Funny how all social media is mindless, and LinkedIn makes all the sense in the world. But then, this video is on UA-cam and not bloody LinkedIn. It's like we're all struggling to have a basic understanding of simple concepts. What a way to unconsciously undermine your own content while being hypocritical still. So much information and detail is misrepresented in this video, bordering on pure fanboy-ism or polished fanmade propaganda - that props up a platform needlessly. This content (on a channel that's supposedly "Logically Answering"), is entirely misleading and rife with misinformation. And I think it is all so unnecessary. Yes: money matters we all know that. But the LinkedIn vs. WhatsApp comparison used in this video illustrates the basis of my criticism of how out of whack this entire video is. Dude could have actually chosen to present useful information in an honest and relevant manner, but no. I'm stupefied by how deliberately misleading and highly opinionated this video is, but presented as factual - sadly, I think it'll be the last time I watch a video on this channel. Best wishes going forward.

I can totally see how LinkedIn 'matters' in our day-to-day life. I subconsciously use 'presence in LinkedIn' as an indicator that somebody is serious about their career (or at least that career matters to them).

this video is missing the point. if you look at app trend in china, you can see the future is in "superapp" and social media has a strategic advantage in positioning itself to become a superapp. that's the reason why Elon sold some of his Tesla share to buy Twitter. while I don't know if he would be the winner of the race to the superapp. social media isn't the endgame, it is just a means to the end. LinkedIn as profitable as it is, has no means of expanding into superapp. saying Microsoft is the winner is kinda like saying Toyota is the winner because EV is not profitable, however the goal of EV isn't about electricification, it a path toward automated transport system. if you allow executive to make decision based on current earning, you end up becoming the next "kodak" moment.
