Great approach because as you know trying to get Vapi to understand an email is a challenge, great video a build. Just a tip you can put the {{now}} reference in your Vapi script at the beginning which will give Vapi the current time and date then you don’t need a workflow for the current time. Hello Jesper great detailed video thank you, I have been watching lots of videos about VAPI and Make automations I just want to understand a couple of things, if we are creating the assistant on the fly why do we need to provide assistant ID? or are we just creating the same assistant with just some custom variables for the a given lead? also if we use asistant ID does that mean if the linked number is being used to call a lead it cannot be used for another lead therefore only lead can be called at any given time?
@@abdi14 Hi abdi, great question. Some of the developing decisions in this video are to make it more clear for the audience. The assistant we generate on the fly is for the outbound calls and we dynamically change the model with our variables using the assistantoverride paramater. Since we override an existing assistant, you won't have to worry about calling capacity. We're using the existing one as a "template" for making calls.
