I too went to Gatanga in 2010, I wanted to see...we left Nairobi at 7AM...I had a Prado and driver and I followed the Asst Minister's convoy and I must say it was a good day and I was very impressed. An AP officer told me in the MP's compound, that here if you are given transfer kutoka kwa PK unalia na wengi ukatalia hapa!
PK wouldn't still make it for Governor. Not for Nbi. Not for Muranga. The ordinary Kenyan voter is not ready for leadership, only politics. That's why Tuju was dropped and Waiguru defeated Karua. That's why Saitoti and Ojode are dead and Msando is no more. That's why Uhuruto are in the presidency and Raila is still relevant in Kenyan politics. We only complain in words but our actions or inactions are quite different. We are simply not ready for change, except by lip service
Jalas, I kinda grilled you a little bit recently on how you talked about those in diaspora, in a nice way😊. I however am your biggest fan, and I 💯 agree with you on Peter Kenneth’s story/encounters. If Kenyans truly wants change, then we should follow some of these long time politicians to the constituencies they presented prior, to know if they can truly deliver. People like Peter Kenneth, Tuju, and a FEW others delivered to their constituents greatly! The bad part, Kenyans are easily swayed by the big boys, tribalism, and group mentality to an extent that they’d rather “ wang’iyo gi sandruok wa,” than have someone who truly cares for them. Hawajajua hawajui! We have opted to electing leaders who come to us as wolves, than trying those who at least disguise themselves. In that case, kiumane tu! Jalas, I’ve been in your shoes many a times, and sometimes seeing friends who seems so reasonable argue for a politician just because he/she is their tribes person, even when they are so wrong, makes me wonder if we’re ever going to wake up one day to build Kenya as “we the people.” We’d rather it burns and start afresh. What a costly way to go!
I totally agree with you Jalas Peter Kenneth is a true patriot
From Gatanga and can attest to what Jalas is saying...how i wish he can be Nairobis governor
