zoeynot101 Pretty much. Then the Catholic Church would institute some of his changes centuries later, with the exception of the whole sola scriptura and sola fide thing.
Mike signs Sola fide was the doctrine that one could receive God’s grace solely through faith in God and his son; not through works. Sola scriptura stated that God’s Will was entirely set out in the scripture.
Mike signs Basically, The Catholic Church accuses Luther of being a heretic. Luther accuses the church of defying God’s purpose, created his own church, translates the Bible to German, stirs up a bunch of peasants into a revolt (it doesn’t end well for the peasants), then you have the Protestant reformation resulting in over a century of fighting between European kingdoms over which version of Christianity was right.

The part where he corresponds with his friends about the state of his poo is where it gets a little weird...

German Nazis held Luther in great esteem- The "Martin Luther Memorial Church" (Martin-Luther-Gedächtniskirche), which was built in Berlin from 1933 to 1935 included a pulpit that showed the Sermon on the Mount with a Stahlhelm-wearing Wehrmacht soldier listening to Jesus and a baptismal font which featured an SA stormtrooper.

It's exactly what I am saying. This clip shows (16th century-)Germans speaking to other Germans. Their language among each other would have been perfect and not accented . Yet they are portrayed as speaking with an idiotic accent. It's native english speakers that need to grow a backbone and get used to the fact that because english is an international language and spoken by most people -but in a stunted and imperfect way - doesn't mean that we are not perfectly able to speak our own languages.
@Bobby Banana Exactly because it is aimed at children it should not portray people who speak another language as being ridiculous by making them speak to each other in badly accented English.
