I really love the character design for the Porter. The care into the fact he as permanent damage and bruising around his shoulders from his job. is just a detail that really stuck out to me. He’s also using a proper aluminium frame for carrying those kinds of loads. I really feel the amount of time and possibly hiking the designers did to really capture the state and equipment of someone who is permanently walking and hiking with loads on their backs.
Say what you will about this game's story and gameplay, everything about it visually is brilliantly executed. The design of the equipment and techology, the face tech, the design of the BTs and all the ghost shit, the cyberpunk-neon UI, all of it is fuckin super cool.
Picture this: A side mission where you have to deliver a cardboard box. The cardboard box weighs about 200 Lbs. If you drop the cardboard box, you hear a man grunt. MGS tie-in!
No cardboard box shenanigans (we hologram rocks now), but there's a brazen MGS homage near the end of the game that'll make you smile while face-palming. Classic Kojima.

From what I can figure out, the voidout thing is connected to chirality. Chirality is about asymmetry, how your left hand is a mirror image of your right but cannot be superimposed upon one another. Far as I can tell when someone dies they become a BT. Should a BT come into contact with a live human, they cancel each other out and trigger a voidout.
So Chirality is basically mirror paradox principles 101, dead and living in contact, much like past and future on some atom splitting shit. Kojima really likes that funky pseudoscience doesn't he

Honestly, I don't see how indivisible is not an RPG. Video games lost the plot on what RPG meant long ago. Having or not having items or equipment is so meaningless to the actual, orignal definition of Role-Playing Game.
The real problem is that we stopped using the genre handle "Adventure Game" when the SNES came out. ...IE: thats what people are ACTUALLY playing when they **think** they're in an _RPG_ that has them going to find some hidden key in a log or doing certain dialogues to get different branching paths and then managing a ton of inventory that also ALL came from the Environment itself. A real Role playing experience is you having a unique purpose of sorts, "Crafting" your OWN solution to the most common problems your archetype must struggle with most frequently. And then Socializing with other people AS that predetermined role. The whole point is that you're NOT an adventurer with every answer fated to exist in your heavily funneled path. Instead your'e a limited options trope embracing the cognitive dissonance for a fleeting amount of time and that allows you to think about the world very differently than you would have otherwise allowed yourself to

And if a body isn't cremated it eventually becomes a BT, and if you just let a BT come into being around other people then inevitably it'll kill somebody, and boom. Unless I'm wrong, but I think that's what's going on.
