enough for the Hajimari localisation without just biting the bullet and getting into it with the overlay. It's great to hear you enjoyed it so much, being such a big fan of the series as you are. As always, keep up the great work!
I knew for a fact there would be some people who wouldn't care at all about my gripes, which is always great! :) Hajimari is definitely a great game, and the overlay is a breeze to use if I'm honest. But if you're struggling with it, you can always just get in touch and I can give you some pointers.
I'm glad you covered that subject, but I'm already excited for Hajimari However, I don't want any spoiler or even hints until I can play it myself, so I'll bookmark that video until then to see if you were right :)
Speaking of the novel 3 and 9, I read the first chapter in-game. I do intend to continue to read it after I'm done with CS4. As with all of the books that may add insight to the future.
Hey Kiseki Nut, I'd LOVE a video sharing your thoughts on Hajimari with spoilers involved. I think it's narratively a very interesting game and I'd just like to see someone talk about it without you having to be so vague in this video.
I was considering this my man, but I think I'll wait until the English version comes out. Not only do I want to play it again to get a second perspective, but I also feel it will be a bit weird to discuss a game that a fair amount of the fanbase haven't played yet.
Here are my thoughts on the battle system. I think it will still very much be turn-based. However, I think it may wind up very much akin to The Legend of Dragoon, possibly similar to Atelier Ryza. In that general direction with the typical Falcom flares. My copy of Cold Steel IV arrived today! Very excited to play that!
My guess is a year, maybe a year in a half? Considering how small the release gap was between 3 to 4 (being a year only) I don’t think they’ll have us wait too long.
@@NovaSniper12 True that the release dates between 3 and 4 was 1 year both in Japan (2017-2018) and in US (2019-2020) BUT was two years between the releases of each opus in Japan and in the US
I'm fine with the combat evolving into something completely different. What I'm not fine with, is changing genres. I will not accept an Action RPG Trails game, but I don't think they're actually doing that, anyway. I think people are misinterpreting what they've said, and the end result will share some similarities with Grandia.
I’m praying they don’t stray too far from what makes trial games fun with its turn base. I always thought ys filled the role of action rpg just fine and trials filled the role of turn base just fine so I’m not sure what it is they are trying to do by changing it up since it already fulfills a good play style.
Just beaten cs4 earlier today. Now I'm wandering like a husk looking for more trails. Good to know there's another one on the horizon. Hope the English release won't be as long as CS3
While I'm not interested in playing translation patches or Japanese versions, I want to play this already just so I can tell if it's likely the next arc is in my Kiseki homeland: Calvard!
I finally had the time to watch this as I didn't watched it when it was aired on the channel months ago and also it was before I finished Hajimari. I finished Hajimari two months ago and good lord it is a quite a great game. I also would love to see that Kuro to implement these episode story element in their game as I can see several characters making a small appearance in the game and it would be neat to have them. Speaking of which, was this video made after or before the Beyond the Genesis update?
Been playing Trails IV (still in Act I at the time of of this comment)...and hearing you saying that Hajimari is like the "Swan song" for the characters in the series is kinda bitter sweet for me. I really love this series and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life after it's over XD. Oh well...I am yet to play Trails in the Sky and Trails Zero when they get localized and still have a full game ahead of me in Trails IV...so I'll keep my chin up xP
There is no shame in using high speed. Normal speed feels just brutally slow and high speed a little too fast it would be nice if they could just find a happy medium.
@@TheKisekiNut I ended up seeing one again and realised why it looked so different. I never knew they were planning to switch and did not put two and two together for some reason.
I think Hajimari is the half-way point of the series, if the director's comment of them planning it going for another 20 years is anything to go by. It would also make sense in that we've only covered 4/7 Sept-Terion, but since Steel was a two-for one deal, you could say we've gone through 3/6. If that's the case, I'm happy. I don't mind playing Trails games into my 50s. xD
It's about 2/3 of the way through. Falcom have said that the series after CS4 was 60% done, with Hajimari we're most likely around 65% done as an estimate. That still leaves roughly 2 to 3 arcs depending on how many games go in to each one.
Agree on the combat system, but someone made a difficulty mod for Cold Steel 3 on PC that is ABSOLUTELY amazing and impossible to break the game really. I don't understand why Falcom can't balance their games properly and a random guy on the internet can make a mod and make it 1000% more enjoyable. They have been way too easy since CS1 and AT delay became a thing.
While I am still playing CS4 right now, I cannot wait getting my hands on Hajimari hopefully next year. Or I might just import the game like I did back in the day for Tales games because I couldnt wait. I didnt have a translation or an overlay that time haha.
This is by far the best 3D era Trails game. But most importantly its best parts are made by new staff at falcom who are going to be in charge of the calvard arc. The future is in good hands so even if CS4 wasn't good its no reason to lose hope.
Still playing Cold Steel 3 and waiting for the release of IV on steam, only played the Steel series, so until IV comes out I'll have to play the Sky arc :)
i'm looking forward to the dual combat system. being able to switch between the real time system, and the classic system as found in the cold steel series is going to be good.
I'd love to see the series take some nods from Arc the Lad and go a more tactical route by expanding the battlefield and finally letting characters both move and attack in the same turn.
I'd like to think that come this shareholder meeting we'll get an idea of what route they're gonna go down. I can't see it being anything else except Trails this year.
Also I Want to know since we don't get to play rean in this new one do we at least get info on him does he make an appearance at some point and who did he end up with canon wise I don't care about spoilers.
they have been consistent with 1 trails game per year for a while now so its not impossible, although i have heard that 2021 is the year of YS so we will see
@@Moffattt well thats because CS3 and 4 released a year between each other in JP and it took 2 years to get them here and both were translated at the same time so not exactly yearly
I'm really hyped for CS4 and Hajimari :) on another note: are you maybe considering making a video on what to know before playing CS4 like you did for 3?
I envy you'll get to experience both of these fresh off the shelf! As for the video idea, I won't be because more than likely I'll be just saying exactly the same thing as I did for the CS3 video. That video was simply a one off because of the nature of CS3 as a game. For CSIV I just did a similar video to this one.
Sadly, I have to wait till Friday to play Trails of Cold Steel IV. So excited to play the conclusion of the Erebonia arc. I really hope they do move on to the Calvard arc after Hajimari. I don't know how they'll introduce the world of Calvard, considering that so much has happened to it across the course of the Cold Steel and Crossbell games.
I'm still on Act 1, I'm still 14 hours in. I'm taking my time with it because I noticed when I played Cold Steel III, it started feeling like a slog as I went on in the middle chapters of the story, mostly because I played up to 10 hours a day when I got it. I don't want a similar experience in Cold Steel IV. So I decided I would play the game for 2 hours at least. 3 hours if I know I'm nearing the end of the section. I just finished the Lamare section in Act 1 today, so yeah I played about 3 hours today. Also, it's not the only game that I'm playing right now. I finished Zwei 2 yesterday.
Did you mean the Prologue scene when you talked about the new engine? For all who played CS4 already to the true ending, i can acutally recommend watching it, cause it doesnt spoil you anything really of whats happening there.
I am a little nervous about the cross path system. I am afraid it's going to feel awkward. Does it have blocks forcing you to catch up with the others? Does it allow you to play one to the end, and thus making a bunch of events appear sudden and random? Does it cause character interactions to be limited only to those closely related to their paths? I really, really do hope I will like it but I got these worries.
And here I was a little disappointed Kiseki Nut didn't make a CS4 NA review, only to realize he was making a full Hajimari preview. Completely redeemed - can't wait! Also saw a glimpse of the cinematic you referenced in the video and if the PS5 era of games looks anything like that I will be in heaven. Thanks so much for the excellent video!
Haha, well technically I did do a CS4 review, but it wasn't in the typical fashion. And I was too hyped up with Hajimari - not to mention my game's still in transit since I'm in the UK and we got delayed. Glad you liked it though!
Well I can think of at least one other game that did the whole split paths thing and it also was a great game. Suikoden 3 back on PS2 had 3 story paths that all converge into one later in the game and it was done quite well. Still to this day one of my favorites tho if it had been a Trails game I'd be afraid to see them try to flesh out 108+ characters
I'll try not to spoil it but i like the final boss of the game and also the choice they made to get the normal and true ending makes sense now really the trails series has better world building and story points than most AAA games
Using the Zerofield translations, how tough is it to switch between stories using the Cross Story system and find the correct text line to display? Same question if I talk to NPC or Active voice events. I'd rather know now than opening the spreadsheet and getting spoiled by reading some lines accidently ^^'
The game's basically on rails, you're playing a subtitled experience. So what will happen is the overlay will tell you to 'go see X', and you just follow it along like a guide. So really you're not getting spoiled on anything.
little late to the party, im avoiding story spoilers (im pretty sure i know all the characters in here aside from the new ppl) but i was looking for certain information bout this game and it sounded like you went over it but also i would like to double check. you said you have to keep the characters up to snuff, does this mean that none of the characters quartz , master quartz and gear are locked? like i can change everyone's stuff? like i can change renne's MQ/quartz/ and equips? i ask because i had the opposite gripe i hated that i couldn't gear up alot of the characters outside of class 7 (including celine which to me was weird i mean...shes class 7 too >.>) so if by you need to keep everyone geared means that i can gear everyone's MQ/Quartz/and equips however i want then im fully ok with this!
I did indeed thanks to the Zerofield team! And oddly enough, yes, it was surprisingly easy for me. Maybe I'm just being pedantic though. :) Edit - Just saw you mention Abyss difficulty, I haven't actually tried that yet, but I've heard it ramps up the difficulty significantly. That'll probably be the next step on a rerun!
Reason one, it's a trails game

Great video! So glad the translation and overlay worked for you. I do expect Tio to be the thumbnail of your next Hajimari video though :p
A Mishy salute goes to the Zerofield team!
On another note, I don't know what's so bad about the thumbnail, I've put the best girl on it? :)
@@TheKisekiNut Yeah yeah sure. But still, Tio thumbnail would make me very happy :D
Man you are so passionate with trails, I love it!!! Right now I am revisiting my Childhood which is the Cold Steel series, seeing Rean's conclusion makes me so emotional man, can't wait to play the game after IV.
I'll always be passionate about Trails my man. No other Series like it.
I know I am late to this video but I really need to say I appreciate the editing and the humor so much. 🤣🤣🤣
All i need is for Estelle Joshua and Renne to return... and Tio, Tio is adorable
Oh I’m already excited 😊
Lets be honest... What mostly of us are really waiting for is Estelle, Joshua and Renne return :)
Yes D:
And Kevin! I miss Kevin.
What i like is, that you can play Mc Burn in the extra Chapter
Hey, Great video, happy to see your back with a new video
My Hajimari copy arrives any day now and this video is making me even more hyped to finally play it!
I'm 80 hours into Cold Steel IV and I juts finished Act 1. I'm very excited for the next chapters and I'm glad I have something new to look forward to while waiting for the Calvard Arc.
You can always jump in immediately after CS4 thanks to the overlay! It's quite easy to set up.
God july 7th is taking a long time I can't wait for it
I'm enjoying CS4 alot so Hajimari looks like another great adventure
Nice video great to get me hyped for the future will waiting for my cs4 limited edition (shipping is a pain especially in the UK) but yeah glad to hear good things about this game and one quick note on the combat changing I understand the uncertainty from the fans but I see it as a chance for the games to look and feel even more epic as I love real time combat but yeah great video looking forward to whenever the next is 😀
True that! The UK always seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to shipping, but then again everyone in EU is mostly in the same boat.
I'm glad to ear that it deliver :D
I'm more hype for this than PS5 Demonsouls Remake... and I'm a souls fans since og DeS on PS3 lol
Trails is definitely my no.1 game series now ;)
I just wanted to say I just spotted the Crossbell series on Steam! Maybe this is common knowledge but I had no idea. It's not out yet/translated but heeeey, for those of us who are playing on PC this is good good news!
Me who play 9 trails series : Why wouldn't I excited with the 10th game 😂
I had a feeling you would enjoy it DP! It's a great game no doubt about that, and I'll probably give it one more playthrough after CSIV.
Hajimari is definitely a great game, and the overlay is a breeze to use if I'm honest. But if you're struggling with it, you can always just get in touch and I can give you some pointers.
@@TheKisekiNut Sounds good! I'll be sure to ask if I ever decide to use it and run into trouble.
I'm glad you covered that subject, but I'm already excited for Hajimari
However, I don't want any spoiler or even hints until I can play it myself, so I'll bookmark that video until then to see if you were right :)
Speaking of the novel 3 and 9, I read the first chapter in-game. I do intend to continue to read it after I'm done with CS4. As with all of the books that may add insight to the future.
Indeed they do, not to mention 3&9 is one of my favourites along with Carnelia and Red Moon Rose.
@@TheKisekiNut that time may be soon, NISA America teasing Falcom fans about the stream on the 24th has me excited. Maybe a Naito localization too?
@@ChernyyVolk Nope, 2023 unfortunately (Forget about a tease, that's a full on TAUNT)
Mannn. Wonder how many years it’ll take for us to get Hajimari in English.
My guess is a year, maybe a year in a half? Considering how small the release gap was between 3 to 4 (being a year only) I don’t think they’ll have us wait too long.
@@NovaSniper12 True that the release dates between 3 and 4 was 1 year both in Japan (2017-2018) and in US (2019-2020) BUT was two years between the releases of each opus in Japan and in the US
The release gaps are actually relatively short for these games, so I’d give it 1.5 to 2 years
2023...
July 2023
I'm fine with the combat evolving into something completely different. What I'm not fine with, is changing genres. I will not accept an Action RPG Trails game, but I don't think they're actually doing that, anyway. I think people are misinterpreting what they've said, and the end result will share some similarities with Grandia.
I’m praying they don’t stray too far from what makes trial games fun with its turn base. I always thought ys filled the role of action rpg just fine and trials filled the role of turn base just fine so I’m not sure what it is they are trying to do by changing it up since it already fulfills a good play style.
@@NovaSniper12 what i am praying is that they might adopt some of the real time elements from Grandia with the active time bar.
Hajimari seems like the game that I wanted cold steel 4 to be in some ways
It is, that's how I felt while playing Hajimari
My new years resolution is to play through more JRPG series this year, including Legend of Heros, Tales Of, Final Fantasy and YS!!
It says wonders about the overall quality of the series when your review of your 6th/10th favorite is still about 75-80% gushing.
Exactly. I love every game in this series, even those at the bottom, so arguably it's a lot harder for me to rank them.
This was made before after the update, wouldn't really make sense to do a review unless I had the context from the extra chapter. :)
@@TheKisekiNut I kinda wanna see your ranking of the Episodes Hajimari did but I guess I could wait cuz spoilers obviously hahaha
I just started my second run of Nightmare mode of TOCS3 because of the trophies.
I will wait for my CS4 release for the Switch next year
Been playing Trails IV (still in Act I at the time of of this comment)...and hearing you saying that Hajimari is like the "Swan song" for the characters in the series is kinda bitter sweet for me.
I really love this series and I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life after it's over XD.
Oh well...I am yet to play Trails in the Sky and Trails Zero when they get localized and still have a full game ahead of me in Trails IV...so I'll keep my chin up xP
Enjoy your journey! It's an emotional ride for sure.
There is no shame in using high speed. Normal speed feels just brutally slow and high speed a little too fast it would be nice if they could just find a happy medium.
I am going to have to keep an eye out for that cut scene when I play it again, I never noticed anything that looked like it was on a different engine.
I'm surprised! There were actually two cutscenes in the game which stood out to me immediately, though they were quite far in to the game.
That still leaves roughly 2 to 3 arcs depending on how many games go in to each one.
can't believe this will be the last game with my boy rean in it.
Haven't watched the Video yet...But Already Liked it Because It Supports Trails..........
My Dengeki Grandmaster edition is on its way to me, I just couldn't resist and ordered it...can't wait to play it after platinum in Ao Kai.
While I am still playing CS4 right now, I cannot wait getting my hands on Hajimari hopefully next year. Or I might just import the game like I did back in the day for Tales games because I couldnt wait. I didnt have a translation or an overlay that time haha.
The Loa Erebonius song is my favorite. Pulsation to Tomorrow chorus sung by a Latin choir was too good
I have a feeling olivert will show up on the next arc
This is by far the best 3D era Trails game.
But most importantly its best parts are made by new staff at falcom who are going to be in charge of the calvard arc.
The future is in good hands so even if CS4 wasn't good its no reason to lose hope.
Going to pre-order the limited edition from nis😃
Still playing Cold Steel 3 and waiting for the release of IV on steam, only played the Steel series, so until IV comes out I'll have to play the Sky arc :)
It's wild af that we had to wait TWO years for this to come to the west. I wish they'd localize these a lot faster, jeez
i'm looking forward to the dual combat system.
being able to switch between the real time system, and the classic system as found in the cold steel series is going to be good.
Dude
Nightmare is the New Easy mode
Also I Want to know since we don't get to play rean in this new one do we at least get info on him does he make an appearance at some point and who did he end up with canon wise I don't care about spoilers.
What are your rankings of the games so far?
Hopefully it will release in 2021 though I doubt it.
they have been consistent with 1 trails game per year for a while now so its not impossible, although i have heard that 2021 is the year of YS so we will see
@@Moffattt well thats because CS3 and 4 released a year between each other in JP and it took 2 years to get them here and both were translated at the same time so not exactly yearly
50 characters that need to have their gear in check at all times?
SO.............. MUCH.............. MIRA
I'm really hyped for CS4 and Hajimari :)
on another note: are you maybe considering making a video on what to know before playing CS4 like you did for 3?
I envy you'll get to experience both of these fresh off the shelf!
As for the video idea, I won't be because more than likely I'll be just saying exactly the same thing as I did for the CS3 video. That video was simply a one off because of the nature of CS3 as a game. For CSIV I just did a similar video to this one.
Cool you updated the title
Lets hope it gets localized.
Sadly, I have to wait till Friday to play Trails of Cold Steel IV. So excited to play the conclusion of the Erebonia arc. I really hope they do move on to the Calvard arc after Hajimari. I don't know how they'll introduce the world of Calvard, considering that so much has happened to it across the course of the Cold Steel and Crossbell games.
how is it to play with the overlay? is it clunky? did you have issue with dialog? I want to make sure before I pay 60-70 usd for it
Keep up the work bro
Trails series is way too underrated
The Series is gaining a lot of traction lately though!
I’ll be excited for it when it’s localized 😅
hopefully in 2022
NOW UNTO TO DECEMBER, as we wait for the shareholder meeting
It’s just a masterpiece already
Well he did do a video similar to this one for cold steel 4. A why you should be excited for it kind of thing. Got me hyped just like this one did
I from Kazakhstan and I very excite
Already got my physical Hajimari copy + a Game capture card even though I still have to play Azure (which I'm currently on) CS3 and CS4! :D
Plenty to get stuck in to! Hopefully you have the spare time to get properly invested.
The number #1 reason why I’m excited for Trails into Reverie is because it’s a continuation of Rean’s story.
I'll try not to spoil it but i like the final boss of the game and also the choice they made to get the normal and true ending makes sense now really the trails series has better world building and story points than most AAA games
I don't understand how you could say steel 4 felt like a closing chapter when it was clear at the end oroborus plan was to happen in 3 years.
Love the channel brother
little late to the party, im avoiding story spoilers (im pretty sure i know all the characters in here aside from the new ppl) but i was looking for certain information bout this game and it sounded like you went over it but also i would like to double check. you said you have to keep the characters up to snuff, does this mean that none of the characters quartz , master quartz and gear are locked? like i can change everyone's stuff? like i can change renne's MQ/quartz/ and equips? i ask because i had the opposite gripe i hated that i couldn't gear up alot of the characters outside of class 7 (including celine which to me was weird i mean...shes class 7 too >.>) so if by you need to keep everyone geared means that i can gear everyone's MQ/Quartz/and equips however i want then im fully ok with this!
Got through the October update stuff finally I take it? ;) And Abyss was easy? :D
I did indeed thanks to the Zerofield team! And oddly enough, yes, it was surprisingly easy for me. Maybe I'm just being pedantic though. :)
Edit - Just saw you mention Abyss difficulty, I haven't actually tried that yet, but I've heard it ramps up the difficulty significantly. That'll probably be the next step on a rerun!
