This was a great restoration but I just want to point out that even the legendary Louis Vuitton cuts corners. I expected the trim leather on the outside to actually be sewn into the cover, not glued. I didn’t know the LV printed cover was canvas instead of leather. I see that as another corner cut that they get away with just because it’s Louis Vuitton. I see the interior being glued in as a big corner cut. The French don't really use "vachetta" to describe it, but instead say "cuir de vache", which literally translates as cow leather. Sometimes they use "vachette", which is pronounced VA-SHET, with SH like in ":sheep".
Again, neither the French, nor Italians pronounce CH as the English CH in "cheese", instead the French pronounce it as the SH in "sheep", while the Italians pronounce it like the KE in "kettle".
I wish she wouldn’t be talking ruins the experience
Comment section reminding me how much everyone outside of England hates the northern English accent.
And also women talking, apparently.
I liked it :-)
@@heathermay9884 Lets be honest she has a horrible voice. Do you?I dont and I am a woman. ✌🏽
I'd recommend watching this withOUT sound...
This is so magical
The item is an item that is used for being an item.
Amazing work ❤️
How many times does she need to say perfect...
I find it hilarious that someone would spend the money to restore a fake Louis Vuitton trunk, not only fake but a bad fake at that. Anyone who knows Louis Vuitton can see this from a mile away… shame on Art Insider!
And no one know lol😂 repaired the fake 🎉
I don't know but it seems to me that piece is fake, the canvas is not symmetrical
Daniel has serious skills 💯
I can buy a vanity case from the Goodwill for 5 dollars and it would serve the EXACT same purpose. On a semi-related subject, there's a channel about guys who restore shoes and they did a video about St. Laurent shoes. After taking the shoe apart, it was discovered that St. Laurent uses the same quality heel on their shoes, that you would find at a Walmart. Point to my comment is, don't waste your money of "high end" brand. They're stuff is just as crap as the low end retailer brand.
i was about to say the same thing
What’s with the ‘we’?
how much does it cost
You talk , unstoppable !!!
3:28 “we actually have to be careful the cleaner doesn’t touch the canvas part, because it could remove the LV designs”
IMMEDIATELY in the clip the person runs a little on the top when cleaning the handle 😂💀
Who would’ve guessed that this trunk weighed more than a ton.
nothing against what she’s saying, just how she’s saying it. uncomfortable inflections
The stitches is different from the original
The visuals are 12/10 but the lady talking is bothering me, I'm sorry but could you stop saying perfect so much please thank you
Out of topic, i loved her accent 👍👍
I have authentic LV belt the larger one with the larger thicker LV does anyone know where I can have it repaired?
How much would It cost to do this Job on a bag?
Great workmanship!!
How much does they pay for this job ... I'd love to try once
Why bother restoring a fake LV trunk? The hardware is fake, the stitching is not aligned, the handle is fake. LV never cut their "LV" logo... this is sad.
13:28 left side
The big bulge, good thing the upholsterer is such an A grade expert! Also missing the last stitch on the lower leather pocket. Top right corner.
FYI...... This is not authentic.
Proof
@@DanteAndTheTrees No nails on the borders, stitching looks like it was done in a back alley somewhere, none of the hardware is marked. I collect these and have owned 100’s over the past decade.
@@michaelsherman91 right. thanks for the info
The marking on the left side also doesn’t line up. It’s not real.
Corners aren't brass
Why is this so satisfying ?
IF ONLY this was an authentic LV trunk! This is a FAKE and the worst ones!
Meaal corner?
2:38 ok, the stitch are just ornament? are you sure that mastercraft worth 4,000 euros? to me ...worth nothing!
her voice made this almost unwatchable.
Sound off; works a treat.
I want it for its beauty ❤
😋😍👍
This is ridiculous.
It’s a recorded voice over. Not a live session. She says “eh... ehm...” way too often!!! Audio quality is also not great. She is not a good teller!!! Replace her! Oughhh... I had to put the video on mute to continue watching.
only the restoration at Louis Vuitton does not devalue your bags, the after your restoration, well your "vanity" is no longer worth anything
It’s already devalued.
Probably could do without the narration.
Interesting video, Use a non marring hammer on those pins
what an obnoxious narration my god... just let us enjoy the good work that is being done...
Much better on Mute.
I don’t see a $4,000.00 box.
$4,000 for a box. Why.
Had to turn sound way down. The voice was very harsh.
Muted the video while watching..... so much better.
Take a shot every time she says perfect
