Try using a silicone cake baker instead of a flat Silicone mat, if you plan to make more.
The clay water would've worked for the aged paper too. :)

Your parchment paper lantern is the most stunning and original craft I've seen in this series. Or more precisely, in a long time. It's very versatile and could be used with various seasonal motifs throughout the year.

Attach the bamboo ring to your silicone mat with hot glue to keep the resin from leaking out.

That lantern at night is beautiful! Fantastic job on the entire box, but you always do awesome things. I found out the hard way to add my hanger hole to clay while it's still wet in the beginning. Good to know about the super glue with it so thanks.
