Now Luke plays an Ibanez. Tim used to play the aforementioned ESP and even earlier a Schecter C-1 Plus, now he plays the ESP Viper or EC-1000 (Shown in the MTV videos).
this is my favorite Protest song i have heard. it is the heaviest from Fortress i think, which is pretty a metal album. i like that they clarify the keyboard solo is missing from the live play, and it still sonds fuckin' sweet.
I think they're just different. Ibanez' sound and feel is more attuned to the music they're making as of late. Luke's ESP sounded great for epic guitar duels in Kezia, this is not Kezia anymore guys. (herman li got luke to switch brands lol)
