@KirkWilliams African Americans need to start moving with AI and enter an entrepreneurial mindset. Trump becoming president could be great for African Americans. When someone says in YOUR FACE that they don't want you, that freea you up to build your own thing and prosper.
I've built an AI children's reading aid called Conversations With Characters where kidd can type messages to their favorite characters and have conversations with them. Illustrated and all!
We need to stop relying on the American system. We can earn dollars and go elsewhere.

I am a black woman and 3 years ago, I left the United States with every intention of coming back. My goal was to see the world for a few years, then come back home. After being out of the states, seeing the political divide, the racism, etc, I am much happier outside of the United States. I don't hate the United States, but in my opinon, it is not the best in the world and people get in their feelings when you say this. EVERY country in the world has it's issues and depending on where you go, some more than others. I have found culture, a community, wayyy less food additives, peace and I can walk into the mall and grocery store without fear of being caught up in a shooting. Children here, don't have a fear of getting unalived in school.
Living in another country is not for everyone, but for me it is. When I talk to friends and family back home, I always laugh at the ignorance from people including hearing things like: their doctors aren't real doctors, do they have grocery stores that look like ours, aren't they all poor, etc. People are under the very false impression that the United States is the only country in the world where life can be great. It is not. Some people would just have to experience it for themselves, but sadly, their fear of the unknown and the narrative that the U.S is THE place to be, keeps them from adventuring out of their bubble.

Funny to see how many comments are from Expats. We left the US in August and are on the Continent. My first few weeks were spent in natural detox as my body shed years of chemicals. It was an experience. I am still detoxing but at a different rate. To find that you can live abroad COMFORTABLY is a relief. No, everything is not perfect, but it is manageable. Are there problems in my destination country? Absolutely. However, the social safety net is much better than in the US.
I worked in Healthcare for years. I saw a lot. A person could have a nice net worth and see it all go away from one medical procedure.
Aging is already stressful due to the usual issues that come along (vision diminishing, loss of muscle mass, etc). I don't need any additional help with health issues.

Understand context is everything. Austin Holleman is a prime example of that. Until recently, White People weren't leaving the USA due to the political climate. I think it's fair to say that the political climate has always been in the top 2 reasons that the overwhelming majority of Black People have left the USA no matter which decade or century we're talking about. Look no further than Sally Hemmings and Thomas Jefferson (his Black, Babies Mother) once she was securely in Europe she started negotiating based upon the laws in the country she was in. She wasn't happy here and the USA has for a base objective to make sure that will always be the case.

Richard, racism is systemic in this country. The whole system is set up for that. The amount of wealth that you achieved here in another country. We're treating people of our color fairly. You would easily be a billionaire. So we have to stop feeling like just because we have a little bit like that's enough it's not. On top of that, we also have to talk about the systematic destruction of the black family. They won't allow us to maintain family appropriately here without interfering into our matters. Our innate values as black people are not in agreement with the current system and status quo of the people who set this thing up.. We are old massive amounts of reparations and they refuse to give that but yet every other group has been paid out.except us.

You haven't experienced real racism until you leave america trust me. Those of us who say they haven't experienced racism in other countries it's for the simple fact that we go to these countries usually as part of the top 1% and we are isolated from the troubles of regular folks from that specific country. So that systemic racism thing is very soft in america compared to say europe , latin america or even asia

    • @d.d.2555
      @d.d.2555 6 днів тому

If racism is systemic in America, then why is it that Africans come to America and do so well that some corporations and colleges don't even list them as black. They're put under white. How is it that systemic racism magically skips over Africans, Asians, Indians but falls on black Americans?
We're using it as an excuse not to live an upright life. No one is keeping our families apart but us. No white man is in our bedrooms telling us to have sex outside of marriage without protection and then telling black men to abandon the woman and child.
And no one owes us a check for just existing. Reparations are for those who were actually enslaved, not you 160yrs later. Everyone has NOT been paid. That's one of the many destructive myths in our community. The few who were given a settlement were actually alive. Is wasn't given to their descendants 5 generations later.

Richard, first of all, not all Black Americans are at the "bottom of the barrel" that you speak of. There are many of us who are thriving and doing well right here at home in America. Now, for those who are struggling, they are the ones who need to do a "serious" self-assessment and find ways to grab hold of the plethora of opportunities that are available in their own backyards. People need to increase their knowledge and skill sets, and these are the biggest issues with those who find themselves lagging, plus repeat bad choices. I am all for Black Americans (all Americans regardless of race) exploring the international spaces to discover what's on the other side. I have a thriving career in medicine which allows me the opportunity to travel abroad several times per year. I have been traveling since 2012. I recently returned from traveling across Europe (Greece, Italy, France and Malta). I will say this, for me, my quality of life in Europe is far more better than here in America which is why I am making a permanent transition. The food is natural, healthy, and does not contain all the chemicals and preservatives like in America. You wouldn't believe how tomatoes, olives and basil taste in Greece. The toxic food supply in the USA is harming American and it's only getting worst by the day. The US healthcare system is an embarrassment and has imploded because of private equity firms, greed and the malicious pharmaceutical industry. Americans criticize the NHS program in the UK, but guess what, all UK residents have access to healthcare and they are not forced into bankruptcy due to high unaffordable medical bills. Most European countries have a much better health care system. Also, I walk more everyday and have a better social - community with authentic, like-minded people who are laid back and not stressed, anger, bitter, anxious and depressed. Another positive note, there is no hyper-consumption in Europe like in the USA. I see there are a lot of derogatory and negative comments on this platform, but my advice to those who are considering visiting or moving abroad, remember that it's your life to do as you please. Stop believing that lie that the USA has the best of everything to offer. Go explore! Prepare yourself, be vigilant and enjoy your own life ❤❤❤

If one has financial freedom, meaning you have enough money or resources therefore that person can go anywhere on this planet. there are other countries that can offer a better quality of life, meaning less stress, better climate, healthier foods, more affordable lifestyle etc. unfortunately if America is the only place you know and without the finances, then it will be almost impossible to leave,

I’m looking at the slower pace of life, fresher and more natural foods. The cost of living appeals a lot. In most cases, I can live off my SS alone. That is very appealing to me! Throw in my pension and it’s very comfortable living. But part of reasons for leaving is for my peace of mind.

Hi Richard, if I can add my 2 cents to the conversation. Yes there are a lot of black people moving to other countries and loving it. They are moving for all the reasons you mentioned, but I believe the boggiest elephant in the room is wealth building. By continually saving and investing their money that’s earned from a stronger US dollar. Moving to another country requires one to already be a good steward of their money. All the countries mentioned require someone to bring something to the table, such as their own finances. To get residency in other countries proving financial solvency is necessary. You must come being able to financial take care of yourself without needed a job, or draining the country of there resources. Retirement, investment income, or an online job based in the US can allow one to live in another country and the lower cost of living that can help with saving and investment goals !!!

We spend our money on things trying to impress people who can careless if you live or die. Also this may sound mean, but 80% of us just don’t want to work. You want everything handed to you. We as people have to get rid of that plantation mindset. What I mean by that is the government will give you the free benefits like food stamps and insurance. @dabears5989 I'm not broke, I'm just not out of touch to see the bs and the games being played with us as a people. Why do we have to work harder for something Joe Schmo was given easily? Trumps Cabinet is a good example of this... they scream "merit," but all I see is unqualified wyt folks who were given positions to get them ahead. People get tired of playing a rigged game, man. Not to mention the mental games all these other folks play on these jobs with black folks...it can downright be demonic. Black folks love to make a little money and forget the unnecessary obstacles they had to go through that Conner and them didn't have to go through to get the same thing.

Before making and spreading wild statements like that out to public. You need to specify what nationality of "Black People" are leaving. . Foundational Black Americans don't flee.. We have stake and birthright into this nation by blood and Aboriginal indigenous ancestry. The African nations some our ancestors came from do not exist anymore do to colonialism. Many of today's African nations are clear to let Foundational Black Americans know we are not wanted on there. This is also the reason they refuse to grant specifically us Black Americans dual citizenship.

I recommend Ghana 🇬🇭 for you as most African Americans, Caribbeans etc are relocating here on their ancestral land.

Who chooses the life they grew up in? Their parents, neighborhoods, and school experience? How it's reacted to determines that outcome. Who comes looking for racism? It makes sense to do either leave or stay dependent upon your income or savings. Also future outlook. I know plenty of blue collar workers in my line of work to understand immigration and immigrants.

I left for the Middle East in 2014 came back during the pandemic to get some things together and been living in Thailand for the past three years and don't plan to live there again. My mental health is fine but we all know that other people in the States are not fine mentally and that then becomes the problem. The U.S. is great for wealth building but it's also great for consumerism. We are always chasing something there. Living in Thailand is amazing and what you think you need to live in the States you don't need a fraction here. So, then it becomes being able to save and invest because your overhead is low and you can live well. I could go on lol

It already has. The insane amount of racism in school is getting worse. My nephew talks about how racist some kids are in school and the teachers do nothing about it.

Leaving because many of us realize there are better places to live outside of the United Snakes of America. Healthier foods, fair governments, and just an overall better-quality of living.
