I would be really interested in a video where you just work on a song and lightly commentate on how you approach it. In any case you've already kickstarted my learning process so thank you for that!
I was planning to do that for the next one! it will just be on how to make a cover! Also, I do have a stream VOD that i will upload where I just did a cover. That will be going up once the cover is on the channel!
Youre saving my life omg thank you! I started using synthv today and i can't figure out how to extend syllables or how to... have the note change during a syllable, like, if in 'alone' I wanted the O to be stretched out and go down two steps. Any help on how to do either of those?? Thanks!!
There are two symbols you can use to manipulate syllables; [ - ] and [ + ]. [ - ] will extend the current syllable across that note, allowing for mid-syllable note changes, while [ + ] will segment the word into its individual syllables, and each [ + ] will be treated as the next syllable in the word (ex. "volcano" would be broken up to "vol ca no" and look like [ volcano ] [ + ] [ + ]).
This is the kind of thing I would want to learn - making Elly sound less like a machine. I can observe things happening with curves in other vids and have been wondering how to stretch out some of these syllables, because she tends to hit them hard and fast. I see a lot of songs where it seems like the tuner added the lyrics and called it a day; I want better.
@@TamashiiP that's the one! I just got slapped with an upgrade fee for the soft synth I've barely had time to use; I didn't want to invest in this yet only to have DT have a change of heart in charging for the upgrade.
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. How did you make the note sound while writing it 4:08 ? I can't find where to turn this function on in the settings:( Thank you in advance!
So I'm in awe right now because I found Synthv and decided to download it and I was like, "I'm gonna do a cover of fireflies" and I just clicked on this to learn more and you said fireflies and I was like... oh heck yeah.
This tutorials are pure gold. Do you have any sound engineering /music production background? you editing skills are impressive. Do you have any experience in vocal tuning and editing? Sorry, too many questions! I'd love to get in touch with you if you're ok with it. Great stuff!
I'd be very happy to talk about editing/production stuff! To answer your questions, no, I didn't have any experience with audio engineering/production before this January, when I started using Synth V. I do, however, have a background with music, as I played brass instruments for well over a decade. I have some training in Theory, but not a whole lot. I used to do audio editing for voice overs on promotional videos for my High School robotics team, so that's where I learned how to use editing software.
@@TamashiiP great! I thought so! I can give you a lot of tips! But I gotta say you'd be a great vocal/tuning editor with all that you've learnt with this app!
I explain it in the third tutorial! i'm currently in the process of editing that, so please keep an eye out for it! it, along with a new cover, should be up by the end of the week!
How did you make the breath preset/is it already in the program? Also, because they removed glottal effects from the new editor, is there any way to ‘cheat’ them back in or fake their effects? I made a growl with a SUPER fast but shallow vibrato, I wonder if the breath one is doable because I love how it sounds. In other points, does saki AI work with the old editor/if she does, do you prefer to use the old or new editor in general?
Unfortunately, there's no way to fake the old glottal effects engine in the new Studio program. It's a feature that i do miss, but the pros of the new engine outweigh the cons. Also unfortunately, Saki's AI voice only works with the newest Studio update, version 1.1.0 and further. I do prefer the new editor though, because it's more streamlined and makes editing parameters easier!
@@TamashiiP thanks for the info!! I have found that high notes and breathiness on saki AI makes something almost growly, so I’ll see if I can’t push it until I reach the limits of this editor. The new editor is very nice though, if lacking explanation on all the buttons + the phoneme chart (which you can get from the core files if you really want it, but it doesn’t have the examples, just lists them and their types. Sad.)
Please have a look at some of the other comments! I've provided a few answers to different problems involving this, and one may be what you're looking for! If not, I'll gladly help in any way I can!
Could you tell me how to import dictionaries? I wanna make Eleanor speak japanese. Also thanks now I know longer vibrato waves = more pain in her voice

the studio engine makes her sound even more natural, if that's what you're going for!

At 11:39 what are the blue lines that allow her to repeat? 🤔
The blue line is the second track of the vocals! you can add extra tracks by clicking Project > Track Manager
anyone know where that phoneme chart is in the newest version of basic?

Por favor, activa los subtítulos en español, gracias.
Cool stuff, but the sound is crap and reminds me of anime trash.
