like the card like the way you coloured the bird.
I use almost anything for backgrounds on my cards. Paper bags, wrapping paper, kitchen roll. Anything. Depending on the quality of the paper I do use "as is" or emboss. But I've never thought of stamping them. You've given me some new ideas. Thanks

I also love writing haiku that I write, in calligraphy, on strips of brown paper bags. I punch a hole in one end, with a regular office hole punch, add a string. I like to leave them tied to neighbors’ doors. They are called weathergrams, and the neighbors are supposed to tie them to a bush or tree, and watch them through the seasons. I had one last on one of my plants a couple years! I used acrylic ink, so it held up to the weather. It’s fun to repurpose the brown paper bags. They make great wrapping paper, with a sprig of dried eucalyptus, or rosemary, and a hemp twine bow. Thank you!

These are beautiful cards Brandi! I can't decide either. They are all so amazing. Did you know that you can iron your grocery bag to take out the creases. That will optimize the amount of bag that you have to use on your cards. What fun is that?

I’ve been doing this with paper bags. I like crumbling the paper up then smooth nd take a brow ink pad and swipe on the paper…gives it an old leather look

I've learned to always use a tiny dab of glue behind gems. LOVE using kraft bags on my projects...adds a nice color. YES! LOVE the embossing folder work on the mushroom card!! thanks for posting this tutorial...much appreciated!!

Such a wonderful idea! Years ago, I saved some vintage looking paper bags that already had images on them, but hadn't thought of doing this clever idea. I remember as a kid, my mom using paper bags for our textbook covers and we could draw on them. Gosh, you could even use these bags for gift wrap or creating a decorative band across a clear box with matching notecards. So cool! Absolutely love your creativity! Thank you so much for sharing this idea.

Brandy, this is soooooo spooky ha ha - not your card, the fact you are showing this today. Only yesterday, I was clearing out all the paper gift bags, I seem to collect them - some of them have lovely patterns on already, and I though mmm that would make a lovely backdrop to the front of a card a DSP and i could put something on top of it, as you have just done with your bird. I also kept the rope that was the handle of the bag as I can use that when sewing different things. Oh great minds think alike - thanks Brandy for another LOVELY video. Linda x
