He plays Kane who drops to 10, foden who drifts into 10, Bellingham as 10, and brings on Palmer who is also a 10. I've never seen a manager so completely out of touch with the game. He shouldn't be anywhere near football.
Indeed. Southgate believes that starting matches with three right backs & three No.10s is the key to success. It creates acres of space on the left hand side for no one to run in to.

Ollie Watkins is the same scenario as Vardy in 2016. We would win more without Kane.
If Gareth dropped Kane and did this everyone would say “you can’t drop Kane”. Media and fan agenda forgetting all he’s done in 7 years
Southgate has got one tactic, sit back keep a clean sheet and hope England score first. If it doesn't work he doesn't know what to do. Using Watkins and Toney would require a plan B or C which Southgate clearly doesn't have. If Switzerland score early and dominate, watch Southgate stand around doing nothing until the 89th minute when he decides to just throw on his attackers because the only thing he needs to worry about at that point is just attacking.

What annoys me the most is the amount of props he gets, “He took us to a final, he took us to a semi final” he’s beaten NOBODY, aside from Germany. He’s had easy runs in major tournaments. Also people talk about him having a “71% win rate” well obviously he does because most of those wins are in qualifiers against minnows.

Watkins or Toney have different skillsets, and should be brought on depending on the circumstances and what you want to accomplish. That's a normal expectation of an experienced successful manager...Unfortunately England have Southgate, who has no real clue how to use subs, how to effect a game. Watkins and Toney would be a nightmare for any defence play them 2 up top.
Kane has been excellent for England over the years .
But at this tournament a most probs down to injury he has been really poor and should not have played the amount of minutes he has had .
If you ain't fit you shouldn't be playing at international level especially.
