I am now 80 years old and when I look over my life I realize that my faith in God and adherence to my deep rooted Christian principles, never wavering from my core beliefs, has ensured my well being all along the way.
To you poor hopeless guys that don't believe. Good luck in eternity, you will need it. If he is wrong and you are right, he loses nothing. If he is right and you are wrong, you lose everything. Choose wisely, you will remember this forever. It will haunt your every thought as you perish.
You can be a Stoic with or without god. It is about self reliance, self discipline. If belief in god helps you great but it is not essential to Stoicism. It is an ethical system that does not depend on religion and it illustrates humanistic values at their best. Here atheist and Christian can find values we all can share and that is priceless. As a 69 year old atheist woman I can tell you Stoicism aligns with my life experience and helps me to face challenges with strength and equanimity. It assures us we can face hard truths without comforting self deceptions, embrace change and accept fate, without despair. I love what Seneca says about loss, that we should not say I have lost, but that I have returned (it, him, or her). Nothing is really ours, so we can’t really lose anything. When are old, you should say I have lived, when you go to bed, and be grateful for your life. Each new day is a gift and not taken for granted.

Poverty scares me. Uncertainty, scares me too. Not knowing if I’ll be able to feed my child a hot meal tonight. Having to ration out food so that my little boy doesn’t eat up all of the peaches as if he’s trying to make up for the times when he didn’t have any. I don’t mind going without and calling it a fast but no parent would wish that on a child.
Really I tried so many way to understand what is life but today from ur help I understood what is life how live best possible life....like our real meaningfull inner feelings align with our thoughts and action...wonderful words.....I very thank full for effort for us...❤❤❤❤❤
