Well get you one of these little cheap fuel pumps and it's working like a charm. You can pump just the fertilizer through or adjust the water to the amount you wish. Just don't let the bucket run dry or it will burn your pump out.

I knew you was intelligent when you had on overalls. I hooked a 12v pump to my injector for the same reason . But I switched to the piston type injector.
Thanks for the comment, that fuel pump worked all summer while it was getting used on a regular basis but soon as I stopped using it) even though I flushed it) the little pump stopped working.
So, I'm actually changing it up again. A video will be out soon.,

The fuel pump worked great all last summer but as soon as I stopped using it (for a few weeks) the pump stopped working.
So this winter I came up with something I believe will be better.

very nice i will try this to bad i already ordered the 2.5 gallon ezflow tank . im running about 840 ft, of drip tape should have been enough tape to have good flow but couldnt get a drop of water out of the 5 gal. bucket or thru my sprinkler . thanks for your sharing this video ...i need to get my corn fertilized soon .
Well this works awesome, and you can adjust the water valves and inject slow or turn the water off and inject the fertilizer first then turn the water back on. Now I figure if I let it set too many days without running something through it the pump may rust and not work BUT sofar this season it has worked great.
Your a genius, I don’t know why I never thought about that pump pumping anything other than fuel. Do you think it will rust up since it’s a fuel pump and not a water pump?
It has been working great. You can used the valves to adjust the water flow and speed up or slow down how fast it empties the fertilize bucket.
Hi Papaw, have you tried elevating your 5 gal bucket higher than your injector tube so you get gravity flow into your system?

I have been thinking about a similar situation. I don't want to get into as much plumbing as you set up but did have an idea. Please tell me what you think of it. I want to get one of those five gallon water jugs with the 5-6 inch caps and fit a hose inlet to the top and an outlet to the bottom. I put my fertilizer in and set the jug up on some cinder blocks. Then I use the hose pressure to push the mix out to the plants. Think that would work? Am I missing anything?
It has to seal off and be airtight in order to do that and the other Issue is, it may be pushing all your fertilizer out first and going into the least resistant line / drip tape and not equally spreading it into all your drip lines. That is why I fill my line with water before turning on the injector pump to make sure it is equally getting into each line.

The Venturi has to have a lot of water going out to work correct.
If your like me with my little garden, there is not enough drip tape to have enough out flow for it to work.

How do you make sure the fertilizer is not pulled into the city water supply system ???
Do you have a back flow prevention valve ???
I do have a back flow prevention valve at my cutoff valve coming to the garden.
The venturi you had before has to be for a "Drip Irrigation system".. You buy them based on the flow. Cheaper to use the 12 volt pump to be honest. The dang things are $30 to $50 or more..
Yes, the pump works much better. The fuel pump worked all summer while I was using it often but once I stopped using it, the pump stop working. ( even though I was flushing it with clean water, I figure it rusted inside) so now I up graded from a fuel pump to a small pump like goes on a 10 gallon sprayer.
@@papawsplace Wonder if a light oil run thru the pump when you get ready to store the pump would save it?

What your thoughts about fish fertilizer and how can I make a tea for a small city garden in an urban cituacion? any tips?
I think fish fertilizers work well, I would just bury fish scrapes under my plants , as per making tea I've never made any because it will smell really bad I think.
what happens when the bucket runs out or do you sit there and watch it and turn off the pump so it dont run dry

I cold not find the link to the pump but i have a pump here that i use on my recirculating waterer for my 🐔. Would that work? Its a 12v water circulation pump.
