Awesome!! It's always a joy to watch a well trained dog performing. It reminds me that it IS possible to get that good, even if it takes me years and years.
@Yarden Greenchild animals have always been a joy and a pleasure to me, but I think (without presumption, I hope) that dogs are a direct blessing from God, with the number of stories I've heard of them helping people like you and me.
I have a 11 mos old male GS...the protection your dog showed in this video made me tear up. THAT WAS beautifully fantastic loyalty and the reason I will always have a GS.
Having read your post I just had to comment. GbR I have trained protection dogs since 1974. They are exactly as shown in the videos. Yes I cry like a baby when I am forced to put them to sleep. I mean cry like a baby. Afterward I play Todd Rundgren's Healer 1, 2, and 3. Some how that helps a bit. Currently I have two GSD's and an Akita. I dread the day. Best wishes to you.

I'm so happy with my German Shepherd. Always ready to play, and it's been said that she has a sense of humor. Females can avoid a lot of social nonsense with a well-trained protection dog.
Belgian Malinois and Belgian Shepherds have been around a long time. Malinois particularly has German Shepherd bred into them. Working line German Shepherds are just as good as Malinois's. Only difference is that the Malinois is much lighter and leaner and therefore Malinois is not only more flexible, but they are cheaper to maintain at the vet and cheaper to feed. Hence, why there are being used widely. The German Shepherd is still used everywhere, in military, police, and home protection around the world. In fact in home protection they are preferred because you need an animal that can live with the family and protect the family. Belgian Malinois are currently being bred to be very "drivey" which has consequences on their character. Most people would not enjoy handling a Malinois because they are like Shepherds on crack. I've had both
