Thank his daughter! She is a huge reason we are able to see bits we haven’t before. Please buy his books, a lot of these bits are in his later books he made in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
Idk, you can only have so much introspection. He seemed happy earlier in his career and despised humanity in the end. If his body hadn't killed him his mind would have
I was a teen in the 80’s. My mom bought the cassette tape called A Place for my Stuff. We’d play it with our neighborhood friends and it was hysterical. No video, just sound. He was and still is incredible.
When I was about 9 or 10, I discovered a cassette of "Occupation: Foole" sitting inside the old console stereo that sat lifeless in our living room. You know the ones, the major piece of furniture with the 20 lb mahogany lid and (probably) rotating leslie speaker? Anyhoo, I had just received the newest gadget of the day - a Sony Walkman(!) and was curious what was on this tape with the goofy cover. Man! My life changed that day. I am convinced to this very day that my dad left it there intentionally for me to find, though at the time I was deathly afraid of getting caught with it. I grew up in a small Mormon town in Utah, and I think he knew that some slightly subversive humor was just what I needed. In a very real way, George Carlin taught me to think, and he is forever a part of who I am. And as I just returned from driving my son to the store (dealing with the idiots and maniacs, respectively), this clip was inexplicably in my UA-cam feed. As I sat watching, I came to a startling realization: did George teach me how to DRIVE, too?!
Immortality is being remembered by people that would never have known you ever lived and having them teach the youth about you is living forever, George you did it before anyone else that you ever knew, !!! LOL.
In past years, I loved George Carlin. Now as he pops up on my iPhone, I left myself silly! Everyone of his comedy routines resonates in her 2024 world! I wish we could bring him back!
It's because his level of success put him regularly in the room with the world's decision makers and over the decades he became disillusioned by humanity's ugliness
The older material still was critical, and against the grain. He is saying things that are still irreverent, but we are also missing bits from this special too! He was always criticizing the white, rich, middle and upper class and the pussified baby boomers. Read his books, and dig deeper. He was not that light when you really think about it.
I love that you're finally active on this channel again and posting more of his old clips! Please post the Uncle Dave bit next or any thing from Doin It Again, Back In Town, or Life Is Worth Losing next! (my 3 favorite Carlin specials lol)
George Carlin is the very best at stand up. He simply is, not was, but is hilarious!! Yes, there are so many excellent ones, Newhart, Rickles, Seinfeld, Pryor, Iglesias, Johnson-Reyes, Williams, so many others, but Mr Carlin tops my list!
Carlin on Campus is a true classic special. It’s got a great intro where George is the class clown then the special starts. This whole section is great, along with his water table, he calls his office. “If this is my job, it’s gotta be my office.” 😂 there’s a great bit about how we call people assholes behind their backs. And of course, the finale… Ratshit, batshit, dirty old twat! 69 assholes tied in a knot! Hooray! Lizard shit! *FUCK!*
I remember I bought the cassette tape of "Carlin On Campus." Funny how there's so much of this video I remember and know what he's going to say. 😆😆 Like "AND THE GODDAMN RADIO IS THIS LOUD." 😆😆😆😆
Ohhh, the memory! In my late teens early 20s we all had sports cars. Supra, 300ZX, RX7, and the station wagon. My Supra was a manual and buddies 300ZX was automatic... Think you see where this is going. 😆We were out at a place that had consoles you could play like Sega, Playstation and Nintendo ( just setting up how old this is ) We had a few drinks and buddy didn't feel comfortable driving, I was like, hold my beer, I got this. As we left the parking lot I dumped the clutch, shifted and floored it driving my face straight into the steering wheel!
One of the best humorists ever. I was around to buy his first album. It wasn't till much later when he started opining about politics that he was questionable.
His delivery is like Robin Williams in the early days . Witty quick . His word play is genius like Mitch Headberg. He’s cynical like Bill Burr. It’s like he’s all these great comedians into one. He’s the goat
Hello there, thank you for amazing video, Im always excited when a new video shows up. Can you upload the complete show "On Campus 1984". or reference to a source?

"Have you noticed that everyone driving slower than you is an idiot?" And everyone driving faster than me is an asshole, yeah. 😂 I try to fight those impulses. With varying degrees of success. XD
I remember two guys in high school who were close to him, now ' close ' is all in the mind of who is both like me a fellow student of an " Idiot " or " Maniac ", or like many here and there, had to DEAL with those two and I can picture them in many places, ( I can also picture those that lived there and asked often, " Who the hell is/are in the car ahead of us " ? !!!. LOL If any of you had to really deal with one or both, ' I understand how you feel I really do ' Think about the family they grew up with LOL.
lol i live at boarder there is 1 truck semi lane then car lane for crossing then turning then finally i can get out when there is huge lines i got ppl thinking im cutting the line trying to get to my driveway
Carlin would've been like "You like the felon so much, keep him. But you gotta stop pointing fingers now. Not aliens, not minorities, not women. It's aaaall on you now."
it is cheapest reliable solution for regular 4 door car. You can have scissor door mods and some exotic cars have those from factory or gullwing doors, those require the roof to be specific shape and strength, so the car is pretty much designed around having gullwing doors. Both suffer from mechanical fails of shock absorbers and other additional mechanic parts and stress the hinges more (requiring tougher pricier hinges). So buy a lambo, you will have vertical opening doors right from the factory.
Holy shit. A Carlin segment I’ve never seen before.
Today is a good day
A good day for all! We're happy to bring you something new.
@ thanks guys. Great to see new segments being uploaded to the channel
Carlin on Campus is a great special; solid from start to finish.

It's not one of his best.
Carlin On Campus was my introduction to his comedy and I've been quoting him since. Daily. Never forgotten.
My favorite bit by him was his prison overcrowding solution
Especially in today's world, which he was talking about. A Prophet!
I’ve been quoting Carlin since before I even heard his comedy.
“What?” -George Carlin
I don't hear many people talking about Carlin on Campus but I think it's one of his best.
That was the first HBO Special I watched! Classic ❤
This might be peak Carlin to me.
Especially when you consider the Cocaine must've been.. well.. firing on all cylinders.😏
This was the third HBO special that I watched!
It’s damn good! But I think You Are All Diesed is his best. Jammin’ in New York is a close second.
@@matthewdubay1180I prefer You are All Diseased. Never heard of You are All Deciesed. I'll look it up. Thanks!
Nailed it. As usual. Carlin is talking about people. This will never get old.
Definitely, miss George! Thanks for all the gut-busters😊
...I sure miss George....I can just imagine what he would have to say about things today....
I can. I do and it gets me in trouble in crowds that don't speak Carlin. For the fun of it I throw in a bit of Williams.
Probably the same things he predicted. ✌️
Omg 😳😳😳 what would he think
We miss you George 😢

George, miss you! Thx for all the laughs 😁☮️
Thanks for posting this. Rest in Laughs, George. GOAT, you are missed! ♥
He did all this with just a chair. Just a master of his craft.
He really was a master of using his body, face and even a chair! Thanks for tuning in ✌️
This King will live forever.
I saw this on VHS as a teenager in the 80's, and it really shaped my sense of humor. A true talent without peer.
I was a teen in the 80’s. My mom bought the cassette tape called A Place for my Stuff. We’d play it with our neighborhood friends and it was hysterical. No video, just sound. He was and still is incredible.
His pretend radio station changing sounds sure brings back memories 😂
Doesn't it? Weird to think that a lot of people won't get that moment.
I surenly do 😂😂 but that just because I drive ole pieces of 💩😂
The little purple never goes away, classic George Carlin, I miss you so much😢😂😂😂👍😎💙🇺🇦🇨🇦
You were so lucky to have known him.

Retired teacher here! George Carlin held a teaching certificate for NYC! He would have been an amazing teacher! IMHO🤔🤔🤔😉😉😉👩🏫👩🎓👩🎓🤗🤗
Thank you! And thank you for your years doing one of the most important jobs ✌️
He -WAS- an amazing teacher. ... George Carlin was an Intellectual Juggernaut.
He's my favorite philisopher.

The older material was so much lighter in spirit and sentiment
I agree. Familiarity breeds contempt.
It's what happens when you have decades of continuous downhill societal behavior, makes you bitter
