Woah, Luke slayed those solos! 🤘👏 I love watching The Happy Fits live like this, it really highlights the passion they have for music.
RIP
“Well” is an as of yet unrecorded song by The Happy Fits that they frequently perform at live shows. From a UA-cam livestream, drummer Luke Davis said:
“Well” is forever a live song. Probably ‘cause we played it almost every single show in the first two years."
Are you that guy who comments the meaning of songs on like EVERY video I’ve ever watched? Cool! We have the same music taste.
(especially tally hall)
I wish they would do more songs were Luke had a main vocal part, I feel his vocals are underrated and underused
Well
It was an enigmatic kinematic supersonic crazy commotion
Well the kids, they line the schoolyard with some fine flags ready to burn
I didn't know my music had this kind of emotion
Well we made it in our hometown but we still have many lessons to learn
Well they're yelling and they're screaming like they wanna see me dead
Telling me to sing a song I wrote inside my bed
But they won't hurt you
No no, they ain't gonna hurt you
Well we can write, write, write till the end of the night
Play the kind of music that everyone likes
And it'd be nice, nice, nice to be serving ourselves
But when I play this kind of music well I just cannot help it
Hey-ey, hey-ey. hey-ey
Hey-ey, hey-ey. hey-ey

Well they're running and they're screaming like they wanna see me dead
Telling me to play a song I wrote inside my bed
But they won't hurt you
No no, they ain't gonna hurt you
And we can jive, jive, jive till the end of the night
And we can play this kind of music and everyone laughs so
Don't be [?] tell you myself
But when I play this kind of music well I'm mostly myself
Hey-ey, hey-ey. hey-ey
Hey-ey, hey-ey. hey-ey
"Well" has been stuck in my head for the last five days. Gotta see them live in Dallas!
So great, but I audibly gasped and leaned back in my chair when he threw his bow- the poor guy :((
