I have SUCH a problem with "boredom scrolling" and noticed I don't think as much as I used to. I don't allow myself time to be bored or think about anything. It's so refreshing to hear someone else talk about this!! Also you are gorgeous! So happy I found your channel!

I literally went outside without my phone for about 30 minutes because I could feel I was distracting myself with healthy escapism. I came inside & felt like watching a UA-cam video out of nowhere. I too, live remotely on a mountain. The isolation has been getting to me and looking to find inspiration by the people who actually choose to live like this so I can feel a little less shaken and more grounded like I use to when I first moved here. wow I really needed to hear this. The past few years I've spent a lot more time on my own, and it made me realize how much I love it and needed it. I've begun to understand quite a lot of things about myself. Younger me was always afraid to be judged by doing things alone, and I didn't allow myself to do things that I've always wanted to do, because I was relying on people around me. Everyone should at least give a try, and feel your own presence❤

Definitely an ocean girl through-and-through but honestly any body of water feels amazing to me! I am excited to explore more rivers & lakes this year as well and enjoy the more deserted/"not touristy" spots!

I’m also 100% a river girl. :) I live in Switzerland, so we don’t have a coast and I don’t like lakes because of the whole seaweed stuff that grows in them. But we have the pretties river of Switzerland (in my opinion) nearby where we can swim in the warmer months! This river is called „Aare“ and it’s a really big thing here in to swim in this river. It’s just my fav thing ever and I can’t imagine to not live near this river haha

interesting information about oil pulling. I also have receding gums and my dentists have never mentioned this. I'll probably give this a try
I’m just starting to go on this kind of journey. I live in Alaska near the ocean and the forest and I’ve always loved the idea of living off the land and being very independent. My whole family is trying to get closer to that ideal which is awesome but videos like yours are so helpful as we start out because there’s so much to learn but it’s also so much fun. I’m in the process of building a “cottage” (more like a tiny home but we call it the cottage haha) and it’s fun to see others living the way I hope to soon. Also, the FOOD in this video! So pretty I drooled.
Alaska is a place I have always wanted to visit, I definitely romanticized it a lot growing up. Have you been able to see the Northern Lights up there much?
@@emmalrobles I have seen them quite a bit, especially in the winter! When it’s dark it’s super easy to see them when driving to work or town or school in the morning. They’re so pretty!
It’s definitely harder to see them in the summer time since the sun stays up until 1 or 2 in the morning. You have to look really close when it gets darker.
Also, I’m more south in Alaska so we typically just get the green and yellow lights, but Fairbanks and other places up north get pinks and oranges and it’s so pretty.
@@selbyhill4905 wow, that is so so so special! I saw some at home her in NorCal this year which I never thought would happen and they were super faint but still so amazing. I couldn't imagine casually seeing them as I drove home, that is so so so special

I also film on a canon m50 but I’m not a big fan of the color, currently looking for a camera suggestion if you have one 😊
@@emmalroblesokay I love that you’re on your iPhone then bc it’s still beautiful quality! I’m going to try it 🤍 I heard a lot of people have been using the Canon G7 or the Canon ELPH 360, I’ll have to look into which one may be better but both are pricy although of course worth it in the end!
