- மழை பெய்தால் முதலில் அந்த நீர் பூமிக்குள் செல்ல வேண்டும். நிலத்தடி நீர் அதிகமாக உள்ள பகுதிகளில் அருகில் உள்ள நீர்நிலைகளுக்கு மழைநீர் கால்வாய் வழியாக கொண்டு செல்லப்பட வேண்டும். ஆனால் நடப்பது என்ன?
பெருமழையோ ,சாதாரண மழையோ, எதுவாக இருந்தாலும் வருடத்தில் இரண்டு மாதம் கழிவு நீர் கலந்த ஏரி தண்ணீரில் தத்தளிக்கும் மேடவாக்கம் CBI colonyஐ ஒரு ஆய்வு செய்வோம் வாருங்கள்.
போக்கு கால்வாய் கிடையாது. ஆகையால் வீடுகளின் நடுவே உபரி நீர் ஓடுகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் பருவ மழை காலத்தில் ஏரியின் மதகை திறப்பது [உடைப்பது] குறித்து ஏரியின் வரத்து [மேற்பகுதி] மற்றும் வடிகால் பகுதி மக்களிடையே ஒரு பதட்டம் இருந்து கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. ஒரு நிரந்தர தீர்வு கிடைக்காதா என்று அந்த பகுதி மக்கள் காத்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள்.

சரியான வடிகால் இல்லாததால் இந்த மேடவாக்கம் ஏரியின் தண்ணீர் வீணாவதோடு பார்க்கின்ற வழியெங்கும் தண்ணீர் தேங்கி மக்களும் மிகுந்த அவதிக்குள்ளாகி அல்லல் படும் நிலமை இங்கு கடந்த 7 வருட காலமாக நடந்து கொண்டு இருக்கிறது. ஊரெல்லாம் தண்ணீர் வற்றினாலும் RG நகரும் இங்குள்ள பல தெருக்களும் தண்ணீர் வற்றாமல் எந்த ரோடு வசதியும் இல்லாமல் மக்கள் படும் பாட்டை சம்பந்த பட்டவர்கள் அறிந்து புரிந்து இந்த ஏரிநீருக்கு தனியார் அடுக்கமாடி குடியிருப்பின் சுற்றுப்புற சுவரின் வழியாக பெரும்பாக்கம் எரி வரை வடிகால் அமைத்து நிவர்த்தி செய்ய வேண்டும். பல ஆண்டு கால பிரச்சனையை அறப்போர் இயக்கம் காணொளி மூலமாக சுட்டிக்காட்டியதற்கு மிக்க நன்றி.

அறப்போர் இயக்கத்துக்கு நன்றி.தெளிவான காணொளி மூலம் பிரச்சினை விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.ரங்கநாதபுரம் ஏரியிலிருந்து பெரும்பாக்கம் ஏரிக்கு வடிகால் இணைப்பு ஏற்படுத்தவும்,ரங்கநாதபுரம் ஏரியை ஆக்கிரமிப்பிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றவும் தமிழக அரசு தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை உடனடியாக எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

Nicely captured the ground reality. Kudos.I am at RG Nagar tail end. For every rain the excess water drained from rangarajapuram lake flows through plots and roads and all low lying areas in between the lakes gets inundated with flood. LACK of roads and storm water canal is the root cause of the issue. Authorities never thought holistically to arrive at permanent solution. All they do is temporary fixes each and every year. When will the government and authorities heed to our recurring issues and problems.
வடிகால் அமைத்து எரியும் பாதுகாக்க படவேண்டும். மேடவாக்கம் கூட் ரோடு பஸ்நிலையம் இந்த ஏரியில் தான் உள்ளது. ஆக்கிரமிப்பாளர்களால் ஏரி ஆக்கிரமிக்கப்பட்டு ஏரியின் சுற்றளவு பாதியாக குறைந்துள்ளது.

Thanks for covering our poor situation. Adding to your information, right now there is no way for water to flow out RG Nagar. Due to heavy flood with the help of jcb our local community created two passage for water to reach perumbakkam lake, one of which have been closed by casa Grande. Now the water inflow is more than outflow and that's keeping us in danger.

Sir, Thanks for your coverage. Please visit to nallathambi Nagar and prasanna street exactly Ranganathan salai , medavakkam as well. Even in non rainy days water used to flow on the roads.This is the scenario since last year.
TN Government, please do something about this.
Some 13years before, I have seen clear water running below this culvert and a huge pond near water tank... water was so good and have seen kids swimming and cattles around ... now the picture totally changed, this lake is now a sewage water tank
Will this reach our CM. ? What we have to do for this. ?

Rain over but no work done in ranganathapuram lake medavakkam Chennai 600100 pin code only Chennai but no drainage facilities, all road damaged no government is care about this area only God has to save us
Adding to your point, encroachment of lake. Streets illegally formed however encroachments are not cleared

The saddest party is those who spend lakhs and lakhs of rupees for their home are facing problem with water flowing on all corners after paying the taxes. Government should remove encroachment without delaying.
So it's evident that it's not just the Govt which has to be blamed but unmindful construction of houses on water path by common public too... So we will have to bear the brunt for the mistake committed.
The panchayat collected amount from every resident for laying road/bridge .. but didnt do anything..all money waste..
