I don’t do leeches lol but amazed at the skin shed, I thought it’d just grow without shedding 😲
So adorable 🥰 I’ve always wanted a leech. Great video! I like the final set up, looks good. Wonderful song btw. I like how energetic you are in your vids.
Cheers for the plug. The video were working on is going to be epic
Look forward to it
just love it, also the way you bring it to all of us!
Truly appreciate your kind words, I would love to help break down the stigma attatcheb to them, admittedly it's something I always had a negative opinion on but they really are strangely fascinating.
I love your opener 😂😂. The set up is amazing mate I like the way it looks it is a nice easy set up too and he is so cool to watch on your hand
Leeches are the best fish bait... lovem
I'll stick to keeping mine as a pet, I haven't fished in years
The enclosure looks awesome, I love the decorations you've used. Still not sold on the idea of a Leech, but there's no denying the fact that they're fascinating little creatures. You're videos are always entertaining and informative, and I always finish them with a smile on my face. The fact that you add a little silliness and humour only makes them better. Keep it up
Very much appreciated, always great to feel that I can bring some joy or even a smile to someone's face. Love the feed back, been trying a few new things and I think it's making the vids better
I genuinely love this video! Still not completely sold on leeches though lol
Cheers dude, just want them to be fun but educational (at times lol) maybe make people think more positively about animals that are otherwise villainised
@@TheInvertabarian well you're doing a cracking job mate
Fullish!
they are interesting, i have alot of small ones in my pond, not the same species as yours but still cool to see.
Knowledge takes the fear away imo, i was scared of so many inverts but when you learn about them you'll see them in a different way and changes fear into fascination, that's how i experience it :)
Nice video and...pump huehuehue
Hee hee lol 😉
Nice vid bud. Leaches are actually very interesting creatures if people take the time to appreciate them
Oh no no no, eurgh leech lol. They are worse than centipedes but that tank is really great 👍.
I see wooly spider 😉. Love seeing them .
They are odd but strangely interesting. I'm building a nice wee collection on that unit, thank you again for wooly spider 😁
@@PeppersnGlowworms
Me?
Why was i rude? I just dont like them
@@PeppersnGlowworms ohhh 🤣. Its early ,my mistake lol. I wouldnt dare be rude to leech anyway it might suck all me blood 🥺, 😋
Aloo dude.
Cool video,.like the setup Adam.
Nice holy jug.!!!
Looks really fun 😎😎
Awesome little critter. Still not 100% sure if I should get one tho... also loved the leech song. Definitely made me laugh
Definitely, if nothing else it's worth it for people's reactions when you tell them lol
I was waiting for a leech update sooo cool
Well tada lol, glad you enjoyed it
Great Video
Mission accomplished! :D :D :D
Nice video
Loved the video especially the little guitar piece 😂😂 I'm afraid although cuteish i dont fancy a leech love the set up you gave him or her though 👌👌👌 the widows are doing great btw i put a little feeding clip on my channel of 1 of the females taking down a red runner bigger than her amazing little spiders they are
The widows are incredible when it comes to taking down prey. Should be coloring up by now
@@TheInvertabarian yep their are the females look amazing and 1 of them laid a sac phantom obviously
What’s that thing you use to stand stuff outside of water?
I’ve been spending about 5 days making small slopes and rifts in the side of the tank using silicon glue, takes a day for it to dry enough to add more to it and 2 days before you should add water, I wait a extra day just to be safe ^^
I have some sand I thought about mixing into the glue to give it more solid shape to mold into and to give the glue more surface area ^^
I don’t trust that lid a whole lot... especially when the leech thins out from her buffet, you can use cotton cloth and a rubber band to suffice ^^ it’s very safe, just make sure you close it all the way around
I used a couple suckers with hooks originally then just balanced the takeaway tub lid on the big rock, put the decor on and surrounded it with pebbles to hide the plastic, east to take apart and clean.
The lid is mesh with acrylic sheet fitted with ventilation holes, the acrylic is secured with zip ties and fits snug, it's weighted down just to be sure. Would love to your set up
ive heard you can get infections from them is that true npt a critism just honest question
you can (and probably will) get an infection from any wound if not taken care of properly.
Is aquarium Gravel okay to use? I’m gonna put in some larger and medium stones too but I didn’t know if the gravel is okay
If they're smooth, not rough and pointy. Having some rocks/pebbles actually help with them removing their skin a bit easier
As said yes it's fine, it's recommended they have some decorations to run against as above said.
I love leeches and wanted to get one and had no idea about roughage because I have seen so many people just put a leech in a jar! Thanks for this AWESOME video! Now I have info to give a leech a happier home! What sort of water do you use? I read that plain distilled and tap are bad for a leech?
I get a low chlorinated bottle of water from the supermarket. Still spring water. And yeah they need to shed so its advisable to give them something to help cast off that old skin. They are really unusual pets to own and a great conversation piece lol. Thank you for watching, hope it helps you on your way
@@TheInvertabarian Thanks so much! I'm going to do my best :)
👍🌴
I found two fresh water leeches on aquarium plants I purchased. If I keep them together will they reproduce? How am I sure not to breed them?
I know that many species such as the ones I keep need a land area, usually a basket filled with moss to lay cocoons in, without a land area they don't lay. However I'm unsure if this is true of all species
@@TheInvertabarian would you like two more? I can send them.
@@justinelunzer6812 Im not sure I have anything to put them in but I'm sure I could find something 🤣
@@TheInvertabarian I will actually send them if you will take them. 😁
@@justinelunzer6812 yeah that's fine, I'll sort something 🤔😳😁🤣
Numpty 🤣🤣
