Hi, i'm considering getting one of these little welders for a project. What are the requirements of the shield plastic/ glass that I will need to buy. I've seen some sites online talk about uv protection being the only requirement. Do you know if that's right?
It is infrared radiation. The auto dimming lense would be great. If you're not welding a lot, you can also look through a smart phone or tablet. It will protect your eyes. You lose depth perception looking through them, but it's a matter of getting used to it.
