Relieved to see our RPD officers appeared to be physically okay. Prayers for the lady to rapidly recuperate from the injuries inflicted upon her by the low life parolee who obviously is not rehabilitated and may never be.
Glad the bad guy lost, but there were way too many shots fired towards that innocent woman. If that were my wife, mother or daughter in that other vehicle, I'd be upset with the disregard shown by the officers.
I mean, that's up to the investigation to determine. But driving towards an officer is using your vehicle as a deadly weapon, so unless it's something we are missing here, it should absolutely be reasonable use of force.
I think RPD has an authorized/approved sidearms policy that permits officers to carry a personally owned gun as long as it meets requirements set by the department armorer.
Have you ever fired a semiautomatic gun when your adrenaline is pumping? I have an it's super easy to unload a clip in that situation. Also, when cops fire at a moving vehicle, they are hoping at least one bullet will stop the guy so they shoot many to increase the odds.
Criminals are trained to kill. Who knows what could of happend next. You seen the video. Your dumb if you think this guy wouldn't of done more than just try to drive off
damn its a miracle none of the shots hit the lady in the ford explorer who was clearly still in the backdrop of direction of fire.....
That’s what I came here to say. Jeeze

Or may be. Who knows.

I'd say that was a reasonable use of force. What a jerk. Hope the innocent victim is OK.

Saving tax payer money, thank you👍
Even this is different from the other one. Car was backing up into a police officer.
Love that 1911!
Same here. I have mine L&L....in case of emergency 😀
also pretty interesting to see cop2 using a 1911 with only 8rd magazine.....compared to most other cops always having glock17 or 19s with 15 rounds.
Because he hits what he aims at? (quote from a movie cop who used a 44 mag S&W)

Did they really have to fire that many bullets like really I understand he tried to run them over but I just think they get trigger happy…

@@DivineMizE why not shoot the tires looks like their trained to kill. That’s just my opinion based on what I saw.
