I love the bright and cheery feel to these cards! Thanks for another fun sheetload!
Thanks for watching and being part of the team!! :)
I love this sketch and I love your vellum card bases. #QOTV - I agree with your "frugal approach for white card bases and it deletes the need for another white piece in side. I prefer to use my colored cardstock for layering.
So glad you enjoyed the vellum cards, Wanda! Thank you for taking the time to watch and answer the #QOTV. :)
Thanks for the tips and hints about cutting the paper the best way! I am grateful for your hard work in getting us sketches so I can make the cards quickly.
So glad you enjoy SheetLoad too!! Thanks for watching :)
Your tips and card layouts are so fast and easy to make. I enjoy your videos!
Thank you for the kind words :)
#QOTV...YAY, happy to see one of my questions was asked! White is definitely the most commonly used cardstock for bases, which the majority of mine are, however, I do like to use colored cardstock, especially the Kraft color, for my card bases!
I love the added touch of the doily die cut for your circle sentiment, and of course I LOVE those sentiments, and I was VERY happy to hear you'll be sharing those with your members! Can't wait for them! Thanks Alicia for all you do for your subscribers! Glad our "virtual" paths have crossed!
You *may* have another question on today’s ‘Four on Friday’ video too. ;) I have already linked the sentiment printable and cutting files on the community tab. Let me know if you need help locating. Thanks for the question and for watching. :)
Thank you for creating these sketches using 6x6 papers. It’s really encouraging me to use up my 6x6 paper pads (which oddly seem to be increasing on their own!) 😉
#QOTV prior to “sheetload” I would use colored CS for my bases. Since becoming addicted to “sheetload” and producing MULTIPLE cards, I have switched over to a heavier weight CS mostly in neutral colors … white, cream, Kraft, gray and black.
Paper pads have a funny way of multiplying ;) Thanks so much for watching and sharing your favorites!
Great tips cutting all your paper. And No waste Cards are beautiful. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video - thank you for watching :)
I love watching your process and tips videos. TFS.
Thank you so much :)
Terrific cards and tutorial. Also appreciated the extra tips. I am definitely going to make these cards as they are easy and straightforward thanks to your instructions and printouts. TFS
So glad you enjoyed the video - thanks for watching :)
#QOTV I use white for base most of the time. Sweet cards, I like the wide border on the base card and the sentiments are a perfect touch! Thank you Alicia!
So glad you enjoyed the video, June. Thank you for taking the time to watch and answer the QOTV. :)
#QOTV: I like to use the basic colors of cardstock, mostly white, cream, black, and Kraft. I love your idea for using the doily, it really made a difference with your cards, I love them. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share :)
Love your cards and I really like this month's sheetload. #QOTV I prefer white card bases. It saves me a step of putting a white piece on the inside to write on. Thanks for sharing your process and tips! 🙂
Good point about needing the white piece inside. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I like the idea of the vellum base.
Thank you :)
I like the seemingly simplistic way these cut & come together. Also how they give variety that way too.
#QOTV Typically I would use white or black for the base. It depends on if the card is for a sympathy or maybe a wedding type of occasion. For something of that nature, I may use a colored base just to give it more special feel.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and share your QOTV answer :)
The doily adds a really nice touch and I’m intrigued by the vellum - I think I have some that might work. #QOTV white white white. Almost always white. I love the crispness.
Thank you for watching and sharing your favorite :)
Thanks for the process video. It will help especially in cutting those smaller pieces.
Glad it was helpful! :) Thanks for watching!
Great tip to cut small strip on an angle!
glad that was helpful! :) Thanks for watching
Love this for 6x6 printed paper!!
Thanks for watching! :)
#QOTV I usually use white cardstock however at rare times I do use coloured cardstock. Thanks so much for your process video. I always love seeing you create. Sending love and hugs. God bless. 💙🤗
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for taking the time to watch and share :)
Love this set of cards. #QOTV I usually use colored cardstock. I use a color that works with my patterned paper and embellishments.
Thanks for watching and sharing. :)
#QOTV I used to use colored cardstock exclusively for my cards, but now I only use colored cardstock about a third of the time. I am finding I can save money that way... and hey, who doesn’t want to save money?!! I really like your 4 choices of 6x6 patterned papers. They match one another so well. I’m going to check out your design team cards, too. I haven’t done that before but I am interested to see their take on your new monthly design. I love Sheetload!!
You will not be disappointed when visiting the team. I watched/visited them all today and was very inspired. Thank you for taking the time to watch and share. :)
Very pretty cards. #QOTV I usually use white cardstock. 😊🤗
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
I was surprised to see a card with no sparkle from you. I always see that as your trademark. I love that this set could make a great teacher gift. Love these
Right?!?! It did feel a little odd not adding any :) Thanks for watching!
#QOTV I like to use a light color of colored card stock for the card base. If it is light, it can be written upon without adding the extra white layer. Love the new sheet load. Thank you!
That is very true and glad you like the June SheetLoad too :)
#QOTV I generally use white card bases. I can purchase them prescored with envelopes reasonably. For special occasions I may use colored cardstock. I also buy kraft cardstock in bulk that I sometimes use.
That's awesome you can get them pre-cut and scored with envelopes! Would love to know if that is an online resource. I also have bulk kraft that I use sometimes too. Thanks fo watching and sharing :)
Great set of cards and pattern paper....thanks for sharing this month SheetLoad sketches.....
I'm going to jump in it now in making my SheetLoad card so camping doesn't interfere like last time....lol
#QOTV.....I usually used white card stock for my base of my cards but now and then I use color too
Sounds like you had a good reason for interference ;) Thanks for watching and sharing
#QOTV White is my fav but do use colored sometime. Thanks for showing us the process. Love the cards.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
I really enjoyed the video. I have just found you. beautiful card. I always wondered how that technique was done. Thank you.
Welcome! I hope you will subscribe and hang out for a while :)
#QOTV I tend to use colored card stock for my card bases. I love these vellum cards! Neat idea!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share :)
Another fun Sheetload awaits! I'll have to check out your collaborators later, but it's always fun to see their interpretations, too. #QOTV: I usually use white cardstock for my bases because I make cards for the local seniors and they don't really care. It does save some money, which is always a good thing. I'll occasionally use colored cardstock if the mood or situation dictates. Thanks, Alicia, for your continuing hard work in keeping your channel interesting and inspiring.
I am more likely to use colored bases if it is a single card, but rarely do I use them for SheetLoads - too stingy with my colored CS :) Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment, Lucy!
#qotv I am an equal cardstock oppurtunist lol. I definitly prefer using solid colours for the bases. White, Black, Grey, Kraft, generally neutrals is what I use most, but I do use colours.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
Fantastic sheetload of cards 😻 I love the pattern papers and your sheetload design #QOTV mostly white card basic ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
I love this sheetload as usual, and I'll have to give it a go. #QOTV I use mainly white or cream card based, like you I save my coloured card for other things, also I find if I use coloured card I often have to put a white piece in anyway, especially if using a dark card base... thank you for sharing your ideas...
thank you for taking the time to watch and share your QOTV answer :)
#qotv I buy white, cream, and black cardstock for card bases, and save my pretty paper for card fronts. Thanks, Alicia, as always, for a great sheetload.
Thank you for watching and sharing your card base faves :)
Never thought of vellum like this. Clever. TYFS. 🤓💖💖💖🏵
Thanks so much :)
I love your monthly sheetload of cards and your collaborators cards and happy with getting all the perks that come with the membership. Like you I always use white cardstock that I buy in bulk (#QOTV)
So glad you are enjoying membership, Bertha! I appreciate your support :)
#QOTV, I also usually use white or ivory since I buy them in bulk also.
I love those colors in bulk, too :) Thanks for watching
Thank you for sharing❣️
You are welcome :)
Love the colors and papers used to make this set. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
Thank you so much! :)
love the dollie around the sentiment.
Thanks so much. :)
#qotv I often use white card bases bc I love how clean it looks and also stretches my supplies. I also have a ton of paper so I use that as a card front if needed.
Sounds like a great plan - I also like to stretch my supplies. :) Thank you for watching and sharing!
Another terrific SheetLoad. #QOTV Mostly white card bases because I have more of it.
Thanks for watching and sharing :)
What a beautiful set of cards. I hope to try this to get me out of my post-Covid crafty slump. #QOTV I usually use white (or sometimes off white) card bases. I will use a colored card stock if I’m making a fancy fold card that requires a 12” length.
Hope you are able to get crafty soon! Thank you for watching and sharing :)
can't wait for the links
Welcome to channel membership! :)
I like this sketch. I may give the vellum cards a try since I own some. QOTV I use a lot of white for card bases and often add color with layers.
I hope you will try it! :) Thanks for watching and sharing
Beautiful cards as always. I love the sheetloa d x
Thanks so much, Sandie!
#QOTV I use white bases but lately I’ve been cutting a colored front cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to cover the front if I wanted a colored cadbase front… looks great and saves paper!
That is a GREAT idea!! Thanks for watching and sharing, Hildenell :)
I always enjoy your process videos and tips. Another great Sheetload!🥰
Thanks so much, Karen! Love having you as part of the team :)
I love that I get to use my new circle dies for this one.
Woohoo! Always love it when we can use a new tool / product :) Thanks for watching
I'm heading to Staples tomorrow to see about the covers so I can finally try clear cards!
I also LOVE the vellum ^^
Hope you can get some. Ask at the copy center in there for clear covers they use for binding books.
Can't wait to try this sheetload!
Love to hear it :)
great cards! love the sketch. #qotv: i use mostly white as i use a thicker cardstock and i'd rather have only one color to keep in my stash.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing :)
Pretty cards! #QOTV: what a good question! I find that I most often use white card stock
It is like a neutral background for any colored card stock or designer papers.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
#QOTV white is my choice for card bases because that is what I end up buying in bulk~!
Me too :) Thanks for watching and sharing!
#QOTV: I use white or ivory, which I buy in bulk. I rarely use colored cardstock because it's not as heavy. I do like the look, though, and I do occasional use it.
I could have written your entire comment :) Thanks for watching and sharing.
#QOTV I typically use a very thick white card stock as my base. But every so often I do use colored card stock as well!
Thanks for watching and sharing. :)
Love these!!
Thank you :)
I love how you have your bone folder tethered to your scoreboard!!🤣 (I’m always losing mine-it’s usually under something!) #QOTV I use colored cardstock if it’s light enough. I have used darker, but then I have to make a white piece for the inside. I do this more for Christmas cards.
Another viewer mentioned that too ;) It is actually a tool that is specific to this board - it looks like a wood bone folder, but there is a groove cut out of the top for the metal strip down the center. I know I would have lost that long ago, had the company not thought ahead and tethered it there :) Thank you for watching and sharing, Nikki!
@@CallMeCraftyAl 😂🙌🏻
#qotv. I use colored card stock. When I make your cards I use the color you use for your last layer. I don’t like stamping on the white inside. Doesn’t seem heavy enough compared to front
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share :)
This is a cute set of cards. Love this layout. I’ll be using this for some cards I’ll be doing.
Wonderful! Hope you can get crafty soon :)
This may be my favorite Sheetload yet, Alicia! I use my Papertrey Doilies dies all the time, definitely a favorite! #QOTV The majority of my card bases are white, but I will use colored cardstock on certain cards.
So glad you like the new layout and have the doilies in your collection as well - such a great, versatile set. Thank you for watching and sharing :)
I think the best thing I saw in this video is that you've got your bone folder chained up to that score board like it's a bank pen. Genius! Why didn't I think of that?
Hee hee, another viewer mentioned that as well. :) That is actually how the board came - which was a good decision by the company because I would have lost it a long time ago. It is a special tool with a groove cut out of the underside so it will fit over the metal strip on the center. Thanks for watching!! :)
Qota# depending on my pattern paper, I use both.
Thanks for watching and sharing :)
I love this month's SheetLoad sketch! I can see getting a lot of cards made with this and working my way through that never ending pile of adorable 6x6 paper pads I've accumulated!! #QOTV as for the card bases, I mostly use white. If I use another color it's cream or ivory.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your QOTV answer :)
#QOTV I mostly use white card bases, and generally matte with black card.
Thank you for watching and sharing, Gail :)
I'm excited just from reading the title. I haven't even watched it yet lol.
Love it. :)
#QOTV - prefer white card bases over colored because I usually have more of that on hand. I may with color.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
What a great sketch, Alicia, and such gorgeous papers! Fabulous cards!
#QOTV I use white for a happy clean look and vanilla or cream for Fall/ Winter themes. I would like to use colored Cardstock but find cutting the white layer inside a pain.
I feel that :) Thanks for watching and sharing.
I found a ream of grey 110 cardstock that gets rotated in with white or Kraft for card bases. #QOTV
I like to use gray from time-to-time too. Thanks for watching and sharing. :)
#QOTV I use white and off white or black cardstock for card bases and my colored cardstock for matting
Me too for the most part. Thanks for watching and sharing :)
#QOTY- I like to use white or ivory card bases so I know I’ll always have a place to write. Colored cardstock needs to have white piece added to inside for message.
Very true! :) Thank for watching and sharing.
#QOTV. Iknow it cost more but I do but them both! I like the look! Never used velum or clear sheet! Where do you get the vellum in that weight!
I have a link in the description box of the brand and weight I buy. Even if you don't purchase through Amazon, you will still have the name and weight. Thanks for watching!
Does the adhesive show through the backs when you glue to the vellum?
Yes it does. Just like on my clear cards I really don’t let that concern me. I figure the front is being looked at/displayed. You could cut extra layers to put on back and I know others use a sponge with glue for a more even, overall adhesion. Thanks for watching! :)
Hi Alicia. I did my sheetload but What can I do as the adhesive shows inside the vellum?
Cris, I usually don't let that stuff bother me, but you could always back it with cardstock/patterned paper inside the card. Hope that helps. :)
How can I get the other sheet loaded of cards I think that is a good idea. Love them
Here is a link to the series playlist. It will include debut and process videos for each month. You will want to check out the debut videos to find out how to download each month's file. Another way is to join my channel as a member and you will have a link to a one-stop-shop of all past SheetLoads ua-cam.com/video/RAvq0IieDrU/v-deo.html
#qotv I use both but will be trying to avoid buying colored again so once I use it up I will just cut a colored piece the same size as the case base and put it on the top. I buy 110 lb michaels recollection for card bases but in effort to cut back on so much "stuff" I plan to stay away from the colored stuff plus then I have to add a white liner if I use a colored base.
A few people have mentioned having to add the white inside - I never really thought about that - great way to save! :) I will have to try the Recollections cardstock next time I run out. Now I usually use Hobby Lobby heavy weight. Thanks for watching and sharing, Sara :)
@@CallMeCraftyAl I only buy the 110lb when it’s $10 a ream :)
@@bitsnbytes10 I always wait for the 40% off at HL :) I LOVE a good deal
#QOTV Mostly use white
Thanks for watching and sharing :)
Hi, I saw you wore a Hawkeye shirt, are you in Iowa? I live in Burlington Iowa.
I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and currently live in the Omaha area. My mom lives in Burlington. :)
@@CallMeCraftyAl so awesome!
#QOTV=I like white thick card stock for my base.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
white is great but, usually use colored. #QOTV
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
I usually use white as a card base #Qotv
Thanks for watching and sharing :)
QOTV white
Thanks for sharing. :)
#QOTV I use both, comparing to the card I am making. Really do not prefer the one or the other.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
#QOTV - WHITE
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
#Qotv: I use color card stock, white, and vanilla card bases. What base I use is based on the card I am making.
Thank you for watching and sharing :)
QOTV: I mostly use white card bases but once in awhile I use colored cardstock
That’s always pretty!! If it’s dark I usually put in a white piece for the inside.
Me too, Tammy :) Thanks for watching and sharing
