no, consistency matters a lot in Olympia. Victor Martinez only once brought a physique that was perhaps a little better than Jay Cutler. But Jay was always bringing a physique that would place him at number 1 or 2. That is how he defeated Ronnie Coleman. So Victor had to be much much better than Jay to defeat him. Just a little better and only once is not going to do it against Cutler who had proved himself multiple of times. Arnold and Ronnie also won at least one Olympia where somebody else might have been a little better than them. The judges are always going to give the benefit of doubt to the someone who has proved himself. The story is the same with Kai Greene and Phil Health.

Ronnie himself said that Victor was the next Mr O, unfortunately the injuries and accidents Victor's career to take an unusual turn, after that his legs never grew, and his career was got short !
Jay is no doubt a legend in the game…. And a really nice guy as well…. 2007 was Victors year for Mr O. Not sure why he didn’t get it but it has to probably still haunt him till this day.
