I am married to Joy, owner of Georgia Girl Stitches. Thank you so much for featuring her bag on your channel. You did an amazing job and your bag is beautiful. We both appreciate you taking the time to make this tutorial. It really means a lot.
I love when designers support sewing you tubers! Thank you guys for supporting other makers and I will be purchasing this pattern soon! There have been a few designers lately who have quit allowing videos, only after probably thousands of us have purchased patterns because our favorite you tubers showcased it. Because of that I now make it a point to support those who support others. We are all in this together, vent over haha.
It is an amazing pattern! I’ve already received compliments on it, and Kassiah is an amazing video instructor. You are blessed that she did this pattern!
You are famous in Houston, TX! I was wearing this bag today, and the lady in front and back of me in line recognized it and said they watch you, too. 💜💜 Keep those videos coming!
Thank you. I like this one a lot because of the many outside pockets. I'm going to make one for myself.....and if it works out, then for some friends who i know like the pocket-thing too. A pleasure to watch.
Kassiah, love the video. Very informative. A suggestion for you instead of backstitching on your handle. You could have left a long tail of thread, started sewing back a few stitches from where you stopped and sewn in the same holes with no backstitching. Tie off the threads like before and bury in between the layers of leather.
Do you plan on making the Cami bag by Georgia GS? I hear it is a bit more difficult by wanted to know your thought. Thanks for your tutorials. The help so much.
My lightbulb came on after watching your video. Just an idea mind you. When doing your leather or vinyl strip on the inside pocket this is what I came up with. Add an 1/8" to the width of the measurement. When deciding on the amount of your front width say for example.... 1/2" mark the fold line to that and clip the front 1/2" and have a longer back side. So when stitching you won't have to worry if you are catching the back of the strip. Then if you don't like the extra, trim it off by using Duckbill Scissors.
I love the bag but not sure about the leather. Is there a way to make the raw edges of the leather not be so fuzzy where you would have a cleaner more finished look?
You could put Edge coat, which goes on like paint on your raw edges of your leather. I just started trying to use a bit if leather in my sewing and it works well. I just bought it on Amazon.
Love this bag! Will definitely be purchasing this pattern. Thank you for the tutorial. What stitch length do you use? Do you change lengths when top stitching?

Thank you for this helpful video! May I ask where you purchase your beautiful canvas?
I love the bag but not sure about the leather. Is there a way to make the raw edges of the leather not be so fuzzy where you would have a cleaner more finished look?
Yes it just all depends on what kind of leather you purchase.
Now that I have an industrial I would like to add leather to my bags. I guess I should start watching some UA-cam videos on finishing raw edges.

Love this bag! Will definitely be purchasing this pattern. Thank you for the tutorial. What stitch length do you use? Do you change lengths when top stitching?
I usually go from 4-5.5 when sewing
