In N'Gombi, Nigeria, British District Commissioner R.G. Sanders (Leslie Banks) oversees various tribes. Discovering that a Liberian native, Bosambo (Paul Robeson), has been acting as chief without approval, Sanders nevertheless is impressed by Bosambo's skills and allows him to remain chief. With Sanders' aid, Bosambo holds off an attack by rebel Mofolaba, and for the next five years peace reigns at the river. However, when Sanders heads to England to marry, Mofolaba returns, vowing revenge. *******************************************************************************************************

She was absolutely beautiful
You can tell where Dorothy Dandridge got the look from in Tarzan's Peril. It seems to me as if she was greatly influenced by Nina Mae McKinney

SaysSo Snippet!!
Ash brought me here
She was of average 'beauty'..
Keep in mind....she actually really.looks that way unlike the ai filtered actors and actresses of today and then for that time she's very bright colored with a certain type of hair and features that make her lean ambiguous. So i do agree with you but then in another way i don't. When we compare beauty from that time set still.in more realisim than today with super advance surgery and non evasive surgery options...along with make up and hair products that simply didn't exist....it seems average to our very desensitized eyes. But she was a very beautiful woman.
@@ImpressDivinity I understand what you mean. Natural beauty is 'true' beauty to me. I have never been a fan of 'makeup' never...if you're not a beauty without it, you merely appear 'beautifully painted over' with it.
@@shellie5617 that is soooo true and ppl have forgotten that. I feel like ppl really prefer fake over anything real at this time in history.
That's your opinion
@@Jossette888 yes, it is merely my opinion. Nothing more than that.
She was much too white looking to play such a role! Omg poor thing..
No, she wasn't. She was actually the color of a cooper penny. There are Africans with that complexion. Black and white films made people look lighter.
We come in so many different shades
,@lisagrl89 M. What are you talking about?
I understand what Lisa is saying. I’m thinking she means facial features not just skin color. If history serves true. We did not come in all different shades until the Colonization/slavery periods. If you look at some of the old slave photos, we had very strong broad features to included black skin and that’s probably were the term black/Negro came from. She was born in 1912. Just looking at her facial features she most likely had some European ancestry.
@@LalaLarrieux Yes..and there are Ethiopians who look Italian or Hispanic as well...
Same @Ashleysayso sent me
