New subscriber!! I love this presentation!! Mrs. Mae is absolutely beautiful!! The kind of mother that keeps her family fed!! The onion is new to me as well the next time I make oyster fritters I’ll definitely add it. I’m from MD. Old Bay is a go to for me in most things. I’ve heard about the months with the letter R. Her family is beautiful. They all look like ladies in my community. The final product looked delicious!! Looking forward to seeing more from your channel. My sincere condolences in the passing of Mrs. Josephine. ❤😢
Such a lovely happy video with some family history too so nice seeing the family too! Just came across your channel and I'm a Newby subbie! Beautiful ❤😁👸🏾👏🏾👏🏾 tyfs Mrs. Mae!
Our staple in SE Texas as well is old bay for seafood. Love fried oysters. Mountain oysters are good like this too. Save that juice Its the same way ya save some of the broth of the chk to the side as well when making dumplings. I have my grandmother's fork as well. Will not part with it for no amount of money. Hope you come back to cook. Just came across the channel. Sure like to see Mae's cook up some fried green tomatoes 😋
GOD bless you 🙏and thank you 🙏 for your wonderful oyster recipe because I truly love ❤️ oysters. Is this your 1st video or do you have any more recipes on seafood 🦞
I in Kentucky, she a woman I love to cook with, love Old Bay, never tried pancake mix, I make rolled oysters and I always use oyster juice, crushed crackers, little flour mix, take tablespoon of batter roll in flour roll flame put oyster in middle pinch shut
This was a great time filming this video, especially at the end tasting the fritters. They were delicious 😋 I wish I had some now. I'm proud of Kelly and I think this is our best video we filmed thus far. More videos to watch in the future.
Yep! When I heard that it melted my heart and it reminded me of home. That’s exactly what my ma ma (grandmother) and papa ( granddaddy) told me. My uncle too. Miss you Georgia.
Tell us what's old bay got in it let alone everything else from scratch this is really poor ? A box of this a shake of this ? Typically American store brought ingredients? And nothing absolutely nothing from scratch?

How does she save her chucked oysters? Does she freeze them? My family always ate them the same day we dug them up. Enjoying this!

Everyone needs to know when oysters are in season. I love that. >My mother taught me that a long time ago. Keep up traditions PLEASE! Think about dat!
Yep! When I heard that it melted my heart and it reminded me of home. That’s exactly what my ma ma (grandmother) and papa ( granddaddy) told me. My uncle too. Miss you Georgia.
My Favorite is Oysters anyway you fix Them
Thank you ! I can’t wait to cook !
My grandma used to always say, “First you wash them real real good”, every time we’d ask her how to cook something. This brings back memories.🥰
What was the seasoning after old bay?
Yum!
Can you put green peppers with the onions?
Is that regular pancake batter?
This.is.so.so.good.😂❤😅😂❤.
I saved this recipe and will carry on her legacy.
I use to love Aunt Mae's oyster fritters until I became allergic to seafood.
❤❤❤
Wonderful video, but I was taught never to rinse oysters and wash away their 'liquor'.
Food processor for the onions.
I use a long tongs
Never never never wash the oysters you rinse the flavor out !!!!
Oysters Don't need to be washed
Crazy 'bout a gap toothed woman! Smoking'!

This is why people like you don't know anything. You should treasure those who have experience.
