We were in Paris 2 years ago before the pandemic hits. Seeing all these bring back wonderful memories, especially the Galleries Lafayette with the beautiful stained glass dome. Wish we could go back to Paris soon.

hi bill and lisa, just thought I'd let you know that what you guys are raving about isn't a croissant, it's "pain du chocolat" translates to chocolate bread, basically it's a sweet loaf with chocolate baked into it... that's why it's so big and crunchy. wanted to tell you because you kept saying it's the best croissant but it's like comparing cupcakes to muffins :P

I haven't been to Paris , but the best pastry I have ever had is at bouchon in the Venetian and the Paris they have something called a kouign amann and it is flaky buttery goodness and the best part is I can get it right here in Las Vegas !! I heard about it years ago on cooking with the Neely's and it is their favorite pastry and I got to tell you they were right !! I had a job at the Paris yesterday and saw a new little cart of bouchon goodies and the line was so long I couldn't wait for it but next time I'm definitely going to get one !
