It is totally wild to me how people seem to forget that it was Israel that was invaded, not the other way around. And certain people who shall not be named here have spent 18 years and billions of dollars on destruction instead of building good stuff for their people. I’ll leave it at that.
Of course Israel will not win but I think it should. Apart from any politics and other stuff, this balad is so powerful it made me cry. It’s absolutely beautiful and Eden has a fantastic voice. Based on what I have seen, she will totally be able to sing this as beautifully at the contest.
I think Israel is gonna win. It's war, perfect song, beautiful lyrics, vocals are served, she's gorgeous. Perfect Eurovision material. 😂 I just hope something will NOT happen to her performance. Malmö has 86% of Arabs. 😢 We in Europe are aware of them and what they're capable of.

In a way , I'm kinda glad the competition committee forced neutralizing any shade of political reference, bc it allows the song to speak to a universal struggle of being in a middle of a crisis with your loved ones hanging between heavens and earth, life and death. Tho, Her personal tragedy here, does fuels this song with a massive boost

A hurricane that started on murdiring innocent kids, rap*ing innocent girls, and kidnapping 250 peaple, including babies, by Hamas.

You know what? I've been thinking about this song a lot ever since it was published, and I think that it couldn't have been this perfect and powerful without all that has happened (unfortunately, but this is how ot is) - October 7th, the world one-sided reaction, the EBU forcing to change the lyrics, all of those made this song what it is today, and it's gorgeous. This is the perfect example for the phrase "what doesn't kill us makes is stronger".

I love hurricane so much I cry everytime I hear this song. It's in memory of the nova angels, young and happy people who came to a music festival to dance but nevet came back. In a hamas terrorists attack, they were raped, murdered and kidnapped. The powerful message of the song is- we will dance again 🇮🇱❤🎗

I can't speak for Eden but I think a song of this power and magnitude can only happen when you are suffering immense pain. There would be no reason to create such a song if Israel weren't going through this hurricane. It isn't about the win.

It is sad that if it was the song of any other country it would be a leading candidate to win the competition, but because it is Israel it is not certain that they will even make it to the finals. The competition is political and repulsive
i do think it will make it to the final. it depends on the stage and performance honestly. but yes i do see israel being judged by the public for whats happening
Yeah, kind of absurd the EBU doesn’t allow to sing about anything that even slightly considered as political but the votes and decision making are all about the politics.
Is singing about the pain of loosing someone who went on a music fastival and was murdured political? The pain is real and she does speak for a wounded nation. You dont have to pick sides to know this pain is real.

In Hebrow rows Eden said to the God that the Juwish people even in very hard times (the Holocost and a lot of wars), even if it hard to see, see that the God leaves them one small light (meaning hope for good future.
The song has a very strong message. We see the hole Eden's top. That mean hole made by bullet (remaining people's that were killed at October 7.
The dancers are remaining the dancer at Nova party. Hundreds of them cruely murdered, raped and tooked as hostagests to Gaza.
Hurricane means "the war".

Well, putting politics aside is important and valuable, however calling it a "situation" while forgetting what started the war is a bit of hypocrisy.
not at all! This war started many years ago and never ended! In some periods, the tension is higher than usual thats factual. This channel is all about Eurovision and not about analyzing wars :)
@@DFershow Well, I happen to be very familiar with the region. From a factual perspective only, the current war is a war on terrorism and has nothing to do with the ongoing regional conflict. When terrorists attack a country, it has to respond. Simple.
If it was only about Eurovision, you wouldn't have to provide the disclaimer you did.
@Adamulti my “disclaimer” is factual. at no point I shared my opinion about whats going on! It would be very idiotic not to talk about whats going on, in a factual way, cause whats going on will have a effect on the vote!

What Israel is doing is fighting back a war it didn't start. We don't want this war and we never did. We want nothing more that hamas to surrender and have peace with gaza. Every death of innocent people at this war is tragic, and hamas is to fault for each and every one.

Well as you are aware alot of countries dont want Isreal in this year's competition. Its so disappointing that politics get mixed with music!
The song is pretty. But you cant say "put the politics aside" when the song is "political" itself, the song was supposed to called "october rain" which says it all. I completly agree, if the song was related to something historic event it would be okay. but it is not. And this participation is even tributed by the President of Israel who conviced the broadcaster to change the lyrics "less direct politics" in order to participate. As EBU stated "ESC is not a contest for governments".
ALSO you are refering 30 thousands people killed and an occuring starvation of 2 million people as "political". But on the other hand the massacre 7/10 shouldn't be considered as "political"? THat is the main issue, People's lives shouldnt be political.
ASwell many Israelis are ignorant (prove me wrong) about innocent civilians even existing in gaza, when there is 2 million people and dehumanizing them. You need to learn how to distingush between Hamas and Palestinians. The same way as you don't judge a whole nation by its situation, like Russia, as all Russians are "Putin supporter".
If you fail to see that you really have problems with yourself, love and unity, which is when you should take the stairs off the stage. The only one who is in charge of the war intensitivty and progress is Israel. There were plenty of hostage relase deals which were refused!

1.) Eden Golan isn't Russian. She's Israeli. Her parents were Ukranian and Latvian. She lived in Russia for a few years when her father's work took them there. And then they returned at the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
2.) "Many Israelis are ignorant (prove me wrong)." As the person making a claim about something, the burden of proof actually falls on you. But I will say that I don't know a single person personally in Israel who does not understand that there are innocent civilians in Gaza. I will say however, that there will be definitely some difficulty in determining who is innocent or not at the end of the war, since many civilians broke into Israel during the third wave of the attack on October 7th (as even stated by the UN during their most recent investigation). So, how do you determine which of these civilians took part in the murder, destruction, looting, torture, and kidnapping, and which did not? I'm sure once the war is over, there will be investigations into those civilians who took part and are guilty. Are there people in Israel who blame everyone? Absolutely. There are crazy people everywhere, and there are also people who make stupid statements in anger, but speak differently once they've calmed down. But this is hardly the majority.
3.) Even with this difficulty, the IDF is extremely cautious during their operations, in trying to protect as many civilians as possible. They even have one of the lowest Urban Warfare civilian to combat death ratios in the world (1-2:1 as compared to the world average of around 9-10:1).
4.) Israel works hard every day to get as much humanitarian aid as possible to the civilians of Gaza. There is more food going into Gaza than at any other time in it's history. If there is starvation in Gaza, it is due to two main reasons: firstly, that Hamas steals as much food as they can, even to the point where they shoot at their own civilians to prevent them from taking food. This has resulted in a couple of riots by Gazans against Hamas (not against Israel). Secondly, due to the fact that this is an active warzone, some areas are more difficult to get supplies to. People in these areas are not getting enough supplies. Many countries (including Israel) on working on solutions to this, but it is not easy. War is messy.
Hey JulianErikson! This channel is about Eurovision and not about analyzing wars etc etc. I briefly spoke about the war cause its obviously a hot topic but I don’t want to end up talking about it. I had the opportunity to understand better this conflict and war between IS and Palestine when I filmed in both places and its so complicated that its very hard for us to form a fair opinion.

@@DFershow the problem is that Human’s lives shouldnt even be a political matter, for either side. i said many israeli are, not all. Already misunderstood the comment. There are plenty of organizations that are in Israel who are protesting and speaking out against genocide and this war, I am aware of that and i follow these accounts. Whenever a Israeli speak out about it they get called a «self hating jew» or aThey face huge democratic violations being harrassed, arrested etc. its close to russia’s free speech rights.
Of course it is a super complicated situation the most in the world, which is why it shouldnt have a spot in eurovision for gaining sympathy, an shoyld focus on liberating their own people from apartheid (you who been there clearly should have a image of that) and occupation of palestinians.
Its not political its about delivering the emotion that we felt and there is nothing wrong with it.
